X-Factor had been a great program while it lasted, but eventually, it consumed too much of Julian's time. It was still ridiculously profitable and people still loved it, but Julian had other agendas to pursue and other business to handle. His relationship with Lisa, such as it was, imploded as well, leaving Julian with a desire to start something fresh.

The selling of X-Factor to another network was international news, as was the obscene sum of money Julian made for their contracts. He didn't know who purchased them and didn't much care, in truth. As much as he liked all of them, they all knew there wasn't really any true friendship between them.

A month later, Julian Howard is suffering from a mild case of boredom and very little has worked to alleviate it. He calls for Minnie, after looking over several travel brochures and decides that a trip is in order.
