Pansy was born into a high class family. A well known, high class family. Her father was a professor at Cambridge and her mother a French socialite who had once been a model and actress in her youth. Both of these things put a large strain on Pansy mentally and physically.
Always, Pansy had been taught to hold herself at a high level of perfection. Her mother insisted that she keep herself beautiful and clean and trim and fit. She began to give her daughter milk baths before she could walk, manicures by the time she could talk. And all of this was in preparation for finding a husband and having a bright future.
By the time Pansy was eight years old, she'd already began to develop eating habits. While she loved sweets, she knew she couldn't eat them. Sometimes, when she felt really hungry and the pain from the hunger was too much to handle, Pansy took to punching herself in places where she could hide the bruises. Mostly because cutting herself would leave scars. And her mother would kill her if she did that.
When Pansy turned twelve years old, her mother began to monthly checks at the doctor to make sure that her daughter's virginity stayed intact. She did not trust Pansy one bit, even though Pansy had, in fact, not been having sex. Even while she was sent away to boarding school, her mother had the tests done by the school nurse. Pansy was even afraid to touch herself in fear that her mother and father may find out about it.
Pansy continued to punch herself and slam herself into things. The bruises became more noticeable, however. The lack of Pansy eating was causing her to be frail and the bruises spread out much more on her body than they had before. After making a trip to the nurse, the nurse discovered that Pansy had not been eating.
They put her on a watch, much to her mother's dismay. Only then, Pansy was being forced to eat while at school. But, Pansy wanted to make her mother happy. So she figured out a way to purge what she'd eaten to make sure that she stayed thin. To make sure that she was beautiful.
This continued until Pansy came home from boarding school at the age of seventeen. A newly graduate daughter of the wealthy couple, Pansy began the hunt for a husband. Her parents arranged dates for her, which mostly consisted of her going to dinner with various rich men. Some of them handsome. Some of them not. And they always forced her to eat. Which was bad, because she couldn't immediately purge in a public place.
Pansy packed on a few kilos before her mother put her on a fast for two weeks. Nothing but water and laxatives. After becoming very ill, Pansy was put into the hospital. The doctors knew what was wrong with Pansy, but her parents paid to have them keep it quiet.
After a year of dating and purging her meals, Pansy found a boyfriend she truly cared about. Theodore Nott, a young and handsome young man came into her life and promised to make her very happy. And she began to become very fond of him. She'd even considered sleeping with him. Until he discovered her secret.
As her fiance, and worried about her health, Theodore brought it upon himself to secretly have her put in Sacred Springs, to protect her celebrity, until she could get better. Pansy doesn't want to get better. And she is terrified of what will happen to her.
