MAKING A STATEMENT

1. Henry Cain, in an effort to tick his cousin off, has made it a mission to kill the original Batman, and frame it on Damien.

2. He calls on Ace to uncover when Bruce Wayne will make his next public appearance. When she gives him the information, he enlists the help of Shift to infiltrate the party that Bruce is set to attend.

3. She takes the appearance of Vesper, a League assassin, and attacks Bruce during the party. This draws the attention of the current Batman, who defends Bruce.

4. Shift leads Batman away from Bruce. Then Bullet, who has a clear shot and a sniper rifle, shoots Bruce and kills him. At that moment, a beacon is lit up in the sky that depicts a demon's head.

5. Shift manages to escape Batman, leaving him to return to the scene of a dead Bruce Wayne. Looking into the sky, Batman blames the leader of the League of Assassins for the death of Bruce Wayne.

6. A contingency plan is set into motion, and Tamara Fox temporarily takes over Wayne Industries up until the finale of Blackest Night, when Bruce is revived.

Cloe Denver, aka Ace, is a genius detective and hacker. She is one of the best in her fields of expertise. She has no fighting skill to speak of, but has an uncanny ability to detect incoming danger and leave before it occurs. This is not considered a sixth sense, but is rather described as woman's intuition. That is, at least, how Cloe chooses to describe it. Stealth is her greatest asset.

Cloe grew up in New York City and became a private investigator when she discovered she had a talent for that line of work. She quickly became one of the best in her field, and was very well known. She was considered to have died, however, after she broke a case in Gotham City wide open. Before she could be killed, however, Henry Cain came to her rescue and saved her life. They conspired together to make Cloe appear dead to the public, thus taking the target off of her back in the criminal underworld. She has since actively worked to help Henry when he needs information.

Doug Willis, aka TKO, is an expert in multiple forms of martial arts and Chi manipulation. When using his Chi, Doug obtains heightened strength, durability, speed, and reflexes. He is capable of fighting groups of opponents by himself.

Doug was born in the Triangle, and always showed potential to be a greater martial artist. He had raw talent and was sought after by many factions. He was finally taken by a Japanese crime family and taught Chi manipulation in combination with a refining of his talent in martial arts. He was the family's attack dog, until many years later when the family was killed while he was away. Henry Cain found him and helped Doug exact revenge on those who wiped out his family, and Doug has since placed his loyalty to Henry.

Po is a master archer and poison maker. He is capable of identifying and reproducing any poison he comes into contact with. He is also capable with producing antidotes for them all. He commonly employs arrows laced with a paralytic neuro-toxin.

Po was a high ranking soldier in the Chinese army. In time, his reputation made him many enemies. He was framed for the murder of a superior officer, and sentenced to death. Henry Cain rescued him, and Po has since devoted himself to helping Henry in any way that he can.

Jessica Fey, aka Shift, has the ability to transform into any person and any animal she has touched. When she transforms, she adapts to every attribute possessed by what she is changing into. She has no formal combat training to speak of.

Jessica was raised in Gotham City and grew up to become a fashion model. She was sabotaged during one of her shows, however, and left badly scarred. As revenge, she shifted into gorilla and slaughtered everyone backstage. Even though she was never discovered to be the culprit, Jessica remained scarred and never managed to book another job. She was approached by Henry Cain one day, who helped her fix the scars and she was able to return to her work. Jessica swore to help Henry in any way that she could since that moment.

Greg Jones, aka Ghost, is a master thief and a master of disguise. He can pick the pockets of even the most aware people around, and has the uncanny ability to blend in with any crowd. He is capable of bypassing high level security systems, and has easily broken in and out of the best prisons, banks, etc.. Sometimes it's as if he's not even really there. He has no formal combat training to speak of.

Greg was born and raised homeless. The only way he got by was by stealing. He had a natural talent for it, and developed it over time to become a world-class thief. He learned how to disguise himself to help his thievery. One day he stole from the League of Assassins, and was marked for death. Henry Cain framed a lesser member of the League to take the fall for Greg, who in turn devoted himself to helping Henry whenever he could.

Hailey Grey, aka Bullet, is an expert marksman (or markswoman, as she would prefer to be called). She has extensive knowledge of every gun known to man, and is more than capable of using all of them. She also has perfect aim. She is an average hand-to-hand combatant.

Hailey is a wealthy business woman who grew up with an affinity for guns. She started out as a poor girl, but casually strolled up to the top by eliminating the competition. She was almost caught for her crimes until Henry Cain intervened and got her off the watch list and cleaned her record. She has since devoted herself to helping him whenever she can.

Sinister is a powerful sorcerer that employs powerful spirit related magic. He is a master in the field of necromancy, and is fully capable of raising the dead as his servants. He has no other combat training, but doesn't really require it.

Sinister's origins are largely unknown. What is known is that he is hundred of years old, having preserved his life through magic rituals and sacrifices. Henry Cain made contact with him in hopes of recruiting Sinister to be his follower. Sinister agreed to follow Henry for as long as the boy lived, as long as it wasn't boring. After all, Henry's lifespan is a spec compared to how long Sinister plans to be around.

Bella Frost, aka Snakeskin, is not human. Instead, she is actually a giant white snake wearing a human corpse. Her human skin is highly durable, flexible, and strong. When forced to leave the human skin, Bella maintains these attributes, but they are drastically increased.

Bella's true name is unknown, as she is actually a giant white snake. Her origins are also unknown. What is know is that the snake inhabits the body of a dead prostitute. She preys on men who seek companionship. Bella was almost discovered by a group of monster hunters, but Henry Cain intervened and saved her the trouble of dealing with them. She decided to help him out whenever something interesting came up, to repay her debt.

Mulan is a masterful torturer, capable of breaking even the strongest of wills. She is highly skilled with all forms of bladed combat.

Mulan is a native of China that was employed by the government to use her talents to extract information from foreign spies and rebels within the country. She was eventually pinned as a double agent and targeted by her own country as a traitor. Henry Cain helped her clear her name, and she has devoted her services to him whenever he needs them.

He truly hates having to answer to his cousins, and is waiting for the day when he can take the League from them and use it for his own uses.
