To be honest, I like the 2nd one and I think it looks good. However, as someone stated yesterday, I like to add pictures to my UI and prefer a much cleaner and simpler look. The second is more crowded, but it's not just that. Several of the links don't go anywhere- like the scrapbook and buying someone a gift. Would those links be removed or are you planning on implementing those features?
