Interview
How did the band come up with the name 'Eclipse'?
Mark: Well, if you must know. My grandpa is a werewolf. He was the inspiration for the whole moon eclipse thing. Besides when Royal Fletcher's ( Lead singer of IAMBOLLYWOOD ) mom would pull down her pants, it was an eclipse, she has such a fat ass. So it just kept popping up so I took it as a sign from God. Then named my band Eclipse.

The band has a new album on the way called 'Hellshow' What are you thoughts on the album?

Mark: I actually had a lot of fun making this new album. It has the same old vibe but it's a bit more energetic. It honestly was all the kool-aid powder that I was snorting that helped me bring lots of hype and just such a feel good energy for Hellshow. There's a lot going on, each song is a new experience but no matter what I'll have you all shaking your asses. Especially Royal's mom.

Do you have any personal favorites off the album?

Mark: Hands down it has to be "True Romance". I can't explain it, it just gets to me. It's so catchy and it's something I catch myself singing in the shower, humming while I'm out and about. Singing outside random people's windows. I'm sure everyone at least felt this way before. Ironically it's not a fairytale love kinda song. It's about TRUE romance. You know how horrible that could be.

How can a fan of Eclipse join your street team?

Mark: It's really simple, every cd comes with a little application and you can just fill it out send it in. You can register at our site. You can stab me with a unicorn horn, whatever is best for you. You can wipe your ass with locks of Harry Potter's hair. You know, it's up to you.

What bands do you admire?

Mark: That's an amazing question! I actually love IAMBOLLYWOOD. I'm secretly a fan and no, not because Royal's in it. I just love the sound and the honesty of the lyrics. They're put together so perfectly. Somehow it's just something you HAVE to listen to. Queen of Hearts is pretty good too. Great sound, lyrics, beats. All good in my book.

Who are some people you admire?

Mark: JFK, he was a fucking great man. I wish I was John F. Kennedy. Except, you know for the dead part. There's a lot of people I admire. Because in each and every person you find someone amazing inside them, something beautiful about them that makes them so unique, that makes them stand out.

What's the best thing about being a musician?

Mark: There's a lot of awesome things that come with the job. I mean you get lots of free stuff being given to you. You have the chance to make a difference in someone's life. You get to make music which is one of my greatest passions.

What's your most memorable tour moment?

Mark: Well, it's kinda funny but disgusting. Mid perfomance someone flung a filthy thong at me with shit stains and all and it hit me in the face. I'm not sure if it was a fan trying to be sexy with me and like shit themselves because they were so stoked to be at our concert? Or if it was like a really angry asshole who wanted to slap me with some shit, literally. I had like shit on my cheek.

What does the band do to kill time while on the road?

Mark: We sing disney songs and prank call people like we're still teenagers. Since I have a lot of funny accents and voices, I call pretending I'm someone random. I play on the computer and stuff.

A young fan comes up to you and tells you your music has moved them and they want to become a musician like you. What advice would you give them?

Mark: I'd tell them to never give up. To do anything in their power, anything they can to reach that goal, to grasp that dream. I would try to give them advice and try to keep them going, keep them marching on.

Do you have anything to say to the fans of Eclipse?

Mark: I love you guys. Thanks for supporting us. I'm also very glad that my music actually means something to people and they actually like it. It makes it that much better to make music.

Mark! Thank you very much. I wish you much success.

Mark: Thanks!!! Same to you, man. It honestly means a lot.
