re: baby meme [21 May 2013|11:40am]
A. Robert "Robbie" Daniel Ketch
B. Cancer
C. During one of those confusing demonic invasions, a lust demon got into Joanna. They don't talk about it - but she did decide to keep the baby.
D. Tall and lean with most dark, Caucasian features, but definitely has his father's eyes.
E. 1. Knows his father, and spent some time in Japan - and speaks the language, but is definitely closer to his mother. 2. Tours with his band "Out for Revenge" as a constant road show and pretty much lives on a tour bus. 3. Given that the band members are all super hero brats, the band also pulls some Super-Hero Scooby-Doo action, solving mysteries and fighting supervillains on some stops. 4. Some promoter cited the Robert Johnson myth at one point, and the rumor has stuck, much to Joanna's annoyance, that he sold his soul for his voice tand talent with a guitar. 5. Can use his voice to set up vibrational frequencies in his sword - letting him cause it to phase through objects to hit people behind cover, cut through titanium, cause minor local quakes by stabbing the ground, etc. - this, combined with his image, heritage and public identity caused him to bill himself, in hero circles, as the Six-String Samurai.

She has the power to change what she thinks is wrong - from Can't Change Me by Chris Cornell [10 Jan 2013|01:14am]
Regardless of how things have changed, at least in people's knowledge, Hajime hasn't shown signs of changing a bit. He still mostly lives between the training facilities, his room for sleep and cleanliness purposes, and his personal shrine, more or less in that order. He's at the latter currently, speaking silently with his ancestors.

This is very confusing [27 Jan 2011|11:01pm]
An hour ago he was in handcuffs, surrounded by very noisy people. Worst of all, they took his sword, even though he was trying to cooperate. That should have been a killing offense - but this was not his age. At least they returned it to him, and Mr. Kenishi - the liason for whatever 'Big Hero 6' was, was very apologetic, kowtowing and apologizing every ten seconds. Despite the fact it was proper form, and he spoke the old form, easier for Hajime to follow, it got annoying very quickly too.

And this... base? Very strange place. Told to make himself comfortable - but not where anything useful was, he starts to wander more or less aimlessly.

AIM (if you have one): dajyd
Character Name: Hajime
Character LJ (if applicable):
Physical description (face, build, weight): 6'2, slender and fit.
Age: 17/711
PB: (If using one.) : Tak Sakaguchi - http://www.hollow-art.com/base/tak-sakaguchi
Powers:
Between the rigorous discipline of the kenku, learning spiritual focus and meditation, and an etreme amount of experience for his apparent age, Hajime possesses a nearly inhuman degree of willpower, and is highly resistant to mind control and other types of influence. Through this same discipline, he is capable of pushing himself to extremes, such as remaining conscious when badly injured, and continuing to act when he should be incapacitated by pain.

Also thanks to the kenku, he knows the speech of corvids. He cannot control ravens and crows, but he can understand them and speak to them, and corvids tend to be very well disposed towards him.
He normally has a raven named Karasu accompanying him that will sometimes act as a scout, extra pair of eyes, etc. for him in exchange for food and shiny baubles, but is not under any kind of compulsion and may wander off at times or get distracted.

Weapons:
Hajime possesses his family katana, one of the legendary Masmune blades.

Skills:
Due to his training with the kenku, Hajime is one of the greatest swordsmen and martial artists on Earth. He technically knows dozens of styles of swordsmanship, and several martial arts forms, but has had them taught to him combined to form one extremely versatile style.
He is also trained in the arts a samurai was expected to be able to perform: he can write haiku, paint, ride a horse, fire a bow, handle a falcon, handle himself with courtly manners, plays two instruments, can tell a story, survive in the wild and mix tea.

Weaknesses:
Anachronism: For all that, in his time, he was a young paragon of the samurai and kensai traditions, there were a lot of things that just weren't around in the early 1300's. Hajime cannot drive a car, use a computer, operate a cel-phone, etc. without instruction, and will have difficulty grasping the uses of modern technology.
He is also behind the times in conventions - in his time and at his station, bathing was communal and usually attended by servants. As such, in "appropriate" surroundings, he has no nudity taboo or the like - which isn't to say that he wouldn't be embarassed to be, for example, caught naked in the living room - its just the embarassment would be because its an improper location and time, not because he's naked.
There are other prohibitions and expectations of behavior, of course - that's just one of the more potentially problematic.
Finally, he is a strict adherent of the code of bushido, an honor code that can be used against him, and may eventually cause problems with the modern government.

Character location/Home: Mobile

Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero

Relatives (living/dead?): None living
