Is threadjumping your character okay?
Definitely!

Is hugging your character okay?
Sure? All the more if you're a cute little kid!

Is kissing your character okay?
Nope. That's reserved for his wife.

Is badtouching your character okay?
.... Definitely not. <strike>Why would you want to do that.</strike>

Is there anything you do not want mentioned to your character?
I don't think so! Though if you know Yumagi from DAF, it's probably not best to tell him about what... may happen. It'd upset him. Also, it's best not to insult his family, but hey! Getting daddy angry would be fun, right?

Can psychics read your character's mind?
If they can stand constant obsessing over his family, sure! <strike>Feel free to be disgusted by his overly lovingness/driven insane/etc</strike>

Is maiming/killing/doing bad things to your character okay? And is permission needed first?
D: Why would you and definitely so!

Anything else you would like to mention?
Marin, save me!

Application

Name: Louvel Dor Muton
Nickname: Lou
Sex: Male
Occupation: Merchant Trader

Likes: His family ( His wife: Marin and children: Inès, Arue, Miir and baby Odie on the way ♥ ), the sea, books, maps.
Dislikes: Anyone who talks bad about his family, people who have goals but too lazy too pursue them, royalty (they're just so tedious).
Hobbies & Interests: Fishing, Cartography, Reading (novels and instructional books), Collecting (encourages his children to collect what they like as a hobby too).

Abilities:
- Talent: Learns quickly and hard working. Also has a pretty good memory (though not so much when it comes to people). Also as the ability to turn into a ram at the cost of a lot of energy and only for a limited time. This is an ability he however shares with the whole of everyone in his world.
- Physical: He's of above average strength and agility but his biggest asset is his endurance.
- Magical: None! That's why he's coming to Ludus to learn a bit of magic.
- Weaknesses: His family; cute ickle kids (no he's not a pedo!). He's pretty lazy when distracted (also by his beloved family) and unmotivated, and though he rarely ever gets angry when he does, he's completely enraged. Also, since has no experience with magic, he has no defense against it other than dodging. Transforming into a beast leaves all people of his world weakened when they transform back and also more of their animal traits retain for a short time. Despite being his age, he's also not that smart.

Personality: Louvel is laid back and cheerful at home where he dotes on his children and wife excessively. As already obvious, he's pretty obsessed with them, and hates to leave them. He knows his children (and wife) very well and won't heisitate to bring them up in conversations. But when he's working he's much more focused and quick with negotiations. His employees are pretty convinced it's because he just because wants to get home faster though. He's cordial to most people and his friendly business personality helps deal with people easily.

However, when he was younger he definitely had more of a temper and had easily lost it at anyone making fun of his dreams when he finally figured them out. He was also particularly competitive. He tempered himself as not to get fired from jobs and this part of his personality eventually just mellowed out as he reached his goals. It rarely now appears unless he's deeply offended. However he can be easily pacified by his children and wife.

He's not actually a person who is naturally hardworking but does so out of necessity. If he wasn't providing for his family, he would probably just be at home relaxing and playing with his kids. But as he wants his family to live not just provided for but living luxuriously, so working hard is not an option. Also, as his wife works with him, she leaves him no room to run back home (or be lovey-dovey, much to his disappointment).

Background: In Louvel's world, all people have evolved from different sort of animals and born with certain animal features. Most of these save one or two traits disappears as they age. Louvel's family trait of course is their horns. As stated above, all people can transform into a beast they've inherited using a lot of energy and only for a limited time. When they transform back from that form traits that have disappeared from childhood often return for a short time until the person has recuperated. Because of this most people don't transform even once in their lifetime.

A rare occurrence in which people who've inherited traits from more than one beast are chimeras. Usually a person will inherited one side or the other. There are also very little bug people (not appealing to most apparently). People who show no noticeable animal traits are from a primate race. Due to this, humans would not be overly strange to Louvel though primates are not dominant in his world at all.

The setting is a pseudo-renaissance world with some modern conveniences. Such as there's things like cellphones, television, cameras, etc. Of course it's not powered by electricity or gas or such but energy and power harnessed from nature (such as waves, wind, fire, lightning) and bound by magic. This energy is stored and released through conduits to power buildings or to be used a power source for small devices such as communication devices which would have to be taken to a power facility to be recharged.

Magic in that world is separated in two schools: academic and nature. Academic magic was from everything from telekinesis, transformation (of items), shape-shifting (that of which isn't limited to one's own beast form), binding, etc. Nature magic is a lesser known about since those who learn from it are mages who naturally were born with the power to control nature. Because of this, not many know what is taught in those temples. And because of that many think of nature mages, especially young untaught children as dangerous. Besides that nature mages also believe that harnessing too much of nature's power could backfire or nature could retaliate.

Moving on to Louvel's actual history.

Louvel is from a country called Lanatios. He is the son of an ordinary sailor on a trading ship. His mother died when he was very young, so he traveled around with his father. During one of the times when cargo was being loaded, at age six, Louvel met his future wife.

If you were expecting her to be some fragile, shy thing that he fell in love at first sight that'd be completely wrong. She was a merchant's daughter who had (forcibly) followed along with her father. She was only a couple years older but already considerably taller Louvel. He had been playing with some of the other boys there and had ran into her and she had kicked him for it ("Stupid careless boys."). They had gotten into a fight of which she had won. And though she was in trouble with her own father, she simply smiled (irritatingly) and hmphed as he had gotten himself thrown out of the ship for it's journey and left to fend for himself until his father came back several months later.

He grew up working on the ship, as his father rose to first mate. This position only lasted two years, when Louvel was twelve years old, and in an accident his father had been knocked overboard during a storm and was never retrieved. Alone in the world, Louvel decided a year later that he didn't know if he wanted to be a sailor for the rest of his life and started odd jobs to see what he liked.

During one of these jobs, one as a janitor in the duke's castle, he ran into her again. She was distantly related to the duke apparently, but wasn't particularly close to most royals (he didn't know it then, but she was there because she had lost her parents due to a trip afar where they had been caught by a plague). At the sight of him, she had just smile dismissively and said, "Oh, it's you." Though it wasn't as if Louvel remembered her. It didn't help she had shed most of her sheep features and was left with only a tail. He just blinked and asked who she was. She had apparently took great offense to that and walked away quickly before coming back just as quickly and kicking him hard in the shin and told him her name was Marin and he had better remember it this time. The pain certainly made him remember and the next few times he met her around the duke's castle he made sure to call her by name. Marin for her part seemed to be more cheerful. During one of these encounters, she offered him (rather suddenly) an offer if he grew taller than her and became more respectable, she would marry him. If he thought he could do it anyway.

That would be the last he'd see of her for a few years in while he took up her offer on working hard. Though he wasn't sure about marrying Marin, he couldn't back down from the challenge and he supposed he liked her enough. He did admire her sense of pride. And she was kind of pretty.

He continued with the odd jobs (him explaining his goal of marrying a girl that he may or may not like that lead to laughing and his temper didn't help any) until he landed a steady one dealing with the business end of shipping goods. Mostly he catalogued goods into archive, handled customer claims and receipts. His boss would even let him do more managerial tasks and it seemed he'd definitely make it as a manager soon (and only at sixteen years at that!) when a certain incident with a client sneaking in black market goods into the cargo and Lou getting framed for it. Frustrated, Lou wanted to rage and just break free as he was being arrested and taken away, though he knew better that it would only cause more suspicion upon him. The one to bail him out of jail would be Marin. As he was released to her, she was no longer the tomboyish lamb or the mercurial teen. Though she looked just as irritated as she tapped her hand on her side and he could only give her a sheepish look.

Since he was having such a hard time, she would give him a hand and let him help her restart her father's trading company. This way she could keep a proper eye on him instead of relying on word of mouth and watching from afar ("You were stalking me?"). Lou had wanted to jokingly refuse but he had seen she just seemed tired and this... offer of hers was really a plea for help. So he just quietly agreed and took her hand and thanked her for freeing him and promised he'd pay her back ("W-what? You don't have to. Just work hard for me."). After catching the real culprit soon after his freedom, he quickly used his connections with the shipping company to help her with the trading business and learned from Marin how to run it. Together they rebuilt Dor Muton Trading Co.

Lou found himself watching Marin as he worked with her, finding her having really grown up. Despite her strong interior, she had a lot of worries and a cute side he wasn't even aware of. A year into their partnership he was wholeheartedly in love with her. He also received a shock from her when he had asked her why she had done so much for him and she had easily (and bluntly) answered that it was because she liked him from the beginning ("From what? When we were kids?!"). He was just painfully slow to realize. The one to fall in love at first sight was her, though she expressed it like kids do... though perhaps more violently than normal people did. When she offered him to marry him she was perfectly serious. She had lost her family and she had met him again. She wasn't even sure she'd see him again if she didn't make efforts to keep tabs on him. And when she got him out of jail, well, that she had her last straw seeing as he was already two years late, didn't he know that common age girls were married off was sixteen? She was turning nine--before she finished though he had kissed her and and asked her to marry him. She laughed and told him that she technically asked him first.

They were married a few months after. He had taken up her family name and became Louvel Dor Muton. They continued to grow their business successfully first so they would be set before they had children, the first of which came when Lou was twenty-one. He pretty much fell in love with all his children and became the doting daddy that he is today. He loved to make them happy and watch them play and grow. Inès probably had their best parts, she was hardworking and growing up beautifully. Arue was stubborn ("Arue, you need to drink your milk to grow."), lazy, and the most important thing to him was having fun. Miir, their youngest, was already slightly taller than Arue. She was serious but had an adventurous and sometimes competitive streak which Marin blamed Lou for.

Lou received the acceptance letter to Ludus out of the blue. He was seriously going to turn it down if his wife hadn't talked him into it. The country was in some political turmoil due to the different schools of magic butting heads and this different magic might provide some protection if not some education. And also it prove to be a business opportunity to trade between dimensions. Even if they were less advanced than other civilizations their products could be traded as novelty items (it should be evident who was the ruthless one in business). She had to convince Lou quite a bit since he didn't want to leave them, never had attended school before, and because she was after all pregnant with their fourth child. However, she assured him that she would be fine and he could come home for the birth or she could go there and she will still run the company until she'd take her pregnancy leave.

Thus, reluctantly, Lou entered Ludus University.

Other Notables:
- Having never gone to a school, Lou isn't very book smart. He is however, pretty good with simple maths due to his occupation.

- He'll gush about his family to however will listen, but if you're not interested in that he would also gladly try to sell goods to you.

- His trading company sells a variety of things, mostly to do with home items (tableware, furniture, decorative goods).

- Lou and his family are vegetarians, seeing as they're sheep.

- Beastfolk losing traits depends entirely on each individual. It's like puberty, when it happens is different for everyone.

- Inès is 10 years old, Arue is 6, Miir is 4, and Odie is still in his mommy's tummy.

RP SAMPLE:
"You'll do fine," Marin had assured him before he had left home and into this... place. He closed his eyes trying to remember their smiling, reassuring faces as he stepped forward into this new world.

Well, it was certainly... big. He had seen some grand castles (as his wife was distantly related to some royals) but nothing at home was fancy as this. Or clean for that matter. He glanced down at his feet and behind him to make sure his shoes were not tracking mud or something into the pristine streets.

He took a deep breath. It was certainly overwhelming but he had always adapted to situations he was thrown in. He could definitely do this.

Except. Well, he was lost. Which of these buildings exactly was suppose to be the school? They all looked different and the same in that none of them were the least bit familiar.

Louvel gave a sigh. "Marin," he said aloud. "Are you really sure I'll be fine?"
