"I fail to see why one should have a reason for wanting to be around. You do not ask a flower why it is in this barren spot while only a few feet away is a lush garden with flowers that resemble it and unique ones." Luna sighed slightly and figured that he wouldn't understand what she was trying to get at.

"Yes, you and I do differ from one another. We are from different houses and I am looked down upon by a good majority of the populous. That does not mean that we have to be strangers.. For Merlin's sake Blaise, you and I work together. Does that mean that I cannot speak to you?" She paused with her mouth open slightly and looked down at the table. Slowly she stroked one of the groves with a long digit before looking back up at him.

"I doubt that you want to hear this, but I am going to tell you the truth.. I find none of this amusing.. I take it all in very seriously even if I do not show it in expression and I also understand very well that you do not like to talk with me or even share the same air space as me.." Luna's eyebrows started pushing together as she talked with him, but she paused to relax her face before she continued. With her hands on the table, she pushed away from it and walked around to stand next to him.

"Even though you do not like me, I still care about you.. I know that things have not always been fair to you.. It may mean nothing to you and you will most likely forever that we even had this conversation.. But I care for you deeply. Just as I do Harry and the others - if not more. If you ever need anything, I am here for you.. I don't care what it might be or how much danger you are in, I will offer you a place to be safe. All you have to do is knock or let me know and I'll be there. You need someone to be there and care for you. I may not be the best person for it, but remember that someone does care for you." Without breaking eye contact, Luna reached down, taking his hand in hers, and squeezed it gently.
