History • • •
Charlie has had a fairly normal life for someone who grew up dirt poor in the English countryside. He has a very large family and with that very large family came expenses for them to all go to school and other things. His mother kept most of her children homeschooled, but sent his brother Percy to boarding school because he showed the most potential.
As a young lad, Charlie would sit around in his room and try to avoid everyone else in the house. He'd dream up elaborate, fantasy worlds where he was a magical knight who had dragons that he protected. But, he couldn't always live in a fantasy world.
At the age of twelve, Charlie got his first job to help support his family. He worked at a lumber mill and then at a fishery. His favourite job didn't happen until he was seventeen years old, where he worked at a concert hall. He got to see live performances six times a week. He already loved music, but this pushed him over the edge of an obsession.
He learned to calm himself and be happy in his music, making it through his work day by listening to David Bowie and even some classical music. But, he had a love for old rock.
Charlie was given a job as an orderly at twenty, when his brother Bill helped him land the job. He has been working there for four years and pretty much knows the ropes around the place. He tries to be kind to the people, so long as they are kind to him. He is, however, not fond of Rider Macnair.
