Detailed Description: At first glance, one might not immediately assume that Gabriel is in fact a boy, something he does not mind in the slightest. If anything, he encourages this gender confusion. He has his mother’s bone structure with his father’s coloring, making him a very pretty young man. Black hair frames his pale, angular face and contrasts his grey-green eyes that he further accentuates with eyeliner. He is quite small for a boy his age, standing at 5’5” and between 95 and 100 lbs, further adding to his feminine look.

As far as style goes, Gabriel often wears girl’s jeans and pants, and tight fitting shirts. It is very rare that he’ll go out for the day without putting on make-up, even if it’s just eyeliner. Occasionally he charms part of his hair different colors, depending on his mood.

Every now and then, Gabriel will dress entirely in girl’s clothes and go all out with his make-up and even wear a wig. He does this whenever he feels like dressing up like his idol, Lady Gaga, or when he wants to go out to a club.

Detailed personality: Gabriel is selfish and ego-centric, yet at the same time he’s creative and warm and generous to those he considers friends - however only in ways that he’s willing to be. He has an amazingly social and relatively upbeat personality. A Leo through and through, he has confidence and enthusiasm in spades. He loves to be in charge of things and organize stuff - like Drama Club, where he gets to boss people around. However, while he may love the authority, when it comes down to it he is actually quite a good director and leader, if a bit melodramatic at times and a little too demanding.

Despite his smiles and cheer, he’s brutally blunt and honest. If you ask him for his opinion, he’ll give it to you whether you really want it or not. When you ask him if he thinks that skirt or those pants or shorts make your ass look big, he’ll tell you no - your ass makes the skirt/pants/shorts look fat. Or that no because you don’t even have one.

Still, despite his sometimes harsh criticisms and judgements, there’s something about him that’s charming and draws people in. Perhaps it’s the confidence and warmth that he exudes, but usually people are either willing to come back for more or just put up with his honesty and be his friend. Although naturally some people are offended and repelled by the honesty and the fact that he doesn’t seem to get how what he says can be hurtful.

Personal History:
A whirlwind romance and some empty promises, that’s what brought Gabriel Maddox into the world. His mother had met his father in a bar and there was immediate physical attraction along with passion and lust, the two spent eight blissful months together before Caroline discovered she was pregnant. This had been the last thing either had been expecting and the last thing they wanted, however Caroline refused to have an abortion, it going against how she was raised. And so Thomas begrudgingly stayed with her and the baby once it was born. The three lived together in a rather small apartment for three and a half years without any huge incidents. Then Thomas found out Caroline was a witch. He left her - and their son - immediately, not leaving any money or anything, even a way to get in touch with him. He just up and left their little life.

With no money, no real job, no home, and a young child to take care of, Caroline didn’t know where to go. Her parents had disowned her when she took up with Thomas and they certainly wouldn’t be happy to accept her back with her illegitimate son. Luckily, she had an aunt and uncle who were willing to take them in and let her get on her feet. They supported her and watched Gabriel as she figured out what she needed to do. She took classes and worked hard, saving up money and eventually buying a property in Provincetown and setting up a business there.

And so much of Gabriel’s childhood consisted of helping his mother around the shop, which was a magic shop though it specialized in matters of the heart and appearance (Caroline was rather cynical about love and romance, but she knew it sold and was willing to talk to up to suckers). Gabriel grew up surrounded by all things feminine and flirty, despite his mother being neither, as such he tended to become rather confused. He knew most boys his age scorned the company of girls, but he found he rather enjoyed it and liked doing all the girly things they did.

It wasn’t until he reached puberty that everything made a little bit more sense. Having grown up in Provincetown, he was no stranger to the alternative life styles and sexualities so when the time came to start finding those girls attractive and desirable and he just didn’t... Well, he guessed that was that. When he told his mom, it didn’t really phase her. In some ways, it was a relief to her - the ways that she had worried that he’d turn out like his father.

Being in P-town made everything a little bit easier for Gabriel, whenever he had a question someone was there with the answer, from open and friendly and eager people. And so he took all that he could get, becoming increasingly more comfortable with himself and his sexuality.

The evidence of this was reflected in his life and behavior at school. His mother had decided against sending him to Salem, despite the location being much closer (there were relatives in Salem that she’d rather avoid entirely), and so he attended CCI in New Orleans. At first he had been a little shy and withdrawn, unsure of where he fit in at the school and among the students. But as his confidence at home grew, so did his confidence in school and he eventually became a younger version of the person he is today. And when he was sorted into Lalaurie, it wasn’t any huge surprise and it was where he flourished and grew into his own.
