1. How about a brief introduction?
Liz. 20. Sagittarius. English major. Does not like long walks on the beach (too much sand) or getting caught in the rain (wet wet ugh). Spends too much time on the computer. Actually should be reading Kate Chopin's The Awakening right now. Sigh.

2. What got you into role playing?
Um. All the other cool kids at JediGirl were doing it? Man, I was lame back then. But I had a few characters I actually liked. One from the ROTK RP in particular, although that didn't last too long. I just remember her name was Synne and she was my first real cranky bitch character.

3. What kind of games do you tend to be drawn to?
Whatever sounds interesting, I guess. It helps if there are people I know playing. I like the whole reincarnation thing. I find I kind of suck at fandom games now because I'm no good at playing other people's characters! But I try, anyway.

4. Which character of yours tends to be the favorite of others who play with you, and why do you think this is?
I rewrote the question because the other one was so badly worded. Anyway. People really seem to like Dot, which pleases me, since she's rather a favorite of mine. I think it's because she's right on the line between pathetic and pitiful. Sometimes I genuinely feel bad for her, and sometimes I just want to smack her around a little because she's acting like a baby. I don't know that I try to make her sympathetic, but I think she ends up coming off that way, and I guess some people like that. I'm not sure how well I pull off the witty aspect, but you guys are a better judge of that than I am.

5. What post/thread are you most proud of?
I really liked that one with Dot and Evelyn and the fight and the kissing. "Long Time, No See," I think it was called.

6. Do you find writing easy? Hard? What aspects do you struggle with?
I think it's difficult sometimes. I try so hard to convey certain things in my writing. Show, don't tell - that kind of thing. I'm really moody, too, which sucks, because that affects how and what I write. I struggle a lot with consistency of character - I find it hard to separate myself from the character, which is why mine tend to be too cutesy and less independent of my own personality.

7. Do you tend to use the same PB again and again? Is the character different each time, or the same one tweaked slightly to for each game?
I've used Natalya Piro a couple of times, but it's only because she's the cutest redhead EVER.

8. Write a few sentences on your favourite muse or pairing.
I kind of talked about Dot earlier, so...

9. Do you have any big pet peeves when it comes to RP?
I like the scenes to have some sort of meaning. I really don't like one-off scenes. I find them to be a waste of time and counter-productive to characterization. I like developing relationships in scenes, and it's kind of hard to do so when the characters have no reason to be put into a situation together. I also don't like it when someone asks me to scene and they have nothing in mind. You asked me, pal. :/

10. Are you guilty of any of the pet peeves you hate?
I hope not. I try really hard to be courteous and not waste any of your time. If I ever am annoying you, please tell me to fuck off.

11. What was the first game you joined? Fandom, Original, or Celeb?
Fandom, I think. I used to be a huge LOTR RP dork.

12. Name your favourite muse and what it is about them that you love to write.
Redundant meme is redundant. I guess I'd say that what I love about Dot is the fact that she tries so hard to conceal her vulnerability. She really is a little girl in high heels. She's mean and bitchy because she figures she needs to judge people before they can judge her, so she maintains the power in any relationship. She's scared of real relationships because she's scared about letting her guard down. She falls for people so easily but she finds herself hiding her true feelings to keep from getting hurt, which is not unlike many women. She's young and scared and kind of alone in the world, and I feel like I can kind of relate to some of her problems, which helps a lot in writing her.

13. What would you call your writing style?
I suppose I would characterize it as organized, linear, very continuous. I try to make sure I'm not contradicting things I've said in another part of a scene or story, at least in descriptive prose. When it comes to dialogue and characters? I like characters that I can relate to or find a little bit of myself, which is probably a sign of weakness and shows how lame I am because I can't separate myself from my characters, but that's generally how I design my characters. People always say to write what you know, so... I write what I know so I don't look like an ignorant jackass.

14. Do you have a set group of people you tend to RP with? If so, what is it about them that makes you stick around?
Obviously! I think you guys are the cat's pajamas, seriously. I'm so glad I have you all to bounce ideas off of and be awesome and creative with. You're all really good friends and very talented writers. ♥

15. Name one thing/character you'd love to write/pick up but have been too afraid or shy to do.
I want to stop sucking at writing boys! Any kind of boy I write, they all sound too girly. Ugh.

16. Do you feel uncomfortable taking criticism? Or worse, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?
My ego needs to be stroked once in a while because I lack confidence in all things I do because... well, I don't know why. I should probably speak to a therapist about this issue. Anyway. No, I actually like constructive criticism, because there's no way to become a better writer without understanding what you could be improving on! I just don't like to be told that I suck and there's no hope for me because that kind of thing makes me cry myself to sleep at night.

17. When you write, is there anything that helps?
I kind of have to sit there and think, "Okay, what would this person do in this situation?" It's kind of hard because I try to be true to their personalities, but I think that's a bit of a fault of mine because the whole profile thing kind of restricts me and makes me worry that I'm not doing it right. Music is okay sometimes, but I tend to get distracted. Basically, I agree with Lena - it's nice to know I have time to sit there and think about it before I write it.

18. What inspires you?
You guys! You're all amazing and imaginative individuals and I love to read your work. Also, music, film, television... sometimes I'll make up little scenes in my head from those kinds of things and tweak them to suit my purpose.

19. Lastly, how would you sum up your RP experiences and you as a writer?
It's kind of amazing to see how far I've come in the year I've been playing at Pierian Springs. It's really interesting to see some of the things I've been capable of, and I think roleplaying has really helped me. As a writer, I know there's always room for improvement, but what I'm doing now is certainly nothing I can turn my nose up at, which is nice. (... I think.)

Maybe six.

Notebooks: I used to, but now it's easier to use my computer.
Earthlink: Quoi?
Chatrooms: AIM, yeah.
Message Boards: Used to all the time, but not anymore.
Journals: TOO MANY.

Favourite three characters: Laura Ingalls, Spencer Hughes, Dorothy Parker.
Least favourite character: I've dropped all the ones I don't like, I think. Sometimes I think Cordelia is kind of lame. It's sad, because the Shakespeare character is so good. I think I just fail at doing justice to characters, that's all.
Male or female characters: I'm much better with girls, I think. My boys are always so bad. Except Spencer and Robbie. But even they took a while to get going, and that was after I'd been seriously RPing for a few months, too.
Oldest character: The first decent RP character was Scarlett in like... what, 2004? Maybe 2005? But as of right now, my oldest character is Dot. Oh darling Dot. She's really been through the wringer with me.
Most popular character: The fact that you all seem to love Spencer worries me. Laura gets quite a few scenes, and Dot's been busy lately. Honestly, it's my favorites who get the most attention because I like to write them more.

Which character of yours would be most likely to...
Jump off a bridge: Oh, jeez... Dot, maybe, although she'd rather die quietly and by her own design, I think. Laura might jump off a not-very-high bridge into like. A pond. Peter definitely would. He'd think he could fly or something. Idiot.
Get drunk and pass out: Dot puts herself to sleep like that when she's had a bad day, so, yes. Spencer, probably, too.
Kill somebody in a very unorthodox way: Spencer, probably. Sigh.
Get married: Alice. She'd be a very pretty gay bride. Laura, obviously. She wants all that someday. She's very idealistic about it, though. Robbie, I bet. He'd be a really good husband and dad, I think. Kat wants to get married someday, but she's too antsy to think about it now. Honestly, I want to get married really badly someday, and I think I probably project that onto my characters.
Be far too hyper for their own good: Kat and Laura. Maybe Peter.
Rape somebody: You know, I don't even know if Spencer would do this. He likes to be wanted, really, and nobody WANTS a rapist.
Be raped: Laura, because it almost happened;
Get lost and refuse to ask for directions: Hemingway, because he's a stubborn bastard.
Get lung cancer: Leo gets a lot of secondhand smoke. Dot smokes once in a while, and with her luck she'd get cancer.
Star in a horror movie: I think Kat would find that hilarious.
Star in a porno: Sex tape, Spencer says. Sex tape. Big difference. Also, Kat might do it if it wasn't some kind of weird sketchy deal.
Star in a video game: Robbie, because he's awesome.
Be a rap star: LMAO, Robbie would be a hilarious rapper.
Have a torrid gay love affair: LOLOL.

Relate each word to a character of yours.
Love: Laura
Hate: Self-hate? Dot. Other people hate? Um. I don't know.
Money: Spencer
Seduction: Spencer
Lies: ... I'm sensing a theme here.
Tragedy: Dot, I think. And Leo.
Manipulation: Spencer
Violence: Donatien
Politics: Alex or Robbie
Fire: Dot
Ice: Andie or Leo

Lastly, would you ever...
Play a prostitute? Sure, why not?
Play a musician? Being musical myself, I've had characters who are musicians... John, Robbie, Leo, Alice, Viola... there might be others, I'm not sure.
Play a pilot? Random. Um. I guess?
Play a homosexual? ... LOLOL.
Play a pedophile? I think I would feel really weird playing one but I'm not saying I wouldn't consider it...
Play a politician? Lawyers, politicians... they all run on lies, does it really matter?
Create a character for the sole purpose of smut?</i> I've picked a character to fulfill a certain dynamic or pairing, but I wouldn't say we head straight to smut. I only started writing smut a few months ago, and I don't even think it's very good, so why would I create a character for JUST that purpose? Also, not everything is about sex.

Regan is practically dashing down the aisles of Babies 'R' Us, pointing out things to Cori and occasionally putting something in their cart. Cori drifts along behind her, moleskine notebook in hand, scribbling down things she needs to save up for. The longer this list gets, the more she thinks she's going to have to get a whole apartment to put it all in. Her living arrangement is cramped enough as it is.

"... So yeah, you're gonna want one of tho-- Cor. Cor! Are you even listening to me?" Regan says, stopping her lecture on baby bassinets. She tosses her blonde hair and folds her arms, lifting her brows expectantly at her younger sister.

"Sorry, sorry," Cori says, rolling her eyes and putting the cap back on her pen. "Got distracted."

Regan's expression softens a little. "Are you worried about your appointment today?"

To be honest, Cori had forgotten about it for a little while. "Oh, uh, maybe a little," she lies. If she says she's worried about money and about there not being enough space in Roswel's apartment, Regan might tell Roswel about it and Cori really doesn't want people making a fuss over her and this baby. Not anymore than they already have, anyway. Cori is barely into her second trimester and Regan is already planning on how she can effectively max out her credit card on things for the baby. Cori tried to refuse - their dad pays her bill! - but Regan just waved her hand and told Cori not to worry about it.

Sure, don't worry about it, Cori, she thinks to herself, rolling her eyes. As if she has anything better to do. She's been puking like a fiend, she gets fatter every day, and in six more months she's going to have to squeeze ten pounds of blood, guts, and baby out from between her legs. Nothing to worry about here.

Regan looks at her watch. "We have half an hour before you have to be at the doctor's office. C'mon, I want to look at changing tables."

Cori gives a weary sigh and touches her stomach absently. Better get used to this now, baby. It's all downhill from here.

***

"CAN YOU HEAR ME IN THERE," Skip yells at Cori's stomach, which has expanded a little more in the last few weeks. "OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHOOOOOOOHHHHOOOO."

Cori just stares at the top of Skip's head, her eyes a little wide and perplexed. "Skip, what are you doing?"

He looks up at Cori with an expression that clearly says DUH. "I am singing whalesong to it, what else would I be doing?"

"I don't know," Cori says, crossing her arms. It's partly in frustration and partly to hide her chest, which is growing along with her belly. "Maybe something else that does not involve screaming at my uterus."

"Skip Junior needs to know there is someone who speaks the same language he does," Skip says solemnly, sitting back on his heels. "He is no ordinary baby. He is a special unique snowflake alien whale baby."

Cori's eyes widen a little. "Whale baby? What-- Skip, are you calling me fat?"

It's his turn to look confused. "Huh?"

"Leave me alone!" Cori says, her eyes stinging very suddenly, and she moves past him with surprising quickness, nearly knocking him over in the process. She knows it's the hormones, but she can't help it. She wants to curl up in bed and bawl her eyes out. And on top of that, she's dying for orange soda and nachos, but Regan says she can't have caffeine or extra sugar or processed foods, or pretty much anything she likes. She bursts into the bedroom she and Roswel share, teary-eyed and red-faced.

Roswel looks up from his computer and, seeing that all is not well, closes it and puts it aside. "Cori? Are you-- are you crying?"

That just makes the tears come harder - sheer embarrassment. Cori nods, covering her splotchy face with the sleeves of her toggle sweater. "Skip-- whalesong-- baby-- I'm fat and ugly!" she wails, sobbing into the thick fabric, shoulders shaking furiously.

"Aw, Cori," Roswel says gently, easing off the bed and crossing the short distance between it and Cori. He tentatively reaches out and wraps his arms around her shoulders, holding her close. "No you're not. I think you're pretty."

Cori squirms a bit in his grasp, trying half-heartedly to push away, but there's no effort in it. "Y-yeah, well," she stammers in a watery voice, pulling her hands away from her face and curling her fingers in the fabric of Ros' shirt, inadvertently wiping her wet face on it. She tries to move a little closer to him but the stupid baby bump is in the way, so she just makes a pitiful frustrated sound.

Ros laughs a little, shifting his arm so he can brush his knuckles against her stomach. "I think there's something between us."

That makes Cori laugh a bit, and she relaxes her hand, twining her fingers casually with Roswel's. "You don't say."

Roswel's other hand plays absently with Cori's hair - he can't help it, it's so soft. "So, hey, why are you upset at Skip?" he asks curiously. "I couldn't understand."

Cori sniffs. "It's not important. But no more whalesong. I don't mind the bagpipes, but this baby is not being subjected to whalesong ever again. Especially if it is sung by Skip."

"Ohhh," Roswel says, nodding slowly. "Okay. Um. I'll tell him."

"Thanks," Cori says, her voice slightly muffled against Roswel's chest. "Want to hang out in here with me? Regan says I have to read this book before my next doctor's appointment or she won't tell me the sex of the baby." How she plans on withholding that information is beyond Cori, but she'd rather not have to deal with Regan pouting at her.

"Okay," Roswel says, unfolding Cori from his arms and leading her towards the bed. He lets her have the end with the pillow and sits cross-legged at the other end. "I can play some bagpipes for you, if you want."

Cori reaches for her book on the nightstand and looks at Roswel, a wry grin on her face. "Why the hell not."

That innocent little pink plus sign suddenly looks like a sign of the apocalypse. Cori wraps the pregnancy test - ugh - in toilet paper and throws it in the wastepaper basket hidden away in the cabinet beneath the sink. She leans against the counter, peering at herself very closely in the mirror. It feels like a very out-of-body experience just then, watching those stormy blue eyes flick back and forth over the freckles on the bridge of her nose, the pale purplish shadows under her eyes, her chapped lips.

She feels very suddenly like crying.

"Cori do you want mushrooms on your pizza?" Skip calls through the bathroom door, startling her.

She looks over to the door and closes her eyes for a long moment before opening it and ducking under Skip's arm to get away. "I'm not hungry," she calls back to him over her shoulder, disappearing into the bedroom and shutting the door behind her.

Skip blinks at her retreating form and pokes his head back into the kitchen. "Ros I think the mushrooms are upsetting Cori."

Cori crawls onto the bed, buries her face in the pillows, and cries.

***

"Hello? Oh. Hi, Roswel. It's-- it's Cori. Okay, well, I guess you're not home. I just wanted to let you know I'm at Regan's and I didn't get abducted by aliens, so... don't worry about me, okay? All right. I'll see you in a couple days. ...Bye."

***

Regan simply stares at her with that familiar puzzled expression when Cori finally tells her why she came.

"God, Cor. Well-- well, what are you going to do?" she asks almost conspiratorially, leaning towards Cori a little bit as they sit cross-legged on Regan's bed. She's admittedly a little jealous, despite the circumstances; it always feels like Cori is stealing her thunder or getting the things she wants most. And this is the thing she wants most.

"I don't know," Cori says lamely, looking up from her ragged fingernails. Her eyes are a bit red. "I thought you might be able to help me."

Regan lifts her eyebrows. "Really?" she asks, smiling faintly. "Like... like with baby stuff? I get to start being an aunt, like... now?"

Cori sucks on her lower lip. "So you think I should keep it?"

Regan's eyes widen. "You can't get rid of it," she says, shaking her head vehemently.

"Why not?" Cori asks a little defiantly. "It was an accident."

Regan purses her lips and folds her arms, looking displeased. "It's not the baby's fault."

Cori's eyes start to water again. She squeezes her eyes shut, embarrassed; she's never been a crier. "I just-- I don't know what to do," she says, a little brokenly.

Regan fidgets a little and reaches for one of Cori's hands, feeling a little guilty for upsetting her more. "Well... you said you wanted my help, right? I want to help." She offers Cori a genuine smile and nods her head. "Seriously, Cor. I'll look up everything, and I'll get books for you, and I'll be the best aunt in the history of the universe."

Cori sniffles a bit and gives a watery sigh, wiping her face with her free hand. She swallows and rolls her eyes up towards the ceiling to keep the tears from starting again. "I'm scared," she whispers, flicking her gaze back down to Regan's face and giving her hand a feeble squeeze.

"It's supposed to be scary," Regan says cheerfully. "Survival of the fittest, baby. And you are going to be the fittest babymama in the history of ever." She slides off the bed, plucking a few tissues from the box on her bedside table and handing them to Cori. "C'mon, let's go buy some prenatal vitamins!"

Cori laughs, her voice a little raspy from crying, and dabs at her face with the tissues, following Regan's lead. She drops the tissues in the wastepaper basket and pauses, looking up at at Regan. "Regan?"

Regan slings her purse over her shoulder and looks over at Cori. "Yeah?"

Cori moves forward, sliding her arms around Regan and holding on tight to her. She's silent for a long moment, and then whispers, "I love you."

Regan strokes Cori's hair with one hand, her arm wrapped tightly around Cori's shoulders, and presses her cheek to the top of Cori's head. "Love you, too, Cor."

***

Cori slides the key into the lock and turns it, opening the door to the apartment she shares with Roswel and Skip. It's the middle of the afternoon; she's sure they're at work. For that reason, she doesn't bother staying quiet as she hangs up her raincoat in the closet next to the door. One minute she's definitely alone, the next minute Roswel is sitting on the couch, quietly watching her.

"Hi Cori."

She turns around and, seeing him unexpectedly, jumps about half a foot and grabs her stomach, almost giving a little scream of shock. "Roswel!" she gasps, dropping her overnight bag. "What are you--? I thought you worked on Tuesdays."

"I took the day off," he says, shrugging a shoulder. He looks down at his feet, which are propped up on the edge of the coffee table, and then glances back up at her. "So-- so what are you doing here?"

Cori looks back at him with a guilty expression. She knew leaving so suddenly would hurt him, but she couldn't bear to tell him why she was leaving. She bites her lower lip and crosses the room, sitting beside him on the couch and propping her feet up against the coffee table as well. "Didn't you get my message?" she asks.

"What message?" Roswel replies, looking genuinely confused.

Cori sighs, smiling faintly. "You forgot to check the answering machine, didn't you?" It's typically one of the (many) things she does to keep things running smoothly in their strange little household.

"Ohhh," he says, nodding his head slowly. "Oops."

"I went to go see Regan for a few days," Cori says, answering his previous question. "That's all. I didn't-- I didn't leave." She chews on the inside of her cheek. "You didn't think I would leave, did you?"

"I don't know," Roswel says, shrugging again, picking at a hole in his jeans. "Maybe."

"Ros," Cori says, reaching to still his hand.

He looks up at her with doleful eyes. "Yeah, Cori?"

His face makes Cori want to cry a little - no surprise there - but she leans in and fits her lips to his instead, lifting her hand from his to touch his cheek. She draws back after a moment and closes her eyes, settling back against the couch cushions. She takes a deep breath, reaching for his hand again. "Ros?"

"Yeah, Cori?"

"I'm having a baby." There's a long pause. "And it's yours."

Another moment of silence, and then Ros speaks, his tone inflected with what Cori thinks might be excitement. "Seriously?"

Cori nods, her eyes still closed, heart pounding too fast in her chest. "Mmhm."

Roswel is quiet for another moment, and then he leans over and wraps his arms around Cori's shoulders and kisses her very loudly on the cheek. "Awesome. Can we name it Skip?"

Cori covers her face with her hands and bursts into nearly hysterical laughter, more than a little thrilled at how pleased Roswel seems. She shifts to curl up against his side, one hand curled in the hem of his t-shirt. "Let's cross that bridge when we get to it."

    <lj:music>"Suffused With Love," Sondre Lerche</lj:music>

I thought this was actually kind of interesting, what Micha did with the sleeping thing. I'm going to steal it.

Laura often starts out curled up in something akin to the fetal position, usually clutching something like a pillow or a stuffed animal in her arms. She tends to move around a lot in the night, and I think she may kick occasionally and steal the covers when someone else is sleeping with her (which is why her parents never let her sleep with them when she was little, haha). But she always wakes up the same way she was when she fell asleep, with her knees drawn up a little ways and with her blanket all nice and cozy around her.

Spencer sleeps on his stomach, usually quite sprawled-out. He has a king-sized bed so he can certainly afford to do so. When there is someone else in his bed, he tends to keep his distance a little more, depending on who is there. If it's a random hook-up, he won't move anywhere near them, but if it's someone he's seen more than a couple times (read: Edward) he tends to get his limbs a bit tangled up with theirs. His pillows often end up on the floor for this reason.

Dot usually sleeps half on her stomach, half on her side, with a pillow positioned lengthwise so it goes from her chest up to her head. She usually sleeps with an arm hanging off the bed and her face smashed into the pillow. It is not pretty.

Andie used to wear headgear, so she's used to sleeping flat on her back, arms either crossed over her chest or scrunching the blankets around herself. She wears a night guard to keep her teeth from grinding and occasionally makes weird/gross noises unconsciously when she's sleeping.

Kat does not like to sleep alone, but when she does, she gets in bed, gets under the covers, and pulls them out so they aren't tucked into the bed. Then she makes sort of a cocoon for herself and sleeps with one arm under her pillow and the other hand curled in the blankets. When she's sleeping with someone else, she curls right up next to them and winds her arms around them and snuggles like a champ. She is a bit of a mouth breather, unfortunately, but at least she's warm and sexy.

Hemingway sleeps on his stomach with one arm under the pillow and his face smashed into the gap between the pillows on each side of the bed, usually. He snores awfully and should probably get his uvula removed to remedy that. He also sleep-mumbles sometimes.

Meredith sleeps with the covers tucked in around her up to her chest, with her arms folded over the blankets and a sleep mask on. She is a very light sleeper and the slightest hint of light or sound wakes her up. She's paid quite a bit of money to have her bedroom walls soundproofed for this reason. She gets even more cranky when she hasn't had her rest, so it's unwise to wake her unless the house is burning down around her or God is flooding the earth again, in which case Mer is pretty sure he'd let her know in advance.

    <lj:music>"I'm Yours," Jason Mraz</lj:music>

PART 1: Why did you choose who you did as the PBs for your characters?
PART 2: Who is your favourite PB to date?
PART 3: Which PB have you used most?
PART 4: Which PB are you most unsatisfied with?

Part I

Andrew Cooper // Ernest Hemingway: I'm not exactly sure how I picked out Andrew Cooper. Let me examine my AIM logs to see if there is any thought process associated with this decision...

Okay. I was stuck between Andrew Cooper, Christian Bale, Justin Chatwin, and Paul Rudd. Bale was too... not Hemingway, Chatwin was way too young, and Rudd was not quite Hemingwayish and maybe a bit old, too. And Andrew Cooper had some icons with really nice facial expressions, and he was HOT. He looks athletic and like the kind of guy who likes to go camping and be a mountain man like Miller. So. That's the name of that tune. NEXT!

Gemma Arterton // Dorothy Parker: I think I was just scrolling through hollow_art trying to find a PB for her, and I come across this drop-dead gorgeous gal who, COINCIDENTALLY, is bifflz with Eddie Redmayne. GOOD PLANNING, RIGHT? Anyway, I loved her cheeky look and the perpetual smirk on her face. It was so Dot. She's one of my favorite PB finds, really.

Hugo Sauzay // Charles Perrault: I had originally planned to bring in a Gaston Leroux, was all set up and was planning to PB... I can't remember, maybe Helge Gjerstad? Anyway, I think PBing Hugo was kind of a rush job because there are some pics I really like him in, and some where I think he looks like a fugly slut. Not my favorite.

Luke Treadaway // Leopold von Sacher Masoch: Micha really wanted a set of twins for de Sade and Sacher-Masoch, and Cristal and Lena were using the set she liked, so I did some scouring around ether_bunny @ IJ and came up with Luke and Harry near the end of the list. Harry is clearly the more devious-looking one, and Luke sort of has a sweet, thoughtful look to him, which I thought was fitting for a character like Leo. Plus, we really loved all the pics of them together because they look so brotherly. (I love the ones where they hold hands, so cute.) Also, they were in a movie where they made out with each other. (Which I have sitting on my desk... I need to watch that this week.)

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley // E. B. White: I think I knew I was going to make a girl-shaped White because I felt I could relate to the character more if she was female, and I wanted to keep my male-to-female ratio even. (Yes, I am anal-retentive. This is not new.) Anyway, Rosie is totally hot most of the time, but I found some photos of her where she seemed really girl-next-door and down-to-earth, and I felt like she could fit a character who doesn't quite understand how pretty she is and has all these anxieties and things like that. Also, I didn't want someone too waifish because Andie is a big girl and she is not some sort of damsel-in-distress or anything like that. Yes. Moving on.

Willa Holland // Laura Ingalls Wilder: Pretty much my favorite PB ever. She is uber-cute and has that sort of sweet-yet-sassy attitude Laura has. Plus, I just kind of thought it was funny that Willa looks so adorable and yet is best known for playing that heinous bitch Kaitlin Cooper on The OC. Also, have I mentioned that she is totally cute? She so is.

I'll add the other folks later if you like. My brain is just tired right now.

Part II

Gemma and Willa HANDS DOWN. They are so perfect for their characters, it kind of scares me. Oh, and Spencer, even though I didn't go into him in detail. Vincent Lacrocq was made to play a sexy evil boy.

Part III

I don't think I've used any of them twice, actually. I only really started seriously RPing less than a year ago!

Part IV

As I said above, I was never quiiite happy with Hugo as Perrault, and I question Conrad Matschke as Robin Hood once in a while, but Micha loves him and would probably kill me if I changed him, and I really do like him for the most part.

Wowww, sorry my life has been like this giant pit of busy lately. And that I fail at checking Scribbld. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
2. One of his/her best traits.
3. One of his/her worst traits.
4. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
5. The story/thread/chapter/post/paragraph/tag/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
6. My plans for the character in the near future. (In the case of previous characters, this question reads as "what I planned to do with them.")

The bartender of the café calls him this. It is a great story and you should all read it. (It is also short.) Also, my Hemingway tends to think he is a little crazy, so I thought it was quite apropos.

Dorothy Parker // parkerthelush
LOLOLOL LIZ IS REALLY UNCREATIVE AND DOT IS A DRUNK.

Charles Perrault // des_moralites
His fairy tales always had morals at the end. I would have tried something with Charlotte's Web but I was lazy. Or it wasn't working. I can't remember. Also, I love Spencer.

Marie Antoinette // Anna Hapsburg // diamantdauphine
Diamant is French for 'diamond,' and Marie Antoinette got into some trouble with a scandal intended to discredit her and the French monarchy. It involved some really hideous diamond necklace. Also, before Marie Antoinette was Queen, she was the Dauphine, which is the French royal princess, heiress to the throne, etc.

Mary Tudor // Meredith Tudor // nevercryyy
Henry VIII used to brag in company about his daughter, Mary: "This girl never cries." She's a tough cookie.

Robin Hood // Robbie Sherwood // robbingtherich
Rob the rich to feed the poor. If you've ever seen the Disney movie (which you should because it's clearly the best. OOOOO-DE-LALLYYYYYY!), they say this, like, nine thousand times. It's basically Robin Hood's credo.

I'm too lazy to do the ones for the characters I've dropped. I may add them at some point.

Off and on. I've been in like, a million different games. And by a million I mean probably about ten. Maaaybe 15.
How many characters do you currently have?
Currently have 13. Those number will be dwindling in the near future. Time to prune; back to school, y'know?
How many of them are in a relationship?
Laura, Dot (sort of? I don't know what her deal is, honestly), Hemingway, Cori, Peter (sort of?), Charles... so six.
What's your favourite current romantic pairing?
Laura/Liam forever. Although Dot/Neil is absolutely amusing.
What's your favourite romantic pairing that you’ve ever had?
Ever? Oh, I did so love John/Oscar when things were good.
What's your favorite non-romantic pairing that you currently have or have ever had?
Laura/Vinny, Laura/Hart, basically anyone with Laura. And since I don't know what the hell goes on with Dot/Evelyn, I'm gonna put them down because they're just so fun to write. Oh yeah, and Andie/Jimmy. :D

Which of your characters is most likely to kiss on a first date?
Dot, Spencer, Kat, Leo (if his date initiated), Hemingway (ditto).
Which of your characters is most likely to sleep with someone they just met?
Dot, Spencer, Kat, and Leo (ditto above).
Which of your characters is most likely to have a one night stand?
Dot, Spencer, Kat, and Leo (ditto again). I'm beginning to sense a pattern.
Which of your characters is most likely to have an affair with someone much older?
Dot (it nearly happened with Scott), Kat, and Leo (again). Spencer is too vain to date someone much older than him.
Which of your characters is most likely to have an affair with someone younger than them?
Spencer. Not much younger, but he'd definitely get into some illegal love action if the manstuff was hot enough.
Which of your characters is most likely to have an affair with someone who's married?
Probably Hemingway, if he really wanted the girl badly enough. Spencer, obviously. He has no shame. Dot, maybe, but I'm not sure...
Which of your characters is most likely to have a secret gay affair?
Do I even have any secret gays? I suppose Spencer would have to keep it a secret for work...

Which of your characters is most likely to get pregnant without being married first?
Kat probably, in the event she forgot to take her birth control. Dot, maybe, although I think she's very careful about that because she doesn't want kids.
Which of your characters (that is not already a parent) is least likely to become a parent?
Dot. Spencer? I don't want anyone to have to have him for a father, but he'll likely have to produce an heir just to look good... and he'll do anything for Image, as much as he tries to insist he won't. Meredith, because she'd insist on getting married, and I can't picture anyone marrying that miserable bitch. Leo.
Which of your characters is most likely to get married?
Hemingway (several times, probably), Laura, Charles perhaps. Cori, but probably not until she's quite middle-aged. Kat, probably. Spencer, probably for convenience. Robbie, definitely.
Which of your characters is most likely to never get married?
Peter.
Which of your characters is most likely to stay married longest?
Laura. I'm pretty sure she's the only one. Actually, Charles would be a good husband, I think.
Which of your characters is most likely to get a divorce?
Kat, Dot, Spencer, Hemingway.

Name one of my characters and one of yours.
Forgive me for how cringeworthy the following is about to be.

So I think maybe... five years ago, I got the idea for this story. Mostly because I liked the name Apollonia and wanted to use it. I think it was meant to be some kind of fairytale thing, magic and all that jazz. And a love story, of course, because all the best stories are love stories. (At least I think so.)

Anyway, I only ended up writing (barely) a chapter of it, but Cristal's entry made me think I should post it. Maybe someday I'll actually figure out a plot for it and get it finished. Who knows?

Apollonia Taylor of Trent
Young and inexperienced in the ways of just about anything, 16-year-old Apollonia wants nothing more than to get out of her small town of Trent in Arching. She lives with her mother and several brothers and sisters in a small farmhouse. Her life consists of taking care of the children and milking the cows - not the most exciting life to live, but it's Apollonia's. Her mother forbids her to do much of anything - leave the town borders, associate with young men (her mother thinks it's inappropriate, that Apollonia is too young to be experiencing what it is to be in love - but that could be because Apollonia's father ran off to goodness knows where just before Apollonia's mother, Catherine, gave birth to Apollonia's youngest brother, Aidan), or even spend her own pocket money. All her life, Apollonia has known nothing but restriction and she is ready to leave Trent and explore the other places in the land of Arching.

The Countess of Danesburg
Victoria St. Laurent, the Countess, is a conniving sneak, and is always snooping around and telling lies. Despite her cruel personality, she is a favorite of the King of Arching, and lives in his palace in the Royal City of Banebury. For a long time, she has had an eye on Prince Robin of Arching, and anyone who comes between her and the apple of her eye is going to get a nice tongue-lashing.

The Prince of Arching
Robin, of the Clements of Banebury, is the son of King Stephan, ruler of all the land of Arching. The Prince is constantly trying to escape life at Banebury Court, for it is all false and frilly, and the Prince is not much into frilly affairs. He is aware of the Countess' watchful eye over him, and finds her shallow and overbearing. His father's desire for him to marry does not make matters better, considering he favors Victoria over all the other ladies of Banebury as a suitable wife. The Prince is desperate to leave Banebury and see other places in Arching.

The King of Arching
Stephan I, King of the land of Arching, is a rather foolish man. He does not see his son's hate for Court life, nor does he see the bad happenings in the Court. Above all the ladies of Banebury, he favors Victoria, Countess of Danesburg, a wicked young woman who is deceitful and scornful. He is a good man, but a foolish king, turning a blind eye to anything out of place.

The Duchess of Everwood
Rebecca Carsmore, the Duchess, is a sweet young lady, friendly to all of Banebury Court, even the horrendous Countess. The Countess especially hates her, for she is good friends with the Prince, though not in a romantic-type way, and is 'competition' to the eyes of Victoria. Rebecca is kind and loves animals and small children, and misses her home in Everwood, a province in Arching near the supposedly enchanted Norfolk Wood.

CHAPTER ONE

“Apollonia!”

Sixteen-year-old Apollonia Taylor scrambled back over the fence, her long chestnut hair swinging and her green-grey eyes shining with mirth.

“Get back to work! There is no time to be idle when there is work to be done!” cried the voice of her mother, Catherine.

Apollonia groaned to herself, then yelled back, “Coming, Mother!”

She whispered goodbye to her friend Rachel Cromwell from behind the fence, and somberly walked back into the stables.

“You know you are not supposed to leave your chores until you are finished,” Catherine scolded.

Apollonia sighed. “Yes, Mother.”

“Get to work, then,” said Catherine, gesturing toward the cows and leaving the stables.

Apollonia sat down on her stool next to a cow named Bluebell and rested her chin in her hand. She hated her life in Trent. Maybe a lot of other people liked the country and enjoyed milking cows day after day, but it wasn’t for her.

Her older brother Peter walked into the stable, and leaned against one of the posts, watching Apollonia work.

“Mother giving you a hard time again?” he asked casually, as Apollonia begrudgingly milked Bluebell.

“Yes,” she grunted, steadily filling the milk pail. “It’s to be expected, though. ‘Apollonia, you should set a better example for your brothers and sisters.’ ‘Apollonia, do get back to work.’ ‘How many times, Apollonia, must I ask you to stop horsing around and do your chores?’ It’s all I ever hear from her!”

She looked up at Peter. He was tall and lean, with light brown hair and dark brown eyes, and tanned skin from working in the fields.

“Aw, Polly, you know her. She always thinks she knows what’s right,” said Peter, in a comforting manner. “Soon enough you’ll be out of here. I know you will.”

Apollonia rolled her eyes. “You know, if I even thought about leaving this place, Mother would pitch a fit. I’m going to be stuck in Trent until I die, for cryin’ sakes.”

“Oh, come on,” said Peter, running a hand over his closely-cropped hair. “You always find a way to get out of things. You can do it this time.”

“Maybe I can,” said Apollonia, standing up and shoving her stool against a side wall. A grin crossed her face. “Maybe I will.”

*****

The rooster crowed early the next morning, jolting Apollonia out of a peaceful slumber. Muttering curses under her breath, she lay back on her pillow, pulling one of her many books of myths and legends of Arching off of the shelf next to her bed.

If it was one thing Apollonia loved in Trent, it was the magnificent bookshop on the high street of the small country town. There she spent hours poring over books of lore, telling of the first days of Arching and the great kings and queens and knights of the country, of dragon-slayers, and magic-makers, of wizards and fairies, and enchanted glades and haunted caves.

All this stuff positively mesmerized Apollonia, and she was intent on visiting all these mythical places; perhaps even the great city of Banebury, capital city of Arching, where King Stephan and his son Prince Robin lived, ruling over the vast country that was Arching. Never had she been outside the borders of Trent, and life was beginning to seem very monotonous.

“Apollonia!” Catherine’s shrill voice called up the stairs. “Wake your sisters and come help with breakfast!”

Apollonia rolled over and sighed. “Why can’t I ever have a single moment to myself?” she muttered, throwing back the comforter and rolling out of bed. She pulled back the curtains of her bedside window and threw open the shutters to let the sunlight in, then strode over to the wardrobe, dressed herself in a fresh blouse and breeches, and went into her younger sisters’ bedroom.

“Felicity,” Apollonia whispered, gently shaking her thirteen-year-old sister. “Emily. Emily, wake up,” she murmured, leaning over to nudge her youngest sister, who was nine. “Wash up and get dressed. Time for breakfast.”

The girls yawned and sighed and Apollonia filled their washbowl with cool water from the jug on the table. She splashed a bit on her face and flicked the water from her hands towards the bed, which made her sisters spring awake.

“Up, sleepyheads,” she said, in mock cheerfulness, and headed downstairs.

“Mind the oatmeal, and start cracking eggs,” Catherine ordered as Apollonia entered the kitchen. “Peter’s outside milking the cows. Where are the girls?”

“They’re getting dressed right now,” Apollonia said.

“All right,” said Catherine. “Well, when they get down here, tell Emily to let the cats outside and Felicity can set the table. I’m going to go get the baby.”

“Yes, Mother,” said Apollonia, as her mother hurried upstairs. The girls came clattering downstairs shortly.

“Emily, let the cats out,” Apollonia said, repeating her mother’s orders, “and Felicity, set the table, please.”

That's where I gave up about ten months ago, haha. Anyway, I think it's really lame, but I think the characters have potential. If anyone has any input/feedback/whatever, let me know! :)

I really liked how Cristal did that map of Viollca's apartment, so I decided to map out Laura's house since we may be taking a trip there in the near future. (Bwahahaha.)

Please excuse the mess. I am a really craptacular artiste and I did this at like two o'clock this morning. Bear with me.

DOWNSTAIRS

The Ingallses own a lot of land, but their house itself isn't all that huge. You can enter either through the actual front door, or through the closed-in porch they have. My mom calls it a breezeway. I call it extra storage.

When you get into the main hall, you have a few options. There's a staircase right in front of you that goes up to the bedrooms. You can go left to get to the bathroom/laundry room, straight ahead to the kitchen, or to the right for the living room. The bathroom isn't anything special, so we'll go to the living room.

In the living room, there's a very comfortable couch, along with Charles Ingalls' special armchair. Sit in it and you die. (Unless you're Laura, in which case, you get special dibs. Once in a while.) An older TV set and VCR/DVD player is set up against the wall between two large windows. All the floors in the house are wood, so there are lots of rugs to keep the floors from being ice cold all the time, especially in the winter. The living room is very nice during the spring and summer due to all of its large windows. It's always very bright and airy. Mary likes it because it doesn't feel as dark as the rest of the house, even though she can't really tell either way. (She's blind, in case you didn't know.)

Next is the kitchen, which can be accessed from the living room as well as the entranceway. It's a very warm room, done in shades of red and brown and gold. Very much a country kitchen. The family eats in the kitchen - no dining room. There's a door opposite the stove that leads down into the cellar, and another next to the fridge that goes outside. There's a small patio out there and the Ingallses eat outside a lot in the summertime. The backyard is spacious and the fields go out from there. There's a barn out there and pens for the animals that Charles keeps - some horses, chickens, a couple of pigs.

Back into the house - next is the den, which can be entered from the other side of the kitchen. This is where Caroline does a lot of her grading for school and takes care of paying bills and keeping track of the family bank balance. The Ingalls' old desktop computer is in this room, too. There's a large wood-burning fireplace in this room and another comfortable couch. This is where the family retreats to in the wintertime because it's much warmer than the living room. Laura likes to curl up in here when the weather is bad and read books. Guests generally stay in this room on the pull-out sofa bed.

UPSTAIRS

You can see a bit of the upstairs from the front hall - there's a bannister/balustrade and you can see the doors to the bathroom and linen closet from there. Anyway, you go upstairs and you have... a bathroom and a linen closet immediately in front of you. To the left is the door to Charles and Caroline's bedroom/master suite thing. They have a very large, comfy bed (Charles is 6'2", they need a big bed) and a large antique dresser on top of which sits Caroline's perfume and jewelry, as well as another TV set. They have an adjoining bathroom and a small walk-in closet.

I made a mistake in the hall, that one leading to the girls' side should be two blocks wide because otherwise you go over the living room and it just looks retarded. I told you I'm no good at this art thing. Also, in case you were wondering, the floor in the hall creaks a little. So do the stairs. Laura has learned that very skillful tiptoeing and sliding down the bannister usually bypasses this minor problem in escaping her room late at night for snacks or to get on instant messenger when she can't sleep.

On the other side of the hall are the girls' bedrooms. Carrie (12) and Grace (6) share a room, and Mary (18) and Laura (16) share one. Mary and Laura's room is a little bigger because they're older and have more stuff. Laura has always shared a room with Mary, so it was weird when she went to Lowood and had to live by herself. She doesn't really like it and is always either visiting someone else or trying to get someone to come over and stay with her so she doesn't go crazy or (dear God) end up just doing homework.

Both rooms have shelves to keep collectibles (dolls, etc) or books on, as well as bedside tables and dressers and rugs, etc. The beds have light, handmade quilts for summertime and warm down-stuffed comforters for winter. (Same goes for Charles and Caroline's room.) Each room has a ceiling fan. Charles hasn't quite upgraded to air conditioning upstairs yet.

I belieeeeeve that's it! If anyone has any questions or anything like that, feel free to ask. :3

I just found this girl randomly on modelcouture and she looks like this perfect fairy elf mystical princess thing and I want to scoop her up and keep her in my pocket for eternity. If I ever end up playing in some sort of magicalish game, I'm so using her for some... fairy elf princessy thing. She's gorgeous.

CINTIA DICKER

Jesus. I'm in love with Cintia. I've been trying to PB her for months and I can't find anyone who FITS. I would suggest Elizabeth I or maybe Mary, Queen of Scots, since they're the only redheads I can think of. (Yes, I'm lately really in love with my ARP characters, Spencer and Kat in particular.) Anyway, Cintia is gorgeous and I WILL PB HER SOMEDAY. I SWEARZ.

I'll add more to this list as I find pretty people.
