- nikolas "nikki" darren reagan was born september 21st 1991, making him currently sixteen years old, though his birthday is fast approaching. he was born to cara finnlen and dominic reagan at around twelve in the afternoon, after six hours of labor. he is their only child, and was a complete mistake; something they have never come right out and said, but they don't exactly make their feelings a secret, either. they don't exactly treat nikki like crap, but they've never really welcomed him into their little "family" either. nikki has long since accepted the fact that some people are just not meant to be parents.
- nikki has never been the type to be dependent on anything, and his parents are no real exception. money-wise, he knows that he needs them, but he won't forever and he's also not all that worried about money. while he loves his cell phone, car and computer more than anything in the world, those are the only material possessions that he worries about. and when it came down to it, he'd probably easily survive without them. really, nikki just hates to rely on anything but himself, because he is a firm believer in the theory that all people ever do is let you down and hurt you. so he never gives all of himself to anyone at all.
- emotionally, nikki is far more sensitive than he lets on. while he doesn't care about the people who make fun of him, he is severely bothered by backstabbing friends. he's had to learn a few times over not to let people get to him, but sometimes it proves to be hard when a friend he thought was close stabs him in the back. having learned his lesson plenty of times before, nikki is quick to drop those who seem to be a bad influence in his life and make him miserable.
- when it comes to relationships, nikki is extremely hit or miss. in other words, first impressions mean everything and if he doesn't like someone the first time they speak (the only reason he wouldn't being if they were a complete jerk) he is extremely against letting anyone have a second chance. he firmly believes that whole "do unto others" saying, not because he's some idealist, nowhere close. he just doesn't think anyone should be a jerk to someone they don't know.
- as far as dating goes, nikki has never really had a boyfriend. he's not the type to just date anyone and hope for the best, though he really is most often the type of person who tries their best to accept things as they come. he has never, however, felt the need to date. he'd rather wait until something that feels right comes along, and then go with it from there. he's well aware of the fact that he's got plenty of other things to do in his life then make stupid mistakes and get involved with people who will only cause him harm in the long run.
- nikki's parents aren't exactly huge on the whole family thing. his mother would rather spend all her time sleeping with as many men as she can without her husband finding out, and his father is all about work. he's constantly away, which generally means his mother won't be anywhere to be found for a while herself, too busy out partying and having a good time. for this reason, nikki isn't all that convinced that real love even exists.
- despite the fact that nikki was never really a "wanted" child, his father always had plans for him, wanting to make him be a huge, wealthy business man like himself. however, nikki himself shows absolutely no affinity for being in charge. it's not like he doesn't love attention, because he does. he absolutely loves being the center of someone's attention, and having his ego stroked. in that sense, yes, maybe he'd make a great business man. but normally, he really rather prefers to keep to himself. he doesn't like people being angry at him all that much, and he has no desire to tell anyone what to do in a business setting. unless he were a dominatrix or something, but that idea is a little too whorish for him.
- it is entirely possible for someone to call nikki a prude. he's really not one, he's got an exceptionally dirty mind, in fact. it's simply that no one really gets to see it, and he'd never let anyone even touch him if he wasn't dating them, and serious about it. which is why he's still completely virginal. he's never even been really touched by anyone but himself, though he's kissed a few people. but not many. two, tops. and a lot of the time, he was either drunk, or at least a little interested. thus far, his interest in guys has not proven to have the best track record.
- because of all of this, nikki can sometimes come off as someone who really doesn't seem to know how to have fun. but he has this idea that having fun and hurting yourself should never be one and the same, and his ideals certainly do not keep him from having a good time. despite his whole idea that hurting yourself is bad, he is a well known nicotine addict. in fact, he's gotten in trouble a good few times for smoking in the girl's room. yes, girl's, because boys don't like him in their bathroom. not that he really cares, as he finds it extremely awkward when a guy walks in on him reapplying foundation or lipgloss. he's also a drinker, from time to time, though he tends to keep his good judgment about him, no matter how drunk he is. about most things, anyway.
- when it comes to gossip, nikki used to find him a center of attention often. lately, he's been more or less out of it, he assumes because people have finally gotten used to the way he dresses and presents himself. he never does anything else to get himself into trouble, except for maybe once last year when he got drunk and then punched some guy in the balls for getting a little too frisky. but he still stands behind his decision because he'd barely known the guy at all, and he'd said no. the gossip about that had gone on for only a few weeks, before they seemed to get bored and leave him alone.
- most people honestly find it hard to pick on nikki at all, mainly because he ignores them. there is no fun in making fun of someone who doesn't really care what you say, and they learned that a long time ago. he laughs in their face, entirely amused by their immaturity, and sometimes even calls them out on the fact that they're only cutting him down in order to build themselves up, pointing out that it obviously means they have got a pretty screwed up life, or some problems they don't want anyone to find out about. he knows that it's cruel, and he hates pointing out the flaws in others and stooping to their level. but sometimes it gets so annoying that he can't help himself. and he's more or less completely against violence. sort of.
- as far as school goes, nikki is no genius. he's not the best at math, or science, though he can get by. english, however, is his best subject, which is why he's almost always in high classes. he loves to read and writes occasionally, too. he's an extremely picky judge of writers, and his favorite is anne rice. to him, no one can even come close because her words flow like poetry, without actually being poetry. he finds the weaknesses in every other writer's work. and he'll talk about books and music for days if you let him.
