Halloween is supposedly the scariest time of the year, well, for little kids and wussies, but for Isabelle Hastings, it was the time she had been born and one of her favourite times of the year.  Izzy, as her friends and family called her, loved to be scared, either by watching horror movies on television - it was usually her brothers who would be hiding their eyes when a scary/gory part came on the screen and Izzy would be laughing, munching away on her popcorn with eyes intent on watching every moment of the screen - or by investigating old houses and buildings in town by herself or with a few friends. Either way, Izzy looked forward to October, anticipating the end of the month which would bring her birthday and Halloween. Of course Izzy would have her costume planned out a full year before, but being a typical girl, would have changed her mind a few dozen times and ending up in something pretty, and when she got older, sexy.

By age sixteen, Izzy's costumes kept getting sexier and sexier. She was damn proud of her body, the curves in all the right places and the fact that she'd grown breasts was a reason for celebration in Izzy's mind. But her brothers, now realising their little sister was actually a girl and not that much fun to be around anymore, started hanging out with their own friends, eventually getting girlfriends. Izzy would always have the memories of the past Halloweens with Drake and Steven, and the photo album their mother made each October.  Izzy kept the tradition of the album, but took advantage of the internet by posting the pictures online on her personal blog to share with people - and just so she'd have it nearby with no chances of losing it. Plus, there just might be some pictures on it, she wouldn't want any family members finding. She could practically hear her old fashioned grandmother cussing Izzy out in Italian.

With just friends and come and go boyfriends to celebrate Halloween with, Izzy allowed herself to go all out with costumes. Some showing off everything she could without the risk of getting arrested and some covering almost her whole body, but the material being so sheer, nothing was kept hidden. Izzy had discovered the joys of her body and loved showing them off to men around her, nobody could really resist her, as cocky as that sounds.  Izzy was hot. Plain and simple.

As Izzy got older, she dubbed her hometown boring and started going to NYC for parties thrown by old friends and ex boyfriends who she'd remained in good terms with. Who knew that Halloween in a big city could be so much fun? Plus nobody there knew Izzy - besides the friends and exes - so she could wear her sluttiest costumes and flirt with whomever she pleased with no regrets the next day, no matter who's bed she ended up in. As luck would have it, Izzy woke up next to an amateur photographer one morning, who insisted the girl pose for him. Being drunk and naive, Izzy agreed then returned to her hometown the next day, forgetting all about her drunken escapades until the photos of her showed up in the rag magazines the supermarket stocked near the check-out lane. The photos* weren't bad, bad, but her parents - especially Ron - would hit the roof. It wasn't a secret that the pornstar turned father figure, was extremely protective over his children - his daughter especially - and he'd rather not see his children turn out the way he had, by degrading themselves for the sake of fame and fortune. Though Izzy hadn't really agreed to pose for the pictures for fortune, nor did she know at the time that  the guy - Izzy couldn't remember his whole name, but his first had been Ryan, she thinks? - was someone who had big big connections and Izzy would be seeing herself on magazine covers. Inside, Izzy was thrilled, but she played the part of poor little girl to her father, squeezing out a few tears for his benefit and saying she'd never do something like that again, drunk or not.

The next weekend was the same thing, but this time Izzy had a mission. She was in search of Ryan - maybe his name had been Brian? - and his camera. Izzy wanted more photos taken of her, nice ones this time, ones that ALL people could appreciate, not just sex crazed men and teens with a dire need of something to masturbate to. Sadly Izzy never found Ryan/Brian, but found a fan, sort of. She went to her usual bar in NYC to hang out with some friends and drink, when she was approached by a random stranger who had seen the girl's pictures, recognized her and came running over for an autograph, tongue practically hanging out.  That was just the start of Izzy's road to fame.

With the recognition from the photos, Izzy decided to milk it. Making herself known in the bars and allowing the fans to tend her every beck and call, fetching the girl drinks and food and even getting one to carry Izzy to the bathroom when nature called.

With the photos being accessible to every human being on the planet, it was no surprise when Izzy was approached again, this time by a director who saw Izzy and thought her to be perfect for a role in an upcoming movie called Thir13en Ghosts. Being the horror fan that she was, Izzy agreed and came to the set the next day to read through the lines of Dana Newman a.k.a. `The Angry Princess`.

Her first taste of stardom was sweet and Izzy was immediately addicted to being in front of the camera. With the movie coming to wraps, Izzy went back to being a normal human being for the time, but this time moving into NYC to be closer to the friends she knew and just because this was the place she'd been `discovered` at, and if it happened once, it could happen again.

In 2005, Izzy had landed another role, this time as the HIV + stripper Mimi Marquez in the movie rendition of the rock musical Rent. This one was going to take some work. Isabelle had never sung before nor let anyone hear her sing and she was a bit nervous about singing in front of someone she'd never met. But as the movie progressed and Izzy got more comfortable with the singing and her co-stars, she felt herself falling in love again. Singing and dancing in a movie was a thrill, more the stripper type dancing Izzy got to do, grinding against the pole and the other `strippers`.  Though Isabelle had never seen Rent nor even heard about it before, she found herself enthralled with the storyline, even crying during the scene of Angel's funeral when it was time for Isabelle's character to make the speech in front of the casket. That scene alone took about fiteen takes as Izzy kept bursting into tears before words could come out of her mouth.

Rent turned into being called in for the role of Amanda Young in Saw, which would later come out with a sequel, then a third, then a fourth, each time Izzy getting to reprise the role of Jigsaw's assistant. Though Izzy preferred Thir13en Ghosts over the Saw movies - the former wasn't as gory - Izzy still retained a fan of horror movies, just not those ones.

It wasn't until Izzy got offered a role in an actual television show that she could actually consider herself an actress. Sure she'd done some movies, but those wouldn't be seen by everyone. With a television series, Izzy could ensure that everyone would watch the show, even if some people were just flipping through the channels until the football games were back on. So Izzy signed up to become Dr. Allison Cameron on House MD, a role she couldn't be happier with. It had a consistent time for taping the episodes so Izzy could still go out and party whenever she wanted to, just had to remember to not get so plowed the night before a taping and look like ass on the camera and feel the wrath of the director and her co-stars.

Isabelle felt like a true actress now. A regular television show plus movies under her belt. Not bad for only being 25 years old and a Midwestern girl. But one thing was missing. Singing. Not only had she enjoyed it while taping Rent, but Izzy had started frequenting karaoke bars in hopes of singing in front of complete strangers who would give Isabelle their honest opinions. And so far, she'd gotten positive feedback, so why not try to drop an album while her life was on a roll? It would give her something to do when not rehearsing for House or when she's not busy getting shitfaced at a bar.
