Formerly he had fire and spellbinding magics.
Appearance: Unkempt and slightly crazy-eyed. He does manage to dress himself to an acceptable level of decency, but usually in a cacophony of loud colours and clashing prints. Occasionally dons an orange, tiger-printed chefs hat.

Personality: Unpredictable. Since going mad from the loss of his abilities from Blanket Plague, Uncle's temperament can go from bumblingly harmless to meaninglessly violent in the blink of an eye. However, his loyalty remains with Captain Locke and a stern word from the captain can bring him to submission very quickly.
Strengths: Hasn't set himself on fire yet? Loyal. Generally obedient.
Weaknesses: Unreliable and largely incompetent. Can't actually cook, Makes the other pirates look less badass by association.
Quirks: Likes to tell long and pointless stories.
Secrets: Was a ... sort of... respectable mage, once upon a time.

Biography: Uncle Keelhaul was an ordinary child born to an ordinary family, living an ordinary life. He had a name, of course, but in his teenage years he dropped it for various pseudonyms during a brief foray into a criminal lifestyle. He developed Blanket Plague approximately ten years ago and as a result lost all of his abilities. The sudden disability in a completely magical world drove him to madness, and whilst attempting to drown himself in a half-inch deep puddle on the beach he was picked up by a crew of pirates who took him in as one of their own. He is now the cook for the Vicious Barnacle, despite no cooking ability and a habit of creating worse than wretched meals.

Mod Things

PB: Charlie Sheen

Mordego: Application

In Character

Name: Mordego
Age: Positively ancient
Gender/Preference: Male... possibly homosexual? (DID NOT THINK THIS ONE THROUGH)
Title: The Batfather
Student/Scholar/Graduate/Hearth taught: Was one of the very first students of Marik Academy
Residence: A very secure palatial den at the foot of the Marik Alps
Familiar: No specific familiar, but has a way with bats. They seem to do his bidding.
Magical abilities: Abjuration, necromancy, immortal magic
Appearance: CREEPY. We're talking greying Vincent Price, complete with pencil moustache! Always very well dressed, usually in a dark-coloured evening suit and occasionally a comfy bathrobe/smoking jacket thing. His shoes are perfectly polished and unscuffed. Never gets dirty.

Personality: Quietly forceful and entirely manipulative, Mordego has risen through the ranks of the underworld to become it's unofficial king. Some of this is due to his cold and calculating genius, and some of it is due to his sheer longevity. He always has been, and always will be. Crossing him is a terrible idea, because he never forgets a slight and believes in revenge as a dish best served cold. And he'll serve it in ways you can't even imagine.
Strengths: Very persuasive, immortal, abjured against magical harm, revered and protected amongst the criminal underworld (on the whole, though some disagree)
Weaknesses: Physically frail, emotionally void
Quirks: - Has an affinity with bats. They seem to do his bidding.
- Rather than play with his immortal magic to jump around in age or regenerate in different 'lives' he has chosen to halt his aging in his later years and has never taken on a different persona. He is the same Mordego that was an underworld figure 100 years ago and will be in another 100 years time.
Secrets: Rather fond of roses and has a spectacular rose garden in his estate.

Biography: Mordego always has been and always will be. If there is anyone alive who remembers his birth or early childhood, they have yet to make themselves known. Even he cannot remember that far back. What is known is that once upon a time, a ruthless, calculating upstart named Mordego began to make waves in the criminal underworld of Aylasia, and that his cunning and effective means of operating escalated him through the ranks to become a living legend amongst those in the know. Now, he is Godfather of sorts and a means of contact and negotiation for rival criminal gangs. He remains largely impartial to the politics of crime and the general populace, concerned only with what benefits him.

Mod Things

PB: Vincent Price
