Fridays are always nice. I mostly worked in the retail store yesterday. I love working there cause time flies. Joe and I played some Guitar Hero (short amount of time), unlocked everything with my Gameshark. Woot. Morgan and I decided to skip DiRT for right now since we all got into the COD4 beta, and from that we'd go into Halo 3, gotta save my pennies for that now.
Went riding after work which was great. Since it was nice I went to the outdoor ring. Then emilie finally came although by then I was done and coming inside. So we hung out and chatted for a while...good times.
When we got home I had gotten my Call of Duty 4 beta invite but I was just too tired to play so I queued up the download and we went off to watch The Simpsons Movie (which we never finished). For some odd reason I woke up at 4AM and I logged on to COD4.
I played for a good 2 hours. It's fun although you die really easily. I guess that's more realistic though. It is a lot of fun once you get the hang of the controls and everything. I am a level 4 right now. 98% of the people were level 11s which is the maxmimum level you can obtain in the beta. Crazy...I'll get there eventually though. I love how you can call in airstrikes and everything though, that's pretty cool. I cannot wait to play with Keith and Morgan. We'll probably do that on Tuesday, maybe before if they're around.
I got my hands on Tony Hawks Project 8 and also Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 so I'll be trying those out today. I played the GRAW: 2 demo and I did like it, so I thought why not give the full game a go. So anyways, after my 4AM COD4 I just went back to sleep and woke up around 9 or so. Played some more COD4 and then we went out to breakfast.
Came back and I played the Stranglehold demo, finally...I did like it a lot, but I absolutely had the controls...sorta...I mostly dislike how slow he turns left and right. It takes literally 30 seconds to turn 90 degrees. And when you've got 6-7 guys with shot guns and pistols shooting at you, well...it can get to be quite annoying. The graphics are great, the whole destructive environment is done wonderfully. I do wish there was a bit more variety of weapons in the demo though.
Keith mentioned that the Time Shift demo was good, and Morgan said he got it, but hadn't played it so I am downloading it right now. It's a shooter so it should be good. I think I actually read about it and whatever they wrote about it was good...
Will probably go riding later this evening when it's cool...although it's pretty cool out now. I'll go play some more COD4 and get my rank up some more...
