CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE, and I hope everyone's as excited as I am!!! Oh my gosh, our Christmas palm tree is decorated and presents are wrapped and it's almost here! I love this time of year!!!

I know that since juries are over (woohoo!), most of us aren't practicing, and in fact, we're sitting on our behinds just being lazy. Which is totally okay, we've worked so hard it's good to have a break! But that's no reason we should stop talking!

So okay, I still haven't met all the freshmen (which is so not cool omg), and I miss my buddies (JJ, I'm looking at you!) so let's CATCH UP! With me and with each otherrr! Don't be lazy and sucked into the TBS 24 Hours of A Christmas Story... talk to meee!!!

number one, I love FUN. I love having fun and being fun and FUN. It's necessary when you're from Cali.

number two, so like, okay, everyone knows I'm not the smartest at the school, but I don't need to be. Okay, like for example, did you know that Duquense University said they'd turn down Pavarotti because he didn't know enough theory? It's true. Come on, the guy was one of the best, like, ever and they're all, "blah blah you're not smart enough" well eff that, he did better than all y'all.

number whatever, know that I wanted to go to NYC. It was my big *~*dream*~* to school in NYC. My parents printed out all this stuff from Allegro offline, but replaced "East Bumblefuck, Illinois" with "New York City" so I was all, "Sweetness." But dude, this is so not NYC! I was mildly appalled when we got plane tickets for Illinois, but you know what? This place is pretty kick ass. I like!

number three, I got in cause 1) I'm awesome, and 2) the year I auditioned, they were a bit dry on vocalists. The years before me, they were building up their strings program and cutting back on other instruments, and then bazing, they were out of vocalists! They offered me a place right away. So my parents are totally sweet and were all, "Sure we'll pay!" so yeah, I'm here on mommy and daddy's money, and yeah, it's pretty awesome. I mean, they give me tuition and $200/month for all my stuff. Isn't that awesome?!

number four, keep in mind that just cause I can't recognize Secondary Dominance like, as fast as like, idk, someone else, doesn't mean I'm stupid or anything. I rock at science. My dad was all, "Why don't you do marine biology" and I was all, "That ain't musical," and he was all, "KAY!" I just don't get it right away. Which is okay. I didn't have to retake classes, but I know people talk about my abilities behind my back. Whatever. I love what I'm doing and if they wanna gossip, that's their issue. I love music, even if it's toughsies. Besides, I'm talented. If I weren't, I wouldn't have gotten in. So there.

number five, I was like, "blah blah performance ftw" but now I'm like, "omg what if I don't make it as a singer?" so now I'm gonna add on education and that way I have OPTIONS. I guess I like kids. They're okay! I think I'd be sweet in a high school chorus. Oh my gosh, can you imagine me in band? AHA, tubas are stupid.

number six, don't ever ever ever be afraid to talk to me cause I know I'm a big scary senior but seriously, I love everyone. I love everyone! It's so hard to make me mad, really really, cause I just don't have time to be sadsies, you know? So hells ya, come talk to me! $10 says we'll get along!

number seven, there's a lot of talk going around that I'm... you know, a SLUT or whatever because I'm blonde and I'm from California and I do party sometimes, but seriously guys, I'm so not.

number eight, can someone explain to me the vocal hate? And it's not even just like, instrumentalists against the voice majors--it's voice part against voice part! Oh my gods, sopranos, for real, why hate on the altos and mezzos? For real, just because we don't sing as high as you, doesn't mean we're any less awesome.

number something, I was supposed to be on Broadway. No lie. I auditioned for a traveling Annie when I was six, but dude, I was six and I was all, "CALI BABYYYY" so they went another direction. I'm not bitter. Anyway, I kept pushing and pushing and PUSHING my voice to be the next Idina Menzel, or Ethal Merman, but it wasn't working. Finally, my voice teacher told me to try the classical route, just for fun, and voila. It's now my only love.

number nine, when I was nine, my parents took me to the beach and I saw a beached whale. It was so sad. Oh my gosh you don't even know, it was so so so so so sad. So that's why I got really into science and animals and stuff like that. I chose music cause it's like, totally awesome, but I don't ever forget about that whale--I listen to whale songs and stuff when I study, instead of Vivaldi or whatever it is people around here listen to.

number ten, call me Viv once you get to know me, I friggin love dogs, I swim in my free time, I listen to all kinds of music, I love Chinese food, I hate tattoos, I love piercings, I have a thing for pianists, I think baritones are sexy, I enjoy the ocean, I love dolphins and my favorite drink is a MOJITOOOO!

omg shut uuuup! Dad's not dad. Dad is stepdad numberrrr... five? Yeah, five. He's my favorite of them all, but I don't want to get too attatched. Probably why I'm not big on dating.
