They were going to be careful. That was one of the conditions that Annie had laid out when her and Sam started having sex. That they were going to be careful. And they were. Always. Annie cared for Sam a lot. She really did, and he hadn't pressured her or anything when they started dating, and let waited until she was ready, and it meant a lot to her.

But still, this was completely unexpected, considering how careful they normally were. But Annie wasn't mad at Sam or anything. Accidents happened. It took two people to make a baby, and she was just as responsible as he was. Her brain was already spinning, and freaking out at him was just going to make it worse. This was going to be just as stressful for him as it was for her.

Sam was coming over to see her soon. Annie paced across the room, tapping the pregnancy test in her hand impatiently.

Elongated Girl
Annie can stretch her limbs and body to super-human lengths and sizes. These stretching powers grant Annie heightened agility enabling her flexibility and coordination that is beyond the natural limits of the human body. She can contort her body into various positions and sizes impossible for ordinary humans, such as being entirely flat so that she can slip under a door, or using her fingers to pick conventional locks. She can also use it for disguise by changing the shape of her face, although this is painful and difficult for her. Annie's powers also greatly augment her durability. She is largely able to withstand corrosives, punctures and concussions without sustaining injury. It has been demonstrated that she is resistant to high velocities that would kill an ordinary person and that she is also more resistant to blasts from energy weapons that would kill ordinary humans.

Annie has also had a fair amount of detective training from her father, and possesses a keen, deductive mind.

Fluent in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, and can carry semi-decent conversations in German and Russian. Knows passable Japanese and Greek, but just enough to really get decent directions.

HISTORY

Born to Ralph and Sue Dibny, Annie was raised around superheroes her entire life. She grew up alongside the other JLA and JSA kids, and is pretty close to some of them. From the time when she was four, Annie decided that she wanted to be a superhero just like Daddy. When she was six, she sneaked into Ralph's lab and drank his Gingold formula, hoping to develop powers like his. When Ralph and Sue discovered this, they were naturally worried that their daughter would be allergic to it, as many people are. Like her father, though, Annie was not allergic, and the formula permanently altered her body chemistry to allow her to stretch her any part of her anatomy. Ralph trained his daughter on how to properly use her powers...and have fun with them, too.

Annie did quite a lot of traveling growing up. Though her family remained based in Opal City, Annie traveled with her parents when Ralph went off on adventures. Because of all the traveling she did, Sue mostly home-schooled Annie.

When she was sixteen, Annie adopted the mantle of "Elongated Girl" and started joining her father on adventures. Annie soon joined the Young Justice League, where she's been an active member.

Annie always liked visiting Chicago. She was in the area for a charity event with her parents for a couple of days, and she couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit a friend while she was in town. She'd heard Cindy was living in Chicago these days, so she decided she'd give her friend a call, and see if she wanted to do a lunch and shopping.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Open scene of some kind. Annie will be returning to the JLA after going on a trip with her parents.
What are you planning to do with this character?: JLA plots. Annie, being Ralph and Sue's kid, is pretty well-connected anyway, and I'd love to be able to explore some of those connections.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: I'd love see her possibly become the "heart" of the team, very much like how Ralph was for the JLA.
