SMASHING news, everyone!

Over the past year I have been helping my good friend Griphook the Curious Son of Griptuck the Stoic First of His Name, put together a retelling from his father's point of view of the goblin rebellions of 1925 (a rather vicious, exciting year for the goblins, it's a a real tragedy that that their goals didn't come to fruition) and now we have just received word that our book is going to be published!

ME! A PUBLISHED AUTHOR! Isn't that the craziest thing you've ever heard?

We don't have a release date yet, but I'll be sure to keep you all posted! The Valiant Goblin, coming to a bookstore near you!

Since my lovely, amazing, glowing pregnant wife and I can't make it to New York for the World Cup as we will be preparing for the arrival of our second beautiful baby (boy or girl, bets are on!), I have set up a whole room of international wirelesses that'll keep us up to date with all the matches.

Plus I've prepared pennants, face paint, and stadium-esque treats to enjoy them with.

I had the most AMAZING adventure today! My department offers opportunities to learn different languages because it makes dealing with the magical beings much easier than bringing along a translator---it builds trust! I'm already fluent in Gobblydegook, and while I'm sort of iffy on Giant Tongue, my Mermish is impeccable! So, I was asked to join an expedition to discuss some recent mermaid attacks on muggles! It was really quite fascinating, my bubble head charm worked brilliantly and I only stumbled once with my mermish!

BUT THAT WASN'T THE BEST PART

QUITE SUDDENLY, the mermaids scattered, and my project leader Gaston made some frantic gestures pointing behind me, and when I twisted around THERE WAS A SHARK! A SHARK! Swimming, went shooting right over my head like no body's business!

A bloody shark!

It was fantastic! It could have eaten me alive, it was so big!

Okay, so I have bought the tiniest jersey of every quidditch team in the league so that when our baby gets here, he or she can pick what team they want to root for!

I'm pretty sure I'm turning out to be the best husband ever. I've gone almost two months and I have not needed a 'guys night out' or have ignored doing some house work because 'the game is on.'
