I've asked for an official interoffice case to be opened on the incidents in Kent, but Crouch is insisting that the interoffice procedural paperwork is to be completed at all levels. When I questioned Auror Booth about the timeline of such a task, he said it could take anywhere from three months to two years for it to make its complete course through the Ministry. With Devon's help, I've managed to track down the first two rolls of parchment to be completed. However, paperwork is not why I'm writing this entry, but I'm hoping it will give some weight to my request that we discreetly share information from our respective case files on the Kent incidents. I do not know how far we should go back, but I believe that we must look for a connection between them because the increasing number of Muggle attacks on wizards in Kent will not go unnoticed by the media and population at large for much longer.

Dobbs and Podmore -- I'm trusting that you two are capable of keeping these backscratching tactics under wraps and I know Auror Moody agrees with me when I say: this cannot wait another week, let alone three months to two years.

Bravo to the Q.U.A.B.B.L.E. office for pulling together for the Halloween Benefit. Philanthropy has always been dear to me. I do, sincerely, hope it is a success. I like to see kindness in the face of such woe. My condolences go out to every person -- Wizard and Muggle -- who were and still are affected by this tragedy. Money cannot compensate for the loss of a loved one, but I hope your financial burdens will be lessened.
