♥ mitzi victoria hartwreck was born to steven and monica hartwreck two years after their wedding. she is the oldest daughter of three, and originally hails from austin, texas. her father is a corporate lawyer, and her mother, a housewife.
♥ the family relocated to new orleans when mitzi was eight, after the birth of her youngest sister, candy, to be closer to her father's family. her grandmother had taken ill and being the youngest of five children, the responsibility of taking care of the matriarch fell to steven.
♥ it didn't matter much to mitzi anyway; living in new orleans brought her closer to family members she'd never had a chance to get to know living in texas, and once she met tru hartwreck, her dad's brother's daughter, mitzi never wanted to leave louisiana again.
♥ mitzi was fairly popular growing up in school; a combination of good looks and a sunny personality gave her an instant in with the cheerleading crowd. she was homecoming royalty every year, a cheerleader for her high school, and won prom queen her senior year.
♥ after graduation, mitzi considered college, but instead took a job at walmart, cashiering.
♥ eventually, though, her father realised that mitzi wasn't going to do anything more than cashier for the rest of her life without a push, and thus enrolled her in one of those 'college-by-mail' courses after seeing a commercial for it on tv. so, with her new books teaching her the basics of fashion design, mitzi started on a new path in her life.
♥ she'd always loved making her own clothes and designed her own gowns for homecoming and such, but learning about the intricacies of fashion fueled the passion that was always simmering inside, and with the help of her parents and her aunt and uncle, and with her cousin, tru's, fabulous designs and talents, the two girls opened their own boutique in 2003, where they designed and made original designs, from dresses to separates, and sold shoes and jewelry.
♥ unfortunately, when katrina hit, the shop was lost. the girls came back and together cleaned it up and devoted all their time into fixing it back up, and re-opened in february of 06, just in time for valentine's day.
♥ relationship wise, mitzi's never been the one to keep boyfriends for very long. she doesn't break up with one until she has another waiting in the wings, and while her mother has often commented that mitzi could do with spending some time alone, mitzi doesn't really think she needs a man to survive. it just makes survival all the more fun!
♥ at the moment, however, she is single. the last guy she was seeing turned out to be bad news of the worst kind, and after finding out he was not only still married but had knocked up another girl while they were seeing each other, mitzi gave him the boot. he still calls sometimes, but she's been busy trying to expand with the shop - she and tru have been thinking of opening up another one in baton rouge - that thinking too much of men and their silly dramas has taken a backseat to just about everything else.
♥ mitzi absolutely loves to eat, loves seeing movies, and loves going out dancing. she's not a heavy drinker but she does smoke, probably a little more than she'd ever admit to smoking.
♥ mitzi tends to be bubblebrained and forgetful and once she's set off, she has a terrible temper. most of the time, however, she's in a perfectly lovely mood and it takes a lot - a LOT - to get her mad or even upset.
