Introduction.

Kitana Maybellene Halliwell, or Kit as she would sometimes be called, was born on June 11, 1981 to Christian Halliwell and Adrianna Halliwell. She was the only daughter of the couple, the youngest out of two. She has a brother who is two years older than her. Christian was both a real estate and hotel tycoon who worked with Donald Trump on more than one occasion and Adrianna was an editor-in-chief at Vogue, a popular fashion and lifestyle magazine. The two met at a hotel opening that Christian helped create, Adrianna being there for the next article in the magazine, and they fell in love that same night. They were married in St. Patrick's Cathedral two years before Kitana was born. As soon as Kitana came into the world, Adrianna took a maternity leave to help raise her newborn daughter. Christian managed to take some time off himself so he could be with his family. He even had the mansion extended to add an extra room for Kitana to play in besides the room she had previously. The child was spoiled from the start yet she wasn't the type to want. She played with a few select toys she was given since she knew that there was no chance for every toy to be played with. Her parents hired a personal nanny for her to watch over Kitana while they were at work and the nanny stayed until she turned seven. After that, Adrianna's mother came to watch over Kitana or took the young girl to her house. Kitana didn't mind where she went, as long as she had something to occupy herself with, she was fine. She would even play with her brother when the two of them were alone.

Childhood.

While she was a toddler, Adrianna took a variety of pictures of her daughter and featured some of them in Vogue. Adrianna knew that her daughter had a modeling side to her and when Kitana turned thirteen, her mother took her to a modeling agency. Kitana soon was featured in a variety of magazines and ads, especially some with Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. With her serious facial expressions and the body of Brooke Shields (according to her father), Kitana became eye candy for a variety of fashion designers. Even though she was still young, she still managed to keep her good girl image for the public. Behind the cameras, she had a tomboyish attitude that almost made her parents upset. Kitana befriended a few boys that lived around her neighborhood and she loved spending time with them. She had friends who were girls but she liked to be with her other friends. They would go sailing or ice skating at the Rockefeller Center around Christmas time as a group. She would hang out with her girl friends and attend extravagent birthday parties, have chaperons take them to ice cream parlors and toy stores and would usually hang out at Central Park while watching the boys play with kites and sailboats. Kitana soon fell in love with one of the boys she was friends with, Noah Brolin. They playfully flirted with each other up until the two of them started high school when they decided to take their relationship seriously. The two dated the majority of their years in high school, them ending up losing their virginities in junior year, but the relationship soon grew apart when Noah decided to move to Oxford to attend college there. Kitana was clearly hurt by his decision to move away only now the two continue to keep in touch by phone and e-mail so they wouldn't be apart from each other completely.

Academics.

Christian was a fan of a variety of sports and one of his favorites were fencing. When Kitana was nine years old, he paid for private lessons for her with one of his good friends. She enjoyed it so much that she made sure she had lessons at least twice a week just so she could get the thrill of holding one of the fencing swords. By the time Kitana was a young girl, both her parents enrolled her in The Dalton School in hopes that she will do something extraordinary in the future. Kitana stayed there until she was a twelfth grader, graduating the school with top honors. She was quite the social butterfly, making friends with both boys and girls. At one point Christian wanted Kitana to try out for the Model United Nations team but it wasn't something she was interested in. She was quite the athletic girl and was the captain of the girls cross country team, the girls lacrosse team and the girls softball team for both middle school and on varsity. It surprised her grandparents that she was completely into athletics but they came to support their granddaughter. Kitana was also fascinated with art. She took part in theatre, being apart in many of the plays the school had, received an award for piano and participated in dance for two years. Both her parents were proud of her academics and after she graduated Dalton, she enrolled in Columbia University, particularly Columbia University School of the Arts, and received her Masters of Fine Arts. While she was at the college, she came up with the idea of writing about a group of teenagers from the Upper East Side so the public would get a taste of how it is to live life like that. The called the book Gossip Girl and the first novel was published when she was twenty-one.

Present Day.

To this day, Kitana has written eleven novels total of the Gossip Girl series and five books of The It Girl series. She continues to write, having a prequel novel of Gossip Girl in the works. She does do a lot of socializing, appearing at parties, events, or just anything that is with crowded rich people. Kitana loves to shop all around Fifth Avenue, Madison Avenue and 3rd Avenue. Kitana's become a fashionista around New York, always wearing the latest outfit from a designer or jewelery line. She also was a partner in the LAMB line with Diego Casarez. As of now, she lives in Manhattan in a place nearby her family's home where she continues to write and relax when she can.
