BLOOD STATUS: Pureblood. He is from a very old magicial family.
POLITICAL VIEWS: The Deveraux family are purists. His father would never let him marry someone who wasn't a pureblood and couldn't prove it. Cristian doesn't hold it against anyone if they're not, nor does he think that it makes him better than anyone else.

Appearance
APPEARANCE: Cristian is tall, standing at over 6' tall, he has a lean finely muscled body. He keeps his blond hair in a neat short hair cut and has baby blue eyes. He dresses to the occasion, in more relaxed situations he's more likely to be in jeans and a button down shirt and slacks and suits for dressier situations. His clothes are clean, in good repair and of the highest quality.

DETAILED PERSONALITY: Cristian is a social person. He is interested in people and getting to know them. He likes to do is his best in everything that he does and doesn't settle for less than his best. Cristian tends to stand out, though it's not something he strives to do. He's from a well known, wealthy family and excels in a lot of things he does. He has a strong sense of personal privacy, he can be a bit reluctant to talk about personal things with people that he is not close to. He is not very emotional and doesn't handle other people's emotions that well. He can be a bit awkward in those situations.

He can be considered eccentric and is intensely curious about most things. He is strongly interested in magic and likes to learn as much as he can. He is opinonated, outspoken and has little interest in the opinions other people have about him and sometimes about other things. He dislikes violence or fighting of any type and would rather dicuss problems to reach a solution.

He can be a very patient person. He has two younger siblings and at times they can be very trying people, as they're both very spoiled. He is a good listener and cares deeply for his friends, he wants the best for them in all things that they do. To people he's not close to he can seem indifferent or detached. He has a deep love for animals of all kinds, even though his parents only let them have a cat as a pet. If he was able to he would have had all sorts of different pets. He has been known to be romantic and is overall a personable and likeable person.

History
CHILDHOOD: Cristian comes from a very privileged background. The Deveraux family is old money so his parents have always been able to give him the best of things. Before coming to Eligere he attended private schools in New York as well as in London, England. Since he mainly attended muggle private schools he had tutors that taught him magic and how to control and hone his magical skills.

His parents wanted their children to have a worldly outlook on life and has been taking them to different places all over the world since before they could walk. Growing up the Deveraux children were often in the care of a nanny while in New York but their parents always tried to make enough time to spend with them.

AT ELIGERE. Cristian was excited when he learned that he would be attending Eligere. He had heard a lot about it from older kids in their circle of friends. When he first entered Eligere he took as many classes and was in as many activities as they would let him, wanting to try out a little bit of everything. Now as a Senior he concentrates on the things that most interest him and will help him in his role in his father's company. He most enjoys Student Goverment and his Literature class.

His best friend at Eligere is Laurence. They are both from New York and from the same social circle and have been friends since they were little. They have some similar core personality traits with makes them get along easily but it also makes for some interesting discussions. They shared a room until they were separated to share a suite with their bethrotheds.

As far as living with his bethrothed, I think it really is going to depend on who she is and her personality type on how he feels on it. No matter what Cristian is going to try and get a long with her as they are going to be married.

Examples
JOURNAL ENTRY: It was a dark and stormy night ... lol. That sounds a little cheesy even to myself. In fact, I feel that writing in this journal is incredibly silly but my sister, being the cute and sometimes silly girl that she is, gave it to me for my birthday. I told her that I would try to use it and well here I am trying. I think it would hurt her feelings if I just tossed it aside.

I am going to be going to Eligere next year (only four months until this school year is over and eight until the new one starts) and I am really excited to be going there. I have read all the information that father and mother received from the school and I can't decide which classes I want to take first and I want to try most of the activities.

Well it is late and I should get to bed, I've got class early tomorrow. Plus I think I've written enough in this for my first entry.

Etain and Krister were sitting leaned back against the wall of the Astronomy tower. They were dressed in layers of clothing and huddled under a blanket, an orb of fire burning near their feet. Krister took a sip of his hot chocolate. "So tell me why exactly you're wanting to drop astronomy?" he asked but continued talking before she could respond. "You know more about the constellations and stars than anyone I have ever met. hell your face lights up just looking at them not the mention the excited way you talk about them. Also, I'd wager that it isn't that uncommon for you to come up here and just simply stare at the sky."

Etain laughed. She had never heard her fascination with Astronomy mentioned the way that Krister had just described it. "I do love it," she said. She looked up at the sky for several moments before sighing and looking back at Krister. "What I am going to tell you cannot be repeated to anyone, ever." Krister nodded his head in agreement and motioned for her to continue. Etain scooted closer to him so that she could speak quietly and still be heard. "At the start of the term I started, well, essentially dating our astronomy professor. Well a few weeks ago he broke things off," she said.

She rubbed her forehead with her fingers before shaking her head. "And stupid, stupid me went and fell for him. It hurts so much to see him at a distance, I don't know that I could sit through his class and not cry," she said.She blinked her eyes, aware that tears had started falling down her cheeks. She wiped them way with the edge of her scarf. "Good things happen and I want to tell him, he's the first person that comes to mind. I wrote a new song yesterday and I made it halfway to his office before I realised what I was doing and on bad days I just want him to hold me. It sucks so much that I have to see him everyday and not get to have any of that anymore," she said. Krister wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "The worst part of it all is that I got scare of my feelings and drove him away. It's all my fault." She took a deep breath, trying to will the tears to stop. "I just think it would be easier if I dropped the class."

Krister kept his arm around her shoulders as they say in silence. He considered the things that she said, he wasn't going to try and give her relationship advice that was something he felt that she needed to figure out for himself. "Is the easy path the one you want to take in life?" he asked. "If you start now who is to say that you won't continue to take it later on in life," he said. "And just because it is easy doesn't mean that is will be the right part or decision. I think that you should consider all the possibilities long and hard before you decide. I'm not trying to talk you out of dropping it, just asking you to consider the options. You after all are the one who has to live with the consequences of those decisions."

Etain felt a slight grin start to form on her lips. She leaned her head to rest on her brother's shoulder. "Thanks for listening Kris," She said. "You're not such a bad kid after all," she said, earning a laugh from him.
