Oksana/Vlad Kidlet [18 Dec 2012|10:35pm]
A. Zhana Rasputin

B. Sagittarius

C. It was a spur of the moment choice. The JLI had been caught in another universe, and imminent destruction was happening. The JLI helped a team called the X-Men and she met someone. He was an interesting boy, and very cute in his ways. Much like her own parents, it was to be a quick taste of fun before she went back. Turns out her Luck decided otherwise.

D. Jodelle Ferland

E. 1) She seemed to not have her mothers abilities, as if her very conception had burned out any powers she had.
2) Her skin, while still looking like her own skin tone, can become as hard as steel.
3) She is technically a Ukranian citizen,as she was born in the main hospital of Kiev, but because of her mothers role in the JLI is very "Americanized"
4) She swears up and down that no, there is *nothing* going on between her and the redheaded Palmer kid.
5) Although she has a heroic name (Alloy), she is often called Steel by mistake. Zhanna does *not* like this.

Test Scene: Rasputin! [29 Sep 2012|06:48pm]
Rasputin made the last bit of her rounds, the heavy coat guarding against the cool Kiev night and the mask, glasses, and hat protecting something far more important. She may be a member of the Ukrainian government as an elite agent, but if anyone knew that she was the the big hero around here there would be hell to pay. from the drug runners, from the smugglers, and from all those who think Kiev is some backwoods hellhole.

Rasputin sighs behind her mask. She didn't know why the hell people thought that. Kiev was a *huge* city, and the capitol at that. Still, with the government help and the police looking the other way, it made her job all the easier. Also, the magic. That helped quite a bit. The few shots that went her way pull too high, that knife blade somehow gets caught in the fabric of her heavy coat and dropped, that kind of stuff.

And now apparently she had garnered some attention from...someone. Some group of heroes. Maybe the Global Guardians? For now though, she is waiting at the coordinates that were sent to her...and her communicator set to police frequencies in case this is not what it appears to be.

Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Chris!
Email: tokara2132@gmail.com (slightly different than on file)
AIM (if you have one): On File
Character Name: Oksana Molotova (or Molotova-Rasputin)
Character LJ (if applicable): risky_russian
Physical description (face, build, weight): When not in costume, Oksana is a well built woman of about 5'4", with red hair. There are many small nicks and scars over her body, indicating that she has had a rough life. She tends to dress well but simple, with basic suits and clothes the rule of the day for her.
However, her costume is decidedly unisex, with a heavy trenchcoat covering her body and the red mask covering most of her lower face. She wears a red beret denoting her as Ukranian Special Forces over her hair and heavy glasses (which act as a tiny computer screen) and wears heavy boots, giving her several inches in height and a bigger build, masking her gender.
Age: 25
Birthday: December 30
Codename (if using one): Rasputin
PB: Cassidy Freeman
Abilities: Rasputin has access to what she calls "Subtle Magic". Akin to probability manipulation, her magic is rarely as overt as some of the better known heroes, but her ability to shift luck and chance in her favor. In addition, she can place "curses'" on people, ones that denote that they cannot do something or they suffer from serious injury. She also is ex special forces which means she is in excellent shape and is a skilled hand to hand fighter.
Weaknesses and flaws: Oksana does not have any abilities that would defend her from harm. This makes her as vulnerable to harm as any other, beyond her ability to affect chance. In addition, if she pushes her magic too far, she taps into Chaos Magic, which has a horrible affect upon her body and makes her prone to possession by forces.
Character location/Home: Kiev, Ukraine
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero
Team: JLI maybe?
Relatives (living/dead?): Ivana Molotova (mother, alive); Gregori Eliovitch Rasputin (father, unknown)
Backstory: Born of a tryst between Lady Flash Ivana Molotova and mage Gregori Rasputin (not the infamous Mad Monk, but a man of similar name who dealt with Firestorm), Oksana was a woman who was annoyed by her mothers villainy and angry at her father for her abandonment. She was a troubled child in school, made all the worse by the constant demands of moving about Kiev once the Soviet Union collapsed and she was a target for her mothers actions. Yes, she had done it as order, but it was an order from a now defunct government that left many in the newly free Ukraine cold. however, whenever someone acted against her there was always some odd luck protecting her. A bad ricochet off a bar imbeds a bullet in the ground instead of her skull, bottle thrown are caught by unexpected gusts and impact harmlessly to the side.
She enlisted in the military and did all she could to distance herself from her family. However, it was when she volunteered for the Ukrainian special forces that her Charmed Life became obvious: she avoided injury in risks that hobbled other soldiers, incidences where she should have died saw her land without a scratch, and everything seemed to move into her favor. She was tested for a metagene, which proved negative, but when she confronted her mother it was revealed that her father was not just some random drunk she met but a mage. One who specialized in probability and curses. Magic that brushed up against what is known as Chaos magic. Once out of Special Forces, she began to work for the Ukranian government, under the assumed name Rasputin (an annoyance she deals with because not one person aside from her immediate handlers known she is in fact a woman). Still, she is often not taken seriously, even as she takes in a large government paycheck and because of her lack of recognition she is often simply ignored when not acting as Rasputin.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Unknown at the moment, but possibly in a JLI action
What are you planning to do with this character?: JLI shenanigans maybe?
What do you want to see happen with this character?: i would like to see her move beyond  some of her bitterness, at her mother, at her father, and at most of the world
