Physical description (face, build, weight): Ryota's natural form is that of a Japanese red fox with one tail. Ryota's standard human form when he transforms is a handsome young Japanese man with black hair and brown eyes. Height and weight tend to vary but generally around 5' 10" and 150 lbs.

Abilities:
Transformation: Ryota recently learned how to take human form. He can use this to take any form he wishes though is still not good enough at it to perfectly match a real person but is getting better and better at it. He typically takes a form he made up for himself. Transforming into a human takes some time and effort and can not really just be done on the fly but from human back to fox is instantaneous and effortless.

Fox-Magic- Ryota knows fox magic though since he currently has only one tail they are not very powerful. He can use fox-magic to cast illusions, create portals between Ama and the mortal world, possess people, become invisible, and manifest in the dreams of others.

Use of Regular Oreiental Style Magic: Ryota is still very young for a fox spirit and not all that powerful yet but has some basic skill in this area and can do some elemental magic, Ju-Fo(a type of runic magic), and healing magic.

Fox-Fire- Ryota can breathe balls of burning light that can be used as an attack or to play with when bored but only can use this ability while in fox form.

Fox-Spirit abilities- Ryota is stronger than a person his size should be but only slightly. He is much faster and nimbler than a person could be. Both of these become slightly better when he is in his natural fox form.

Immortal- Ryota is technically immortal and is very hard to kill but is definitely a lot more manageable than on an older fox spirit.

Weaknesses and flaws:
Fear of Dogs- Ryota like all fox spirits has a fear of and hatred for all dogs. Sometimes the presence of a dog will rattle him so much that he will inadvertently revert to his natural fox form generally flee after doing so.

Faith- A person of true faith such as a priest or someone else who shares that level of faith can see through Ryota’s illusions and disguises automatically. He also can not possess these people either.

Inari- All fox spirits are servants of Inari the god of rice and as such Ryota will almost always obey whatever Inari tell him to do.

Fox Tail- The tail is the hardest thing to transform and to keep transformed. It has a habit of appearing when Ryota is scared or drunk. The tail also has a habit of staying around if Ryota transforms hastily. Generally though Ryota wears clothes to hide it from appearing even when he does not have it currently in human form.

Easily Distracted- Ryota is still very young and is thus easily distracted especially by shiny things and candy.

One Tailed- Ryota is very young and currently only has one tail which makes him weak for a fox spirit and mean with with the exception of a few spell most of his make is cast as the novice level.

Backstory: Born over fifty years ago Ryota has been learning how to use his powers and having fun ever since. He is still fairly young for a fox spirit only having one tail. He has spent most of his time until now in the forests of Japan and Ama. Having learned the skill of transformation earlier than most Ryota has decided to have some fun exploring and getting to know people more who he finds are just fascinating to watch.
