So I'm making this entry to remind myself, and to make a few links easier to find later.

I have a LiveJournal account, which is probably what you're looking at. The URL is http://m03m.livejournal.com
I also have a Scribbld account as a sort of backup. The URL is http://www.scribbld.net/users/moem/
I use LJ-Sec to repost my entries to Scribbld. It can be found here: http://www.mp3vcr.com/ljsec/index.html (as well as a manual)
And I'm posting this using Semagic so I can post it in two journals at once, and that can be found here: http://semagic.sourceforge.net/

[Error: unknown template 'qotd']Hard to tell, I like fixing things, especially using stuff in ways it was never intended to be used. I cut up old motorcycle tubes to make nice sturdy rubber bands. Stuff like that.
But the first thing that comes to mind is when I was riding a moped that needed its carburettor cleaned on the way, and after I took the lid off the floater chamber, I found that the screws were so bad I would never be able to screw them back in again.
So I found a piece of wire that was lying around (there's usually something or the other that you can use if you just look around for a while) and tied the little chamber shut with that. And hey presto, it worked.

Man, that moped was a piece of crap. But I got home that day.

Okay, I thought we were all settled with regards to the tickets for New-Zealand, even though buying the tickets was an experience that left me underwhelmed.
Now it seems Air New Zealand have cancelled the flight we were booked on, and I have been informed that if we accept this we'll be flying out one day later.
With the trip being as short as it is (for such a long distance), I'm even more underwhelmed than I was before. I can has moar whelm plz?
So I called De Vliegwinkel (the travel agency) and they'll try to get the money back (the e-mail I got states that this should be posible) and book us on a flight with a different airline instead.
I do hope they'll be able to come up with a reasonable solution. They'll call me this afternoon. Fingers crossed...

We lost four newtlets today. I don't know what caused it, but the container they were in didn't seem to be completely clean. It had some sort of slime or mucous that didn't wash out with hot water alone. If that's what caused it, it may have clogged up their gills or something.
I may need to clean the containers with a brush instead of just rinsing them.

Oh well. Some losses were to be expected from a first-time newt breeder. We'll see how they are tomorrow; at least they're eating heartily.
