biography
it all started on february 14th, 1991. kaylie sky jackson was born to katherine and jerry jackson who were ecstatic to bring their little baby girl into the world -- who knew it would be their only girl of four kids; having an older son, and two younger after kaylie. katherine and jerry had the same jobs for years, and to be honest, kaylie didn't know much about either. even now at 16 years old, she only knew her dad owned some company and her mom worked for him. joke around school was her family was somehow connected to the mob, but kaylie didn't believe it at all. though she had no clue where most of her family's money came from, they were stable and comfortable, money wasn't a real issue and kaylie found herself blessed in that department. she still worked a couple hours a week at the coffee shop her family also owned, her mom spent most of her time there running it when she could get out of being at the office.
'the mocha bean' was kaylie's favorite place to be. she loved meeting the bands that passed through, even if they were small acts or local acoustic ones, and open mic night was definitely one of the places to be on a friday or saturday night. just the smell alone was comforting. it was a place for all the high schoolers to be after school, as well. free wifi, a couple macs set up around the pretty big cafe for homework (or myspace) purposes, better coffee than starbucks for a fraction of the price, pastries, sandwiches, soup. everything in between.
kaylie does drive, she has a white jetta, but it's not always the most sensible thing with her record of fender-benders, so most of the time she does stick to riding her bike. this is usually her way to work, not normally to school, but if a friend lives close enough she'll take that route. besides the bean and school, kaylie enjoys time at the movies, mall, basketball practice or games, carting her little brothers around, local shows, and anything along those lines. she's normally present at the football games, but more so after when she'll gather everyone up for a late night session at the bean.
