Scorpius wants to appreciate their mother leaving school to raise him and Cepheus as much as his brother does, but sometimes their mother makes it difficult for him to be grateful to her. He's never really understood why she doesn't like him as much as any of the others, but Scorpius does his best not to let it get to him. He grew up closer to his father and his father's boyfriend, Charlie Weasley, because of it.

Scorpius was pretty much the opposite of Cepheus growing up. Cepheus was boisturous and loud and sometimes randomly and bewilderingly violent -- Scorpius never really got the sibling wrestling thing. Scorpius was sedated and calm. He liked to read and he kept to himself more than any of his siblings. He gets along well with the others, though. He and Xavier both like clothes, although Scorpius is less picky about his hair than Xavier is, and Charlie made sure Scorpius and Teddy shared the same taste in music, although Scorpius himself isn't very musical. His best friend, though, is Victoire Weasley, the daughter of Charlie's brother and his mum's friend, Bill.

Scorpius entered Hogwarts not wanting to be sorted into Slytherin, even if his father had basically promised him and Cepheus they were going to be in Slytherin for sure. His new friend Albus seemed set on Gryffindor, and Scorpius was pretty sure Victoire was headed for Ravenclaw. His hopes were raised when Cepheus was sorted in Gryffindor first, but the hat sent him to Slytherin all the same. Scorpius likes his house, but it would have been nice to be with his closest friends. Even if he likes being able to look into the lake and watch the giant squid swim past.

Scorpius makes a conscious effort not to know too much about Quidditch, mainly because of Cepheus. He goes to Albus's games, and sometimes when his house-mates drag him out to the pitch he'll cheer for Slytherin too, but mostly it bores him. What does interest Scorpius is curse-breaking. Admittedly, it started with an embarrassing crush on Victoire's dad, but now it's Scorpius's greatest ambition to work for Gringott's as one too. Luckily, he has a great talent for Ancient Runes. It comes to him as naturally as breathing, and he got an easy O on his Ancient Runes OWL and he's more advanced than most of the seventh years.
