Don't tell me about your past.
Don't tell me about the cards you played before this hand. Don't tell me about the spades you dug with. I'm fine not knowing the secrets you've buried. Don't tell me about the diamonds you paid for. I don't need to hear of the ones you wooed before me. Don't tell me about the clubs you've swung. You're past battles can stay in the past where they belong. Don't tell me about the hearts you trampled over. I don't want to be thinking I could be next.
I've never been one for fairy tales, so spare me the 'once upon a time' saga. I live for now. I live for this moment. I live for the me and you. I live for the rush I feel when you take me in your arms and the hunger I feel when you kiss me. Right now, I've alive. Right now, we're here together. Right now, it's about us.
You're not Prince Charming. But I'm okay with that cause I'll be damned if I ever become Cinderella. I don't want to hear your 'once upon a time' and I can't promise you a 'happily ever after.' What I can promise you is that I'll give this my all. There's no pumpkin-carriages or singing mice in our story. I don't have a fairy godmother and you don't have a white horse.
But what we do have is that little spark of magic.
And after all, isn't that where the fairy tales start?
I'll put my ante into the pot. I'm playing this hand.

This is the best kind of snow. The gentle, quiet kind. No slush, no rain, no hail: just pure white snow. It's the kind that you feel bad touching. The kind that you don't mind walking home in. The kind that causes you to get lost in thought.
Of course I get lost in thought. How could I not? Cause this is our thing, right? "Snow"?
It reminds me of us in a way. It's so light and pretty and almost magical. A little overwhelming maybe, but in a that good way. It comes on quickly, surprisingly. It's all encompassing. It feels so right, so enjoyable, that it's almost startiling. But you have to tred carefully. That first snow is so slippery, that you have to walk with the most cautious steps.
That's us, isn't it?
Magical. All encompassing. So right. Cautious.
And then we just seem to melt away.
