Caitlin Montenegro.
NICKNAME: For most of her life she went by Cait however since rising to the position of Goddess she has taken on the name Hel.
DOB: 5th September.
AGE: 27.
HOMETOWN: New York City, New York.
LOCATION: Her Cathedral, Toronto, Canada.
MARITAL STATUS: Single.
SEXUALITY: Bisexual.
FORMER OCCUPATION: CEO of Montenegro Corp.

POSSESSIONS

❝IC QUESTIONNAIRE❞

Hi there, how are you?
Green eyes lift, as if not expecting the question though there is no hint of surprise, not hint of emotion about her. Fine.

What's your name?
Eyes drop a fraction, a moment, enough to be something of a hesitation, as if she is thinking of another time. And she is, of a time when her name was not of a God of yesteryear. But that her is gone, she is not Cait any more, there is no family name to bind her. Hel.

How old are you?
A stupid question, irritation sparks in her eyes. Age doesn't matter, it has no meaning for her any more. She has to be immortal starting from now, she has to be more than years, months, weeks even seconds. Her legacy has to last the ages. I'm 27.

Where are you from?
Eyes lower, mind cast back to a time when it wasn't snow and ice and death, when the world she saw was a glittering place of sky scrapers. A flicker of a smile teases the corner of her lip, a second, almost so fast you would wonder whether you saw it at all. New York City.

What was your childhood like?
Gaze is blade and sharpness, lifted to peer through her eyelashes. She's silent for a long time, just watching, weighing heavily until there is a satisfactory amount of squirm. It was perfect.

What's your best memory?
A heavy, long breath is drawn, head tipping back a fraction before she thinks better of it, mind turning back to the years before. The best? how could she pick a single moment from all of it? how could she say this one now that every single moment is precious? My 24th birthday. It is the last time my family were all together before.. everything.

And the worst?
Darkness touches her green eyes, mind being cast back into memories which are still too close, too fresh in her mind. My sister's death.

Can you remember where you were when the war started?

How did you survive?
Smile is grim, a tight line as she nods sharply. At work. I didn't believe it at first but... it didn't take too long to sink in.

Do you have any powers?
Every inch of her hardens, something dangerous about her, eyes lifting slowly to sum up the interviewer. Would you like to find out?

 If so what are they?
Fingers flex in front of her, a lazy, graceful motions and darkness slithers from behind her, a shadow, something imposing. It's like a guardian over her shoulder, a presence in its own right, the air cools around her as tendrils of smokey shadow curl around her wrist and hand. Smile is amused for the first time in the interview, amused but still cold.

What do you think of those who have named themselves Gods?
Amusement is still there, a mocking touch as she rises, the smoke curling around her like a pet. What do you think? Someone has to take charge, it may as well be someone who is capable of doing so. Myself, of course.

❝HISTORY❞

Family members:

● The Montenegros are New York Old Money, the kind from the days gone by. Mixed up in business and politics they're the sort you see in films portrayed as cold, callous and back stabbing. Nothing could be further from the truth for Robert and Selina Montenegro. It was love, passionate love and it showed in everything they did together. Yes, they were both ambitious - Robert as the CEO of Montengro Corp with his fingers in every kind of pie going and Selina editor of Vogue - but that ambition and determination to succeed was well tempered by their love for one another and their desire for their marriage to succeed and not to become like the rich cliche of films.
● Selina found out she was pregnant four years after their lavish marriage and while they had certainly planned on having children it had always been down the line. The surprise however was quickly welcomed, the two exceedingly happy over the news that they would be parents. It was at their first scan that the doctor let them hear not one but two heartbeats. Selina was expecting twins.
● Pregnancy suited Selina who decided to step out of the editting position at Vogue in order to concentrate on her unborn daughters, her husband and herself.
● On the 5th of September Selina went into labour in the middle of Tiffany's. A story which was often told, a little gem as it were. The labour itself was easy enough, long and painful but there were no serious complications or issues.
● At 11:31, five minutes after her sister Chloe, Caitlin was born.
● From the moment she began those first wails she was louder than her sister despite being the smaller of the two, something which did not change in the years after.
● Where Chloe was light, something inherently soft about her Caitlin was louder, demanding, she was a passionate intensity against Chloe's dream like quality. Something which became ever more obvious as they grew up. While close there was always that difference between them.
● The twins childhood was, as likely expected, luxurious. They had the best of the best whether it be in toys, clothes, schools, holidays, friends. There was nothing they were denied though both Selina and Robert did their best to make sure that their children were not entirely spoilt brats, that they knew hard work would be what made them successful in the future.
● This was a lesson which Caitlin took to heart, she was a hard-working child, plans for everything. She liked having things ordered and neat where Chloe was... chaotic, messy in her own way, a free spirit. It didn't stop them being close, however.
● Caitlin's plan was always to become the next CEO of Montenegro CORP, a job which she didn't simply want handed to her. From a very early age Caitlin was one to always push herself, to want more and more. Throughout high school she made sure her grades were perfect, that she did the extra curricular activities which looked good on her record.
● As expected Caitlin was able to get into her first choice of universities: Harvard. For Caitlin there was no other choice and if she hadn't got into Harvard then... well, it's a good job she did. She didn't like deviations from the plans she made, success was the only thing which Caitlin would accept.
● For a few years everything was going to plan, she got her grades, she made the right connections, she enjoyed university and even allowed herself time to date ever so often. This perfection wasn't to last though and in 2020 a war broke out, one which Caitlin would never be able to plot or plan for.
● Having the money and resources the Montenegro family had was one of the few good things which was going for the family. It meant that they had the money to secure some safety, having a air raid shelter of sorts built in order to keep them safer than most would be.
● Those months were hellish as expected, they pretty much lived within the shelter which Robert built. It was a stressful time, hard on them all as they were forced to live in close quarters in a time of fear, worry and distress.
● Ever so often during the war they would re-surface, during the quieter times when the bombs and violence was directed elsewhere. It was during of these times when Robert and Selina were killed while both Caitlin and Chloe were merely injured. Left distraught and shaken they did the only thing they thought they could: retreated once more to the shelter. Neither of the girls could see an end to the war and while Caitlin hated inaction, hated to just sit there and let it all happen there was nothing she could do, nothing she could do to help and so they had to wait and survive.
● What neither girl knew was that the radiation which the nuclear bombs being used was still able to reach them in the tight confines of their shelter, that even as they sat there, as they survived they were changing.
● Perhaps if they had known, perhaps if Caitlin had realised the powers she was gaining she would have been able to control them earlier and perhaps the thing which changed her the most, the thing which made her what she was today would have never happened.
● The day her sister died - the day she killed her sister - is one which stays with her to this day, one which will always stay with her. It was much like any other day, the same routines of meals and books and TV shows which were long gone, pretending things were ok when in truth they both knew it was simply a matter of time.
● It was 11:24 when the bombs started to shake their shelter, over and over, each one getting louder and louder, above them. It didn't matter that they had been through this or months and months the fear was still the same, they still reached for one another, still clung and whispered and prayed to a God that they had only just began to hope was real.
● Beneath the panic of how close the bombs were something began to happen, something which she didn't understand, it was like energy building within her, heating her, coursing through her veins. What she knows now as the darkness had come into being by her panic and terror which only increased as she began to feel this vibrating energy buzz through her. It hurt and the pain only seemed to get worse, increasing every second. The agony felt like it went on for years, building and building until finally she couldn't take it any more and the energy was forced outward, a sweeping darkness which exploded from her body.
● Caitlin dropped, the scream which had been on her lips dying as unconciousness took over and for a long time she had no idea of what she had done, just the blissful ignorance of unconciousness. How long passed Caitlin doesn't know but when she woke she found the shelter ruined and everything silent. The roof had been brought down and it was only luck that she hadn't been caught in it. Luck? or was it something she could thank that dakrness for? she didn't know, everything hurt, felt raw and bleeding but the pain fell away as she saw her sister. Dead. Cold to the touch, her blood a drying pool around her.
● Something within Caitlin broke then because she knew - even as she didn't know how - that she had done this, she had caused this horror and she was the reason that Chloe was dead. Hours was spent by her sister's side, clutching her hand and alternating between sobbing and numbness, her emotions all over the place.
● The worst part really was that she had finally dragged herself out of the rubble, away from her sister, she realised something: at some point the bombs had stopped and they never re-started. It was over and her sister was dead. She was alone.
● The world was a ruin and the only thing to do was run, to get out, to move to the cities which were being deemed 'safe' so she did, leaving New York to retreat into Canada.
● Thankfully her parents had been smart and their fortune was easily accessible in the end, something which Caitlin was thankful for in the end. Weeks were lost in a state of numbness, mourning the loss of her sister as she tried to figure out what to do next. Who was she now?
● She wasn't the first to take on the name of a God, something which caught her attention easily. Powerful people who wanted to make the world a better place? Like the old powerful people? it wasn't something Caitlin trusted, she didn't like the thought of someone else running the world again just so they could get back here with the hell on earth. So she decided that she would take up on the mantel, she would rise among them too.
● Her name was chosen due to the dark power she was able to wield, this other which seemed as if from Hell itself.
● Amassing her followers and building her cathedral was slow going but thankfully she had money, had time, was willing to do everything properly, to make sure it was right. She didn't want a new order to be created flawed after all. The foundations had to be solid, had to be unmoveable for them to be able to grow, to return to their soaring heights.

❝FACTS❞

●
●

❝RELATIONSHIPS❞
