OOC:
[Name:] Sass

IC:
The Basics
[Name:] Giovannuzza (Gia)
[Journal username:] giovannuzza
[Age:] 29
[Are they a Fairy Tale Character:] Yes
[Story the character is from:] Giovannuzza the Fox.
[Their One Supreme Talent:] Can turn into a human (from a fox)
[Are they good, or are they bad, or just undecided:] Good. It's everyone else that is bad.
[Where do they live:] The Village, Handel's Tears, Witches' Cove (she moves around)

Appearance
[PB:] Maggie Q
[Description:] When a fox, Gia is a lithe creature with red fur and dark ears and feet. The very tip of her tail and her underside are a snowy white. As a human, her form is very vulpine; slim and springy. Her skin is an olive brown, and her hair a reddish shade particularly in sunlight. Her eyes are sloping and almond-shaped, and so dark they might be black. Again, the sunlight proves that a lie, for there is the tiniest brown light in them. More often than not they are narrowed in a scowl.
[Attire:] When human, Gia dresses very simply. A long linen tunic belted at the waist suffices, and on colder days, a large fur of indeterminate origin wrapped around her shoulders and tucked into the belt. Her shoes are little more than shaped pieces of leather tied at the ankle. Given that she is only dressed around people (and she doesn't much care for people) it doesn't matter to her whether or not she looks barely put together. If she should ever be dressed 'nicely', you can safely assume the outfit is stolen (albeit only temporarily).

Personality
[Strengths:] Fox: swift, evasive, excellent survival skills. Human: can speak, opposable thumbs, cunning
[Weaknesses:] Fox: cannot speak, prey for hunters. Human: distrustful, suspicious, reliant on human contact, cannot swim
[Quirks:] Even when human, Gia sniffs at her surroundings to try and determine its location, contents and level of safety. It's useless though, her enhanced animal senses don't switch bodies with her. She likes to dig holes and bury things. Only eats or sleeps in her fox shape.
[Secrets:] All her life, all Gia has ever wanted is a family, a place to belong and people to love her as one of their own. She thought she had found such heaven once, but was betrayed by 'Count Peartree', and is still smarting from the very recent incident. As a result, she has very little trust of mankind, the males of the species in particular.

[Detailed Personality:] Always a curious soul, Gia started her life by seeking out humankind to discover their ways. Her willingness and desire to try these new things gave her some interesting years in banditry, debauchery, charity and philanthropy-- an odd mix, but she truly did want to experience everything mankind had to offer, both good and bad. She learned fast, and remembered long. She had loves, and she made enemies. And, as many humans do, she grew up.

After some years living it up with any and all who came her way, she felt that instinctual pull to settle. Being somewhat irresponsible, and not having much enjoyed her encounters with children, she decided to join a family rather than start her own. That way she could continue her playful, purposeless ways, and she wouldn't have to teach younglings to respect her need for control. Once it was decided she would try family life, she made her best qualities forefront; her kindness and generosity, and loyalty beyond measure.

However, after having that loyalty betrayed she changed and hardened, trusting no one. There was no need to look out for others, as no one would look out for her in return. She did not think of it as selfish, because it was a necessity of survival. These days, that is all life is to her: Survival.

History
In fairytale lands, or course, fairytale things happen. In one such land, a fox kit was born, and she had the power to turn human should the urge strike her. Her name was Giovannuzza, and she soon left the safety of the den to seek out others of the two-legged kind. And then there was a simpleton named Joseph. She helped him become rich beyond his wildest desire, and found him a beautiful princess to marry, all in exchange for becoming one of their own. No such luck. Betrayed by her only family she set off again, only to meet The Piper at a crossroads deep in the Black Forest of Germany. Now she serves drinks to the scum of the earth in Handel's Tears. Such is life.

RP Samples
[RP Sample:] Betrayed! That ungrateful wretch! He would be nothing without her; a pathetic, penniless farmer! She had given him everything. The respect of a king, a beautiful home and wealth beyond measure, a lovely bride. And in return, nothing. Oh yes, a roof over her head, hot meals. But love? Acceptance? No, he saw her as a lowly animal, little better than garbage. She made him!

Gia truly believed her heart had broken as she ran from the castle, never looking back. She would never trust another man. Selfish, terrible creatures! She would return to the den and live out the rest of her days with her fox brothers and sisters.

If she could just find the den. She knew it to be south of the castle, but she had been running for hours and the scenery... just never became familiar. In fact, she was certain she must be running in circles, for she kept coming to the same crossroads no matter which direction she took. Exhausted, she lay on the grass at the junction with her head on her paws, and whimpered. She was almost ready to drift into sleep, when a melodious noise sounded in the distance. It approached ever closer, until out of the night air, a man appeared to her.

"Are you good, or are you bad?"

She snarled at the stranger, and bounded away into the underbrush. He only smiled at her and started to walk off down the path, a momentary, knowing glance in her direction.

With nowhere else to go, she followed at a distance.

Etc
[How Did you find us?] I'M SLEEPING WITH ALL THE MODS
