Leo turned EIGHT MONTHS yesterday! I can't believe time has gone by so quickly! Soon he'll be eight, then eighteen ~~and I'll be an old maid!~~ and I just can't even think about that right now!

My books say that doing a bit of Baby Sign Language with him might help ease little fits, because mostly babies cry out of frustration of not being understood! Ma-ma and da-da only go so far, you know!

What signs would you all recommend???

So! I hope everyone's holiday is going well! Well--I guess it's not really a holiday anymore, seeing as my class won't be going back to school in September! But it's still a bit of time before internships start up, right? I mean, I haven't started at the law offices yet, but I've got a week or so. Elphias and I are almost unpacked into our b-e-a-utiful house ~~I still can't believe my dad said it was all right, and I haven't even told him that we're---well I mean---I am a legal witch and---quit complaining---~~ I think what we need though is a dog. Elphias, I'm pretty sure you promised me a dog. A big one.

You've all done a fantastic job for Hogwarts this year, so the professors have decided that we need to spread our amazing skills and generosity to the rest of the wizarding world. So. I know this is short notice, but everyone's going to have to perform ten hours of community service over Easter hols. I know, I know! But really, it's not so bad! The catch is that the seventh years who don't complete it won't get some super honors award, which I know you all really want!

St. Mungo's has offered up spots, the Ministry's got things, and then there's the orphanage and Hogsmeade could do with some help cleaning up the place! Just a little more than an hour a day :) Thanks a lot! [/PREFECTS]

February has arrived! And that means ~~we got rid of the horrid month that was January---~~ we've got a whole new list of things for the students of Hogwarts, mainly concerning that day of Love/Anti-Love. We prefects are looking at for all of you ;)

Anywhoo! The whispers are true: Hogwarts is holding a Valentine's celebration, a soiree, to be exact! Flyers will go up soon, and by dinner tonight, your invitations will be in a nice package delivered to the common room (Prefects are in charge of handing them out, so be nice to them!)

And our flower sale starts today! We need a lot of volunteers! You can send stuff to and from Hogwarts, too, so if your lucky person is outside the castle walls ~~and fighting death eaters on a regular--~~ don't miss out :)
