New journal [25 Oct 2008|12:38pm]
[ mood | good ]
[ music | Dido: Do You Have A Little Time ]

LiveJournal and their myriad of ads all over the place and their constant userpic cutbacks finally drove me 'round the bend - I left and joined this most brilliant journal site - scribbld.net

I have constructed a new system of communities instead of multiple journals to separate my personal rambling from my creative endeavours:
[info]refinedcrap - original art
[info]shadesofsepia - photography
[info]textbox - original writing

I have also separated my fandom self from my more "official" self - I don't want the two associated again. Yes sure, I'm a trekkie and a regular science fiction geek, but I'll try to keep fandom things away.

Round and round we go [25 Oct 2008|05:27pm]
[ mood | headache ]
[ music | Bryan Adams: Summer of '69 ]

My life is a bloody merry-go-round. I’m serious (when am I not?). It’s autumn again and I’m ill – nothing’s new there, but the thing is I was supposed to help out with a scouting activity tomorrow afternoon.

Last evening I contact the chairman of our scout district (because the only reason I was helping out at this activity is because I’m a member of the district board) – he told me to contact one of the other board members, which I did at the same time as I contacted the consultant working with the district. The board member I contacted told me to contact the consultant and the consultant told me to contact my “team” – meaning the chairman or one of the other board members...

Now I’ve just given up because to be honest I’ve done exactly what they’ve all asked of me – they’ve all been contacted with the same information.

In other news: My region’s NaNo kick-off was supposed to be today, which I guess it still was, but me being ill had to cancel my participation this year just like the last (what can I say – it’s tradition).

Another tradition is the October pumpkin-fest and Jack-o-lantern carving! I love – absolutely love – standing with pumpkin-gut up to my elbows and it’s fun craving scary faces. Halloween is otherwise a stupid American holiday that only is “celebrated” in Europe because businesses like to milk more money out of the brainless consumers...

When you get to the bottom
You go back to the top of the slide
And you stop and you turn
And you go for a ride
Then you get to the bottom
Then you see me again
