The recent meltdown of Master Kanaan DeVries has tongues wagging over at Salem Academy.
Master DeVries was seen prancing about school grounds in his undergarments, covered in brightly colored paint and bits of string. Most students were clever enough to avoid a confrontation, however one Miyako Miyazaki attempted to contain the situation. Master Kanaan cast an unknown spell on the boy whom promptly disappeared. His whereabouts are yet to be discovered. It wasn't until the Headmaster of the Upper School arrived that Master DeVries was properly subdued.
News of the scene was repeated from gossip to gossip until it reached the board of trustees for Salem Academy when Master DeVries was "politely requested" to resign from his position. The board has yet to name an interim Vice Principle to the Lesser School, though with all the recent changes at Salem Academy perhaps it is too much to ask for a speedy replacement.
Ms. Sasha Pertiogarv has resigned from her position as the cafeteria mistress, though it was not clear ifthis was in any way related to Master DeVries' breakdown.
Master DeVries is reportedly resting in the countryside.
