Patronus and why: Jess's patronus is a tiny peacock butterfly which symbolizes creativity, freedom anda strong affinity to transformation and shape shifting. Like the peacock butterfly, with the eye-like pattern on it's back, which it uses to scare away larger birds Jess also doesn't let her size get the better of her. Especially not on the quidditch field.

Physical Description:
Jess looks very much like Tatum at her age, except for her green eyes. She's short, skinny and pale skinned with long red hair, much like her mother's. She stands at just 5'2 making her among the shortest people on the quidditch team but it comes with it's benefits. She's also the fastest. She has amazing long distance eye sight which allows her to spot the Snitch with ease but has a bit of a vision problem upclose and has glasses for reading. Which, she kind of hates and is constantly misplacing or forgetting to wear them.
Her hair is a bit wavy naturally and she'll occasionally take the time to straighten it but usually just leaves it how it is or covers it up with a hat. For quidditch and other sports she usually just pulls it up into a messy ponytail, so it out of her face and eyes. <i>And</i> although it's naturally red, being quite good at transfiguration, hair changing spells are simple and she'll sometimes use them to temporarily change her hair to brown or blond.
Much like how she looks and her personality, her style of dress is also very much like Tatum's was, she's very much a sneakers and jeans kind of girl. She dresses very casual and usually just throws on whatevers comfortablest for what she's doing at the time. She's generally doesn't really fuss too much about her appearance, make-up for her is usually like a moisturizer with sunscreen and lip-chap.
She occasionally likes to dress up a bit more, and wear a bit a make-up for dances and special events, mostly just to remind people she actually is a girl. She's quite pretty naturally and when she actually tries she can sometimes shock people with how good she capable of looking. Especially people who are used to seeing her nothing but jeans and baggy hoody. She prefers not to wear dresses and skirts, mostly because she's not really the most lady-like person in the world and almost never sets with her legs crossed.
When she younger she was a tomboy even more so. She was always getting dirty, playing in the mud, climbing trees and building forting and almost always wanted to dress like a boy. Mostly to fit in with her friends, who were, even then, 90% boys. She might where them occasionally now but for the longest time she refused to wear dresses, Mack and Tatum never really pushed her either way though, until she was old enough to realize dressing with a girl sometimes wasn't so bad and it didn't mean she couldn't hang out with the boys just the same. When she was really small before her hair grew to any length, she used to get mistaken for a boy a great deal.
She has two tattoos, both of which were done by Michiko with Tatum and Mack's approval. She got her first at 16, Ariel from the Little Mermaid on her wrist and her second at 17, four stars down her neck from her hair line. Each one representing her and one of three sisters her sisters. She has no piercing, except her ear lobes, although she is considering maybe getting her an eye-brow done.

Dislikes: Really hot weather, the peppercorns, when her sisters beat her at video-games, people who are too uptight (except Claire, Jess thinks she's brilliant), divinations, History of Magic, snobby girls, most girls actually, living in Texas, the sun and sun burns.
Quirks:
- Calls her moms Momma M and Momma T.
- In terms of her style and the majority of her interests she's like a little Tatum through and through. She hangs out almost entirely with guys and is kind of awkward in the romance department. She likely gets teased about being gay but she's entirely straight. Just a huge tomboy.
- She's tiny and you wouldn't expect it of her but when it comes to arm-wrestling she's kind of amazing.
- She ALWAYS donates to animal charities.
- Has always loved going to gay pride with her moms, which probably just adds to the teasing.
- Although she loves a bunch of outdoor sports, like skateboarding, surfing, wake-boarding, Quidditch etc., she burns extremely easy and has to practically coat herself in sunscreen any time its even the slightest bit sunny. She loves Surfing with Ryan and Benji but usually will only tag along if its an overcast day, otherwise she'll probably burn no matter how much she reapplies sunscreen.
- She thinks Claire is absolutely hilarious even if no one else sees it.
- When she was little she'd watch The Little Mermaid repeatedly over and over again, sometimes multiple times a day, probably to the point that the rest of the house was completely sick of it. She still considers it her favorite movie of all time and even has an Ariel tattoo on her forearm.
- Although she loves a ton of old punk and rock, Jess will listen to just about every type of music(..even secretly country music) and loves to mix up a bunch of different genres and styles when she's writing music. She's has a ton of influences all across the board from Metallica, to Lady Gaga and Fleetwood Mac.
- She's the proud owner of Tatum's old acoustic, who she still calls Bolan after Marc Bolan. Jess is a huge Bowie fan herself (especially for his stage presence) and always thought the name was hilarious.
Secrets:
- Thinks she might have a crush on Felix but isn't sure what to do about it. She's known the boy since they was in diapers.
- Misses her moms a lot more than she likes to admit when she's at school. She's always been extremely close with both of them.
- She actually found it really hard to look at Mack after she lost her eye. Even when she was wearing a patch it made her feel squeamish and a bit sick to her stomach but she felt too bad for feeling that way to ever tell anyone. Even at eight she tried to act as tough as ever through it all but actually used to cry a lot more than she lead on after Mack and Hunter got hurt.
- Doesn't envy Ryan in the least for being the oldest. She looks out for her sisters especially Kia and Claire but doesn't really mind just coasting in the middle. Being the oldest has a lot more pressure she thinks.
- Like Ryan, Jess doesn't really approve too much of Kia and Benji's relationship but tries to stay out of all her sisters business', unless she really thinks they're in trouble. Benji might be older and kind of an idiot in Jess's opinion but she really doesn't think she has too too much to worry about. That said she's definitely had at least a few words with Benji about respect and treating her baby sister right.
- She kind of hates being all the guys best friend sometimes, and worries abit that no one will ever see her as anything more than that.
Amortentia smells like: Leather, chocolate and honeysuckle.
Strengths: Transfiguration, flying, pretty tough for being so petite, arm-wrestling, video games, typing, seeking, especially dive maneuvers, fast, athletic, musically-inclined, a good friend.
Weaknesses: Overthinks sometimes, a bit anxious, classes with a lot of reading, dating and getting stuck in the friend zone, only takes a few things seriously, overly critical of herself, kind of awkward, sun-+burns easily.
Detailed personality:
Jess always has been and probably always will be a total tomboy. She loves video-games, Jammin' with the boys, and has always been pretty big into sports. She skateboards, surfs, wake-boards, and plays Quidditch, and in muggle primary she played both softball (first T-ball) and soccer. She's plays seeker and very much owes her love of Quidditch to Mack who had her on a broom practically since the time she could walk.
Quidditch, Transfiguration and Music are about the only things Jess really takes seriously and are probably all a lot of people think she can do. Generally speaking she is pretty chill and laid back, and is extremely humble. She tries enough in her other classes enough to get by with passing grades but certainly doesn't try to her full potential. If it's a class she doesn't like she's always looking for the easy way out and will usually resort to asking Claire for help, or for pointers and little shortcuts. If Jess puts forward her best effort she really is almost unstoppable but just tends not to if its something she really cares about.
She also tends to hold back a bit because she doesn't really care too much for attention. For someone as talented as she is she really isn't the most confident person in the world. Even at Quidditch where being an amazing seeker almost comes completely naturally, she's extremely hard on herself and her performance. Like in sports and life, in her family Jess also likes to fly a bit under the radar. She prefers being in the middle, in age and other ways. She doesn't mind not being as great as Ryan or Claire but unlike Kia she tries her best to keep out of too much trouble.
Around people she's comfortable with like friends and family Jess is pretty outgoing and loud. She loves joking around, acting like a goof and sometimes getting into a bit of hijinks and trouble but to people who don't know her all that well she probably appears a lot more quiet and even a bit reserved. She's kind of awkward around new people and doesn't make new friends the easiest, especially girls, but she doesn't really mind though. She finds most of them kind of irritating anyway and loves the friends she has, especially her bros for life, Felix and Cam.
She keeps mainly to her small group of friends, who are mostly a bunch of music junkies much like herself, She plays guitar in the school band and in her own band, with a couple of the guys. She sticks mainly to acoustic but can handle an electric or bass no problem. Although she gets along with most of her quidditch team mates on the field, off the field she tends to not spend much time with many of them, she loves the sport, but really jocky-types just aren't her thing. She's generally not a very confrontational person if she can help it, and hates to butt into other peoples business but she also hates to see people get picked on. If it someone she knows doing to bullying or someone she's not scared of, she'll usually try to say something.
