Character Name: Helena Marie Kyle. Yelena Marie Dubrovna, former alias. Patience Phillips, current alias.
Character LJ (if applicable): [info]got_your_tongue
Physical description (face, build, weight): 5'7", 127 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes
Age: 25
Birthday: March 21st
Codename (if using one): Catwoman
PB: Katie Cassidy
Abilities:

Hand-to-Hand Combat/Self Defense Training: Helena has been trained by her mother to defend herself since she was thirteen, and she is an advanced fighter/brawler. She tends to rely on speed and agility when fighting, over brute strength. She has also had training from her mother in both karate and Dragon-style kung fu since she was sixteen, and is at an intermediate level.

Stealth: Helena is highly proficient in stealth, able to sneak in a room without being noticed, and get into places where she shouldn't be able to with little difficulty.

Thievery: Trained by one of the best, Helena is a skilled thief. While she doesn't really pull large bank heists or anything, Helena steals from the mob in Gotham City, and gives back to people in Gotham's West End that have been duped by the mob. Though she does keep some of the really shiny things for herself.

Acrobatics: A highly trained ballerina and gymnast, and natural athlete, Helena is very flexible, making her able to perform acrobatic tricks with ease.

Catwoman Costume: The skintight costume features retractable razor-sharp claws in her gloves and spring-action climbing pitons in her boots. Catwoman's costume is designed to give her maximum flexibility and movement while providing her some anonymity, and stealth. Her mask covers her features, keeping her from instant recognition in her civilian identity. The material is a thick insulating cloth, protecting her from cold and wet, while being fire retardant.

Claws: Catwoman's gloves and boots contain special retractable claws which are formed of a strong steel which extend from and retract into her gloved fingertips and boots when she triggers pressure switches. They can shred a bullet-proof vest, punch through an aluminum frame car door, or dig into porous surfaces to climb.

Whip: Catwoman is highly proficient in the use of the bullwhip. She employs a 12 foot long, black leather braided bullwhip which is normally carried on her person either in her boot or in a small backpack.

Helena also has a natural affinity for cats and they seem to be drawn to her.
Weaknesses and flaws: Helena is a normal human woman, with normal human weakness.

Helena also has a different set of morals from those that pick up the cape and cowl. While she'll beat the ever-loving crap out of a mugger, the crime lord that murdered her mother deserves nothing worse than death...and she'd kill him herself if she got the chance. Helena is not above killing those that "really, really deserve it". A mugger, not so much, but someone as bad as the Joker deserves a bullet through the head.

Helena has no problems stealing from "those that deserve it", and doesn't see it as wrong. She follows her own set of rules, and her own terms.
Character location/Home: Gotham City
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Shades of grey.
Team: None.
Relatives (living/dead?): Sam Bradley (father, deceased), Selina Kyle (mother, deceased), Maggie Kyle (aunt, unknown), Holly Robinson (godmother, living), Thomas Kyle (other dimensional half-brother).

Backstory: The result of a romance with Sam Bradley, a member of the Gotham City Police Deparment, who died in a confrontation with a criminal, Selina Kyle, the reformed villain turned hero Catwoman, gave birth to their daughter, Helena, and retired from the costumed scene, passing on the mantle of Catwoman to Holly Robinson. Selina raised her daughter as a single mother, though their happiness was short lived, as the B-list villains Film Freak and Angle Man figured out the identity of Catwoman, and kidnapped the baby Helena. After successfully saving her daughter, and not wanting to put her in any further danger, Selina enlisted the help of Zatanna to mind-wipe Film Freak and Angle Man. Selina then enlisted Bruce Wayne's help to get them both safely out of Gotham. Bruce helped Selina fake the deaths of both her and Helena, and Selina took all of her money and Helena to Paris, where they lived under the assumed aliases of Irena and Yelena Dubrovna.

In Paris, Selina mostly retired from being Catwoman, though she did the occasional job for money for her and Helena, or to help those in their area, as they lived in a reletively poor area of Paris. Helena had a fairly normal childhood, oblivious to her mother's past in Gotham City. The only tie Selina had to her past life was Holly Robinson, who would visit from time to time, and whom Helena simply knew as "Auntie Holly". When Helena was thirteen, Selina began training her how to defend herself, citing it as a "useful skill to have".

When Helena was sixteen, she caught her mother coming in from a job as Catwoman, and demanded an explantion. Selina, realizing that she could no longer hide the truth from her daughter, told Helena everything, about her past as Catwoman, and how about they'd been living in hiding Helena's entire life. At first, Helena was shocked and appalled that her mother could hide something so big from her entire life. But after much consideration, she realized that Selina did what she did to protect them. Helena then asked her mother to teach her everything that she knew. Selina, while reluctant at first, eventually agreed. Selina began to train her daughter, and Helena began to plan to someday take over her mother's mantle. Privately, Selina started calling her Helena again, and Helena saw Yelena Dubrovna as a mask. Helena Kyle was who she really was.

When she turned eighteen, Helena went to Oxford University for college, still under the alias of Yelena Dubrovna. As a present to her daughter, Selina gave her the Catwoman costume and whip, knowing that she'd use it when the time came. That time came halfway into Helena's freshman year

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Coming Gotham to find her mother's killer.
What are you planning to do with this character?: Find her mother's killer, work as protecting Gotham's West End as Catwoman.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: While Helena is not Bat-Family, and will probably never be Bat-Family, I want to see her run into them and see how she reacts with them. Especially with Thomas. Helena does things on her own terms, her own rules, and that will be fun to play out.
