Abilities: Rose is the holder of a Blue Lantern Ring, with all of its powers and abilities.
Weaknesses and flaws: Like all Blue Lantern Rings, Rose needs to be in proximity of a Green Lantern and a Green Lantern Ring in order to access her ring's full capabilities. Rose is also a baseline human, and is prone to injury and sickness just as easily as the next person. She is a pacifist, and dislikes conflict, preferring to try and find more non-violent situations (this doesn't always work with Dex, though).
Character location/Home: Metropolis, mobile.
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Doesn't really consider herself a superhero, but she's on the side of good.
Team: None. She'll help Dex out whenever he needs her, but she's strictly on a no-team basis.

Backstory: Rose grew up in the Suicide Slums of Metropolis, with her parents and younger brother. The neighborhood was definitely not the best, and money was always tight, but the family was happy, as they had each other through thick and thin. Rose's parents did everything that they could to make sure that their children were as well provided for as they could. While Rose and her brother, Jimmy wouldn't always have the best clothes or the latest gadgets, they were happy because they had their family. And that was all that mattered.
Rose had a happy childhood with her parents, brother, and grandmother. The family were devout Catholics and attended church every Sunday morning, where Rose was an active member, involved in both the youth choir and CYO. While Rose was aware that her family didn't have much money, she was happy and had a good childhood growing up.
But that still didn't erase that Rose was living in the worst neighborhood in Metropolis. And gang violence was at the highest it had been in several years when Rose was sixteen. Because her family refused to help them, they burnt the Ellington's apartment building to the ground in retalition. Rose's parents died in the fire, helping Rose and Jimmy to get out of the building. Rose and Jimmy only got out alive because of their parents, and that they were saved by the Green Lantern Kyle Rayner and a visiting Blue Lantern, who happened to be in the area at the time of the fire. The Blue Lantern was on Earth to recruit the newest member of the Blue Lantern Corps. Seeing the hope that Rose still had, even though she had lost everything, she was offered the ring, and she accepted.
Rose spent a year on Oydm training, learning how to use her ring. While she was there, the Blue Lantern Corps became like a second family to her, and she learned much under their tutleage. Recently, she is returning to Earth, to spread hope, and to check on her younger brother, who she left in the care of their grandmother.
