Well, that isn't a surprise really. Canons are sticking to form at least. Shame their form is rubbish. There's always next season though!

Appearance.

Red hair, blue eyes and freckles all sounds very familiar when you think about Weasleys, but there are a few things that make Ron stand out from the crowd. He's the tallest, standing at 6'1.5" he is also the skinniest, though that can be hotly debated by Percy who isn't exactly big. Ron's the lankiest without specs, tall and slim, he moves in a very awkward sort of way as if he isn't quite used to his own limbs. His nose and cheekbones are covered in freckles during the summer, but these fade when it is less sunny. Ron's hair is worn longer than is usual and is kept in a rather haphazard style.

He wears the required black robes for work, though these have a well worn look as he has to mend them at least once a month after various mishaps. When out of uniform, battered jeans and t-shirts are his favoured choices. Although during the winter months he has a wide selection of hand-knitted sweaters and some hoodies. It isn't unusual for Ron to have scrapes and bruises on his skin and most people he knows have grown accustomed to seeing him with taped up fingers or with his wrist in a sling.

Ron has a half sleeve tattoo on his right bicep and shoulder. It's colourful and fairly large. At work it is hidden under his robes, but during summer the tattoo is clearly visible under the sleeve of a t-shirt.

Personality.

Though outwardly Ron can seem nonchalant, he feels a strong need to make his mark on the world. Growing up in the shadow of his brothers has fueled his desire to stand out, however he sometimes lacks the self confidence to do so. Over all, though he can sometimes be pessimistic, Ron has a pretty profound outlook on life, he knows the difference between right and wrong and often sees solutions where others can't. This may be due to the fact that he doesn't tend to over-think situations.

He has a similar love for fun as his twin brothers, though doesn't tend to take his mischief making as far. He may have a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but he has a kind heart and would always try to help anyone in any way he could. Ron is a social creature, he loves spending time with friends and his family mean the world to him even if he does feel a little overshadowed by his brothers and their achievements. There isn't a cruel bone in his body, but he can man up and play the 'bad cop' when needed.

His temper and insecurity are probably his biggest weaknesses, but he is trying to manage both. If he loses his temper he will shout and be grumpy for a couple of days afterwards but things are usually forgiven and forgotten quickly. Unless you really, really annoy him; then he literally shakes with rage and it's best to hide. Ron'll normally remove himself from the situation as his own temper scares him when he gets like that and he wouldn't want to hurt anyone.

History.

Ron grew up in a big family, one of seven children and the second youngest. His whole family have been Gryffindors and he is no exception. His Mother, Molly, is a house-witch. His Dad, Arthur, works at the Ministry. He's fond of Muggles and there are loads of muggle things dotted throughout the Burrow. Ron's eldest brother, Bill works for Gringotts as a curse breaker. His second eldest brother Charlie works in Romania with Dragons. The next brother, Percy, left Hogwarts as Head Boy and now works for the Ministry, but the family no longer keeps in contact with him as he's a bit of a prat about things. Everyone knows the twins and their Wizard joke shop. Ginny is the youngest and the only girl, making her a little overprotected by Ron and his brothers.

At Hogwarts is came as no surprise when Ron followed the rest of his family into Gryffindor. He wasn't entirely sure about the courageous part, but the Sorting Hat had confidence in him and that was all that mattered when it came to house placement. Ron was happy enough just learning about all the different spell to be too bothered about persuing a Quidditch career in his early years. The Twins were Beaters and Harry Seeker and Ron loved watching his best friend and brothers play.

Fourth year was amazing. The Tri-Wizard tournament was the most fantastic event he had ever witnessed and even though he didn't compete, he threw his support behind the Hogwarts Champion. In his fifth year, Ginny persuaded him to try out for the Quidditch team and he took over Wood's old position as Keeper. Academically, he was an average student -he does have good brains, he is just too lazy to use them to their full advantage most of the time. He passed all of his OWLs apart from History of Magic and went on to take NEWTs in Potions, Transfiguration, Charms, Herbology, DADA and Astronomy. He recieved O's in Transfig, DADA and Charms, with E's in the others.

Leaving School, Ron went straight into the Auror training programme, much to the delight of James Potter. His best friend's dad had always been as supportive of him as his own parents, which he appreciated a lot more than he sometimes showed. Shortly after he was accepted on the programme, he got his tattoo, his mother went ballistic, screaming at him for a whole hour before Ron gave in and ran away to the Potters'. He spent a week on their couch before he dared venture home.

Both his parents and eldest brother are Members of The Order of the Phoenix and growing up he heard stories of their work, deciding that he would join as soon as he was of age. This hasn't happened quite as planned. Still living at home has it's disadvantages, one of which is the fact his Mother can lay on the guilt extra thick. She doesn't want her littlest boy in the Order just yet, so grudgingly, Ron agreed to wait.
