Sleep Deprivation is a hell of a thing...(Michael and Dex; 3,15) [26 Mar 2013|01:19am]
There is a bit of a haze as Michael pulled himself out of sheets that seemed a hell of a lot rougher than he remembered, and as hestumbled in he kept tripping on stuff he was sure wasn't there the night before. And the layout for this room isn't right, is it? It's weird, he's not sure he left his room at the Watchtower this messed up...

There's a splash of water on the face when he feels it. Scraggily hair at the base of his face that hadn't been there the night before. Whatever the hell happened last night, there's probably some asshole pasting garbage onto his face, so he stood up and let his hazy, clouded eyesight clear...only to see a face in the mirror he knew was not his but was all too familiar.

"DEX!!!!!!!!!"

Meme Scene - Michael and Avia: Not so pretty flowers... [25 Jan 2012|12:40pm]
It was supposed to be a simple job. Some schmuck rummaging through an abandoned warehouse had found a treasure trove of chemicals and was planning on selling them. He didn't know that what he found were the various old pheromones that Poison Ivy used when she was active and not locked up in Arkham. So he was making a big show about it and being stupid. This meant an easy bust.

And yet somehow it got botched. Which is why *he* was here. Turns out some self-stylized Ivy protege showed up and she was trying to claim it. She also happened to be a hell of a lot more powerful than they expected, and he was number one on the list to get help.

In the middle of the fight, the Ivy person was knocked out, but the crook decided to open fire. Which did nothing to Firestorm because his shot was off. It hit one of the canisters. Michael had reacted quickly, getting them all in a quickly constructed sealed glass room, but Michael was too close to the canister. He thought he was doing the right thing, and now he's hacking and coughing and...on the other side of the glass once the air is clear and he can see, is looking at the face of an angel.

Who happens to be his teammate.

Meme Scene - Michael and Ash: Gifts Gifts Everywhere [23 Jan 2012|07:56pm]
Michael was one who wanted to try new things with his architecture, and with how things have been going with Ash the idea of aquatic building has been interesting.

So to be able to see her and try out a few of these styles is a double win for Michael.

Meme Scene - Cindy and Michael: Weird Dreams [22 Jan 2012|02:17pm]
The offices are closed for the night. The deal was done and the business was looking good. Oh, Michael Choi was a satisfied man, that was for certain. And he could not have done it without his right hand lady, one miss Cindy Lord. And now he can bask in the glory of the limelight, the cigar on his lips and the cognac in his glass, as the night lowers on his office just off of Madison Ave.

He was called the new Mad Man, having his offices there in New York. And Michael Choi liked the sound of that.

Meme Scene [21 Jan 2012|11:23pm]
Michael sure as hell didn't know why he did it. He was acting on pure instinct. Sure, he may not have cared much for Dex as a person but he was a team mate. So him jumping in the way of that yellow goop that called itself Despotic was a natural reaction.

And now here he was. Despotic wasn't like his "ancestor" Despotellis, in that he was some giant germ. He was worse for what Michael was: he was a power stripper. Before he knew what happened, the Matrix petered out and withered like a flame under an extinguisher. At least they were in a place that didn't kill him right away, but afterwards Michael found out something horrible: The Matrix was weakened to the point of near uselessness. At any point he could actually use it, he couldn't make anything more than a coin without a mind splitting head-ache.

He had to "retire". Not even 25 and he had to give it all up. There were some who tried to console him. Ash...God did Ash try. But it was hard. As much as he showed contempt for the Cape Crowd, he had accepted it so much that it left a hole when he couldn't do it.

So now he was Michael Choi. Bitter old man at 30.

RPG Challenge - Chris [24 Jun 2011|05:43am]
Ze Rules:

1. Truth or Dare: Post a scene idea as a dare. It can be in-canon, or it can be AU. You can challenge any of mine with any of yours. I can take the dare, or turn it down, by offering an honest in character answer to any question you want to ask. If I take the dare, you can set up the scene and we'll play through it.

2. Putting the 'R' in RP: So most of the time, rp comes down to casual social or big mod-run plots. This is neither, so let's spice it up. Your dare-scene challenge must involve either A. gratuitous violence, B. gratuitous nudity (I'm willing to play out sex scenes if they make sense, or hint at them) C. gratuitous crack. - because these aren't going through moderation, they can't really change anything, no new powers, no big item acquisitions, but gratuitous hero battles or villain of the week-ish stuff should be okay. Multiple choices from A, B and C are also possible.

3. Pay it Forward: As usual, if you take this challenge and post a scene idea, you also need to put this up in one of your journals, and offer some or all of yours up for scene challenges. Now the tricky part - if I take a dare, I will temp at least one of the NPCs needed, if any are. I will not require you to NPC for me, no. Instead, you must temp at least one NPC in any dares you take.
And, why yes, this is an effort to get people to temp occasional npcs for others in order to encourage RP. You have an easy out in any scenes you're truly not comfortable with - you can always take 'truth', and I may, not every scene will fit my characters or my fancy... but the idea is still to encourage rp, get people doing scenes and playing with characters, whether AU or our canon, and doing the little things to help get scenes going.

My characters potentially up for this:

Will Freeman/Shazam
Michael Choi/Firestorm
Jonathan McIntyre/The Machinist (superhero name pending)
Bob Grayson/Marvel Boy-The Uranian

Test scene - Michael Choi [12 Jul 2010|05:47am]
The Titans Tower was an example of the odd post-modern architecture that the younger generation of heroes seemed to love. Unlike the JSA Brownstone, a traditional art deco brownstone mansion, and the Hall of Justice, a Victorian era Greek Revival throwback, the Titans Tower was very firmly rooted in the post-modern love of odd angled buildings.

It was a stupid looking waste of concrete and steel, if you were to ask Michael. Post-modernism could be nice, with architects like Philip Johnson rejecting the box-like buildings of before. But the Titans Tower was just like that, but in a T symbol and designed with odd supports in the bottom. it was a building Michael wouldn't normally be interested in. But he was in San Fransisco for the day, and he needed to know where he could go to address his situation. So there he was, walking into that abominable building.
