She has it set in curls, like any good (Muggle) girl, though heir hair is shorter than average, much like she had it as a child. Her Muggle 'do makes her stand out next to the long locked Purebloods in the school.
EYES A warm brown, identical to her father.
WAND 9 inches, willow and unicorn hair. Whippy.

H I S T O R Y
Wilhelmina was born to William and Cate Grubbly, an police officer and (as most women were at the time) a doting housewife. The sweet little family lived in Islington, London with no real inkling of magic (the broken dishes that occured when Wilhelmina was upset did not break themselves, young lady!).

They were all quite shocked when, in her eleventh summer, a very large, man came to inform Wilhelmina and her family that she was a witch! and wasn't that lovely, you know, there aren't too many like her, muggleborns. It was all quite befuddling and hard to swallow, but when Professor Mortemer left, they were quite convinced that Wilhelmina was a witch. With a chaperoned visit to Diagone Alley, Willie’s journey into the wizarding world was sealed. She a fantastic train ride and trip across the lake lead to a rather quick sorting, the Hat only mulling briefly over Gryffindor before choosing Hufflepuff. In school she took quickly to Herbology and Charms, and though she struggled in Transfiguration and Potions, she soon learned that practice makes perfect an applied that to her her studies, 100%. As soon as she was able, she picked up Care of Magical Creatures, and never looked back, falling deeply in love with each and every creature. She, like most girls, had fancied animals in her youth, but there weren't many to be seen in the city.

It seems Wilhemina’s life was surrounded by war. The wizarding world had Grindelwald, and her muggle family had Hitler. In 1940, when Germany began bombing London, the Grubblys up and moved, making it all the way up north to the village of Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, County Duram. Wilhelmina's lack of city life bored her greatly in summer holidays, but she understood why her family made the move. At least there was a small farm near by her new home, and the owners were quite alright with Wilhelmina looking around.

Wilhelmina's coming of age at 17 has been a boon for the Grubblys. Gamp's laws state that you can't creat food out of nothing, but you can multiply what you already have, and in a time of rations, this gift was priceless. With a few waves of her wand, Wilhelmina's able to do all the washing up for her mother, and has made up for years of childish groaning over chores.

R E L A T I O N S H I P S
FATHER William Grubbly
MOTHER Cate Grubbly nee Jones
SIBLINGS None
ETC
ROMANCE Still a virgin, but Wilhelmina is quite forward thinking, and a very modern woman. She certainly doesn’t kiss and tell (outside of her close friends), but she will kiss, and possibly more. A girl should have every bit as much fun as a boy!

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Wilhelmina is rather forward thinking woman, with dreams of her own and a belief in her gender. She's seen the women in her muggle life become much more capable, and that pleases her. Perhaps it is because she had a talent so forgin and spectial to muggles, she thinks of herself as a very special person, someone meant for bigger things than housewifery. In a world telling her to do XYZ and not ABC, Wilhelmina is a bit bold. She's an early feminist, both socially and sexually- There's nothing wrong with a snog, and it's not boys who should have all the fun. In fact, without the girls, the boys wouldn't be having fun at all!
.

She has her girly side, and she loves to show that off, but she's also got a more masculine nature, as well. She wears trousers when necessary- It is hard to help with horses in a skirt with perfectly curled hair, and there's no room for being upset about dirt and grime in Herbology or CoMC- It's going to happen, so learn to enjoy it. She's a Hufflepuff, and she's not adverse to hard, dirty work- It is often the most satisfying kind. She occasionally curses, and is very confident in the city, with no problems getting around, as she believes in doing things for herself. While gentlemanly gestures are accepted at the right time, she doesn't need anyone to order her food for her in a restaurant, or carry her things.

She walks along the fine line of being a lady and being a tomboy, and marches along her own path just as hard as she can. Dressing up and frills have their time and their place, and can be great fun, but it isn't everything in life, and Wilhelmina knows, accepts, and will certainly be willing to tell anyone of her opinion on that. She never takes no for an answer, not when they answer is 'no' because of her gender. She's also a blend of city and country, as she loves the excitement of London and the nature of the country at the same time. If she could have anything, it would be to spend her time split between the London nightlife and the simple country day- That, in her mind, would be perfect, a balance of glamour and nature, which is just up her alley.

She's vehemently against bloodisim, and while she's not putting posters up on the wall, and knows not to constantly throw up a fuss, she does have times where she becomes quite tired of bloodist remarks, and she will stand up for herself, and others. She's not into bullying or being mean for any reason, she simply doesn't stand for it- Equality is for everyone, and no one is better or worse than anyone else because of status or gender, or even race.

Z O D I A C
Taurus: ' Taurus, the nature-loving bull, is a natural sign for Hufflepuffs to be born under. These wizards tend to specialize in herbs and nature spells, also in the husbandry and preservation of magical beasts. Their gentle good natures, open friendliness, hard work, patience, and politeness endear them to most everyone they meet. However, these Hufflepuff Taureans must be careful not to overwork themselves, lest they suffer breakdowns in health. (It has been noticed that Hufflepuffs born under the sign of Taurus swing wildly between overwork and indolence, the lazy periods being used to recharge their energy; they seem to have a problem pacing themselves.) They like their magical workrooms neat and tidy, and prefer peaceful occupations to dangerous or aggressive ones; most Hufflepuffs born under this sign wind up working as hedge witches, village herbalists, and midwives. ' thank you!
O O C
MUN Maddie @ a_chr0i
PORTRAYED-BY Keira Knightley
DISCLAIMER Icons by a_chr0i. Profile layout stolen from Sara, but she stole it from Cassie. I wanted shit to match. Wilhemina Grubbly (Plank) is clearly made by me. The fact that she’s in the Harry Potter Books is merely a testament to how amazing I am.
