Born in Seattle, Washington on the very snowy Christmas eve morning of 1988, KennedyAnne Pernelle Meeks came crying and screaming into this world in a scene that very closely resembled a something out of a bad horror movie. It was the first day in a series of very long ones that would soon unfold in the epic story of a girl whose personality seemed to completely conflict her first appearance.
Unlike most kids her age with an attitude as caustic and bitchy (and sometimes maniacal) as her's, Kennedy actually led a rather normal, pleasant life. Both of her parents loved her very much and provided extremely well, her mother being one of the top law professors at Seattle University and her father one of the head attorneys for the Seattle DA's office. The couple loved their daughter dearly, and for a while, she showed great potential in school, being their prodigal child... or at least, that's what they thought. In school, she did her work and breezed through her classes, but still landed herself in detention on a regular basis and generally opted to doodle pictures of her teachers getting blown to bits by an m80 rather than taking notes.
Her free time was generally consumed with friends, being a very a-typical Seattle kid, growing up in one of the major art and music hubs in the United States. When she wasn't attending parties with rockstars or going to concerts with her friends, she could usually be found pulling pranks and wreaking havoc around town or running from the cops. Her exploits made her quite infamous in the Puget Sound area, her name (and exploits) known from Seattle all the way down south to Olympia.
It was when she was 12 years old that she first had the... interesting (or severely mildly frightening) pleasure of meeting royal. He was the weird kid that lived next door to her Aunt and Uncle in New York City. Her parents had hauled her off there for the summer to maybe have some vague hope of turning her good again. Needless to say, though, it was a lame attempt that turned out to be fruitless. Instead of turning her act around, she and Royal, along with his best friend, tj, banded together and the boys quickly grew close to this girl and her bazaar, at best, way of thinking. Only a week into the vacation, just after the forth of July, the three of them were running from the cops after they "accidentally" set off a large assortment of fireworks underneath a dumpster outside of McDonald's; the action resulted in a large explosion, scattering old, nasty, greasy food, disgusting trash and filth all over the building and neighboring areas, as well as a "small" fire that singed the brick beyond repair... They were never caught and the scorch marks still decorate the brick in the ally... The story itself has become infamous.
That summer was a major turning point in Kennedy's life. Her parents still tried hard to get their daughter on the straight and narrow, but supported every decision she ever made, so long as they knew that she was working toward a goal in her life. The couple were quite proud of their little girl when she got her job at Easy Street Records, one of the biggest local record stores in Seattle at only fifteen. She stayed there for only two months before being fired for flooding a toilet and ruining a stock of the recent Pearl Jam release.
It was only a month that she announced to her parents that she would not be finishing high school. Instead, she was going to drop out and drive all the way across the country to manage her partners in crime friend's band. The two were saddened by this and protested quite a bit. However, when both your parents are lawyers, you find loopholes in the system and she managed to convince them to emancipate her from their care. Despite the fact that she wasn't in school throughout her junior and senior years of high school, she still stayed in close contact with friends and was somehow still voted Most Likely to Take Over the World in Garfield High School's 2006 senior year book.
Upon arriving in New York, Kennedy took up residence in her Aunt and Uncle's guest room, making little noise, and always being very cordial. At first, the situation with her family was rocky at best, but she worked her way through it with the aid of her friends. When her family finally learned that it wasn't a bunch of bullshit and that the band was actually headed somewhere in the career and Kennedy had a stable source of income with it, they quickly reaccepted their lost kin and supported her once more. However, if nothing else, it was the first few months she was there that brought her and TJ closer than anything else. While she and Royal may have made quite the pair, it was his quieter best friend she automatically hit it off with and the two quickly became inseparable. However, it wasn't until she was seventeen that they hooked up. Their first date was at the same McDonald's they'd terrorized some five years previously.
The relationship was kept under wraps for quite sometime, the only person who knew about it was Royal. They are two years into it now and are still going strong, and while they may perhaps be secretly plotting a hostile government takeover, they are actually open with their relationship and make it a point not to let work get in the way of their home life. It was only six months ago while the band was taking a break before finishing recording on their most recent album that the couple vacationed to Epcot (considering she had never been and wanted to see what it was all about) and TJ proposed. The date for the wedding hasn't been announced and there's a pool going on how long it will be before they just say fuck it and elope in a drive through wedding chapel in Vegas that smells strongly of cat urine and stale cigarettes.
For the most part, Kennedy opts to stay behind the scenes where the band is concerned, but never strays. However, despite this, she still makes appearances in every one of their music videos.
After having been out of school for four years, she is now taking online courses between her own work to finish her high school education, and while she is not planning on going to college any time in the near future, she hopes to at least achieve one major thing in her life.
Is quite possibly the epitome of the term "looks can be deceiving," because while she may stand at only 5'3" and look like some weird hippy chick that should be hanging out at a hookah bar and smoking way too much pot, she's actually a pistol and someone not to be fucked with. She's got a bit of an anger management issue and believes in holding her own in any situation. She considers herself to be brutally honest, but is truthfully just a cynical bitch.
Despite her very blunt and someone off the wall personality, she is a very caring and nurturing person and takes care of all her close friends. She is by far the mothering type and is often the person people will turn to for help, leaving her to play the voice of reason in many situations.
Could be considered something of a walking pharmacy, though her drug of choice is cocaine. Having grown up in such a party oriented culture, it isn't at all surprising that she took up drugs. She also smokes like a chimney and drinks too much, but never lets any of her addictions get into the way of her work, though and for a cokehead, she eats like there's no tomorrow. Loves anything as long as it doesn't give her heartburn... but even then, doesn't really care.
TJ and Royal beat the living shit out of the boy she began dating when she was fifteen after he virtually raped her, taking her virginity. The incident resulted in his hospitalization with a collapsed lung, a broken nose and jaw, numerous abrasions and broken ribs. No one but the three of them actually know why, and it is because of this experience that she and TJ's relationship was so rocky in it's early phases.
Through everything she has endured, Kennedy still remains a strong person and looks at life in a very realistic light. She takes each day as it comes and handles whatever comes her way accordingly, believing that life is a series of moments that need to be taken in, both good and bad and living on instinct is the only way to go, because if you can't trust yourself, what can you trust?
If you were to look at her iTunes, you'd either think she was well versed in music or that she was completely out of her mind. Truth be told, she is something of a walking Mojo dictionary on every genre of music ever made, though her favourite bands range from the Beatles, the Kinks, Ben Harper, Thom York, Elliot Smith, the Kooks, the Sex Pistols, Cock Sparrer, Dropkick Murphys, Social Distortion, Agent Orange, the Bouncing Souls, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Nekromantix, Brian Setzer, LA Guns, the Grateful Dead... Basically, it's best just not to ask about her taste in music.
Despite the fact that their fridge is generally littered with take out and week old pizza usually has it's own spot on the coffee table, Kennedy is an excellent chef and tends to cook gourmet banquets for anyone who really wants them. However, she doesn't usually have the time to do this on a regular basis, but will occasionally, on a whim, cook enough food to fuel a small army... and it all gets eaten by the boys. She's still not sure where it all goes.
Truth be told, while she loves New York and the life that she has now, she desperately misses home. Seattle is where her heart will always lie, but she can only handle it in small doses. However, whenever she is in town, she insists on eating at Dick's Burgers, Zeke's and the Bamboo Garden and without fail, always drags everyone to Seattle Center to go on the rides and dance in the fountain.
