Murder at Salem Academy
News broke early this morning of a gruesome murder at Salem Academy.
Nix Rathsas, age 19, was found slain in his dorm room on campus. Little is known about Rathsas but that he was a student attending the academy to study abjuration for little more than a year. He was orphaned after the murder of his parents shortly before enrolling at Salem.
At present the Leos have no leads, but Commissioner Burton Peeps has guaranteed that his best detectives are on the job. "When the safety of our children is at risk we take every precaution possible and follow every lead. We have Leos posted outside of every dorm on campus and can ensure that your children will be protected.
"We believe this to be an isolated incident and want to stress that there is no cause for alarm," Peeps continued on to say.
Marta Crane was the only member of the board of directors available for comment this morning. "This is a horrible, senseless tragedy. We will continue to provide support and counseling for the grieving students on campus. Salem Academy is committed to the safety of our students and we will be looking into how such a horrible thing could have happened. We suggest that parents remove their children from the dorms for the week while the Leos investigate the matter. School will be canceled this week and will open again when we have a definitive answer as to the nature of the incident."
