Frances looked around the hallway before dragging the last laundry bag of ice from the kitchen to the nearest bathroom, limping along and leaving a small trail of puddles in her wake. The ice piled onto the previous trips' hauls and she decided that was enough before adding enough water to make contact. Debating if she could get off the gym tank or it'd be easier to just cut it off, she pulled off the clammy top and sweats with only a few hisses and curses. She lowered herself into the frigid bath, wincing at the shock as her skin vetoed this entirely. It hurt to breathe for a minute, chest debating if expanding into the cold-wet was really worth it and she sat submerged until she could reach out and start on the first bottle.

Frances poked around on her phone waiting for Martin to pop up from his meeting and go off for food, leaning up against the side of the office building he was currently in. If the lights flickered or the windows blew out, she'd know the meeting went.... sour and she needed to get in there. Hey, she could be a very believable bodyguard when the guy paid her in gold freaking doubloons. And by the way, she was now being followed by the Archival Squad for more. Looking up, she scowled at the picketers across the way and swarming the train station. Oh look at all the people's days you all are ruining, congrats. It's another Monday morning at little local coffee shop in the business district: which means packed, loud and caffeine-deprived. Baristas shout orders in cadence and toss non-steamed containers to each other. There are no pumps in the syrup, everything is eyeballed and regulars don't bother ordering as their drink is ready by the time they make it to the front. New customers are easy to spot by the first sip-moan of surprise. If the brunette behind the counter (next to the 'By your barista a shot!" sign) isn't flirting with the next customer, she's singing along to whatever is on the playlist as the drinks are assembled without pause or looking.

"ROX-anne!" she and the other girl slinging the bean belt out, foaming enough milk for something with a dark mix of waiting syrup. "Alright, soy latte, hazelnut and toffee, four shots." She winks at the lawyer with raccoon circles for eyes holding her hand out for the cup. "Extra shot for luck, and remember, no coffee until after 2 with this. Go get 'em, tiger."

The very bored and slightly overheated woman in the Happy Gilmore Mini-Golf booth held her hand out with the change, the sour expression on her face never changing. "Thank you very much and have a nice day." Frances took the change back before she tapped her fedora to the top of her head and swung her magenta pink golf club up and over her shoulder to rest. Grinning up (yes up, damn tall genes), she gave a flourished after-you gesture to the golf course before the two players. "Alright James Rogers, prepared to be owned on some mini-golf."

Car Trouble

Due to her parents and boot camp, Frances had an impressive repertoire of vulgarity at her disposal and every variation possible was drifting from the hazy, popped-up hood of her Mustang off the side of the road. This was the last time she was letting anyone borrow the Stang during their shore leave, she swore to herself while waiting for things to cool off enough to start poking around. Normally the Stang had no problem with 90mph, but this time, smoke/steam had started creeping out before she got to 80. <i>Let's hope I'm not to cars what Dad is to Skycycles, or this is gonna suck.</i>

2. What were some of the first words and phrases you spoke? 'No', I'm sure. Daddy and Ama, probably.

3. At what age did you first attend school? What school did you go to? Did you like it? Whenever you hit preschool. Really? Preschool, don't remember much,

4. Name one of your fondest childhood memories. Hawaii with my parents and no one attacked us.

5. Now name one of your worst. Mom dropping me after she got hit by an RPG. I fell and screamed until she came to and grabbed me.

6. Name one of your most embarrassing. Probably my dad's melt-down then apology after catching me with my first girlfriend, bra shopping the first time.

7. Which parent/adult were you closest to as a small child? Mom at the beginning, lots of tea parties and baking in between soccer games.

8. What about as a teenager? Dad, training with the bow did that ~~and learning I didn't get Mom's powers~~, though Mom was always around and more understanding about puberty. Dad sort of just plugged his ears and hummed a lot.

9. Did you ever try drinking, drugs, or both? What all have you tried? Were you ever caught? Who hasn't? Drinking of course, smoking smelled terrible and would mess up my stamina. Pot gives me serious munchies.

The point of the Avenger galas was to mingle and visit with the people they rescued from Certain Doom constantly, as well as raise a little extra money to fund being the Avengers. It was amazing that people were willing to pay to ogle at the heroes and have the bragging rights to meeting/touching them. For the Avengers themselves, it was a mixed bag. Sometimes you got the Creepy Fan, or the wheezing old general that reminisced too much, or the ever-so-irritating Armchair Avenger who'd nitpick that shot you took at Doc Ock's tentacle instead of the joint attaching it to his back...

France was stuck with the last one at the moment, smile slowly growing pointed the longer she listened. That compounded with the pretty-but-painful shoes she was wearing and coming from a long monitor shift, she was sorely tempted to do or say something very unAvenger-like that she knew she'd get a lecture for later. "That is a fascinating suggestion, but seeing as the physics in Wanted are hard to reproduce in the real world, I don't think I'll be bending my arrows any time soon. Excuse me, but I see a friend I need to chat with, maybe I'll find you later," she finally announced when she could get a word in and strolled away to the bar. She smiled a pained smile at the bar tender. "Porter, please. And possibly a whiskey chaser." When the dark beer was pulled and placed in front of her, Frances sighed with relief and picked it up. "Hello dear friend, fancy meeting you here."

Backstory:
Frances Drew was raised with both her parents and, as it was hard to keep the danger of their lives from home, knew at a young age all about the 'special pajamas' and their work. Every now and then, she became entangled in some villains' plot to get at one or the other, which might be where she got the taste for the lifestyle. (Although during an escape, her mother was hit by an RPG and dropped her midflight. From then on the little girl became uneasy about flying and hated the feeling of freefall. She later learned to get over it to be able to do HALO jumps for missions, but it still isn't her favorite hobby.) Worried their daughter would try to get into the family business, Jessica tried to divert her attention with music lessons and focus on her schoolwork, but her natural aptitude for archery (and getting in fights) soon proved her intent to follow in her parents' footsteps. Throughout primary school, she grew into a cocky and out-spoken child, for better or worse, and a bit of a tomboy by preferring outdoor activities and hands-on learning. She trained with her father with her archery, even making captain of the high school team, and once accepting she lost the fight, her mother helped with martial arts training.
An extroverted and confident young woman, Frances made it through college with a degree in international relations, a requirement Clint had demanded before she applied to SHIELD. Balancing study with play, Frances dated both men and women and partied with all types, slowly acquiring both needed worldliness as well as the beginning of networking that would help her collect information in the future. Upon graduation, she immediately applied for the agency, undergoing the training within and without SHIELD to qualify for active duty status and the title of Hawkeye. In SHIELD she developed a reputation for confronting claims of nepotism, and any allusions against either of her parents' pasts. Frances wasn't one to back down from a fight, even when it was clear the odds were against her, which did earn her respect amongst the doubters. Her skills with a rifle also allowed her to join many teams and make connections with other professionals in the military, with work as a sniper with the Rangers.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: She can be coming back from an Army/SHIELD co-op tour in the Middle East and have to suit up for a attack or threat on American soil, maybe a hostage situation where she needs to play sniper to support another's play or be the Loud Obnoxious Distraction.
What are you planning to do with this character? Take up the Hawkeye mantle in the Avengers, including heckling the boy scouts-types, questioning orders she doesn't like, kicking up trouble while jumping in to defend friends, flirt to trip people up, possibly take on the black-ops missions needing a snipe with a steady hand. She possible can be altered to express her mother's genes, then she has to learn how to function with them.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: Upgrade to meta to have to learn new skills, possibly see her also do some of Clint's Ronin-type of work on the side, run missions with the other Avengers as well as bond with them, go undercover for some ops,
