Test Scene [15 Jul 2013|03:04pm]
Mano laid strewn on the long collapsed couch, watching the tv with a mixture of disgust and awe. He lazily reached over for a drumstick of chicken from the platter nearby and dropped into his mouth, bones and all, chewing absentmindedly.

Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Paul E
Email: have it
AIM (if you have one): know it
Character Name: Mano Kamali'i Kane, aka King Shark Jr.
Character LJ (if applicable): shark-prince
Physical description (face, build, weight):  Mano is a near-physical duplicate of his father with a few minor differences. He is somewhat smaller, standing at just under seven feet. His body is corded with heavy muscle, weighing over 600 pounds, though his strength allows him to move deceptively quick. In Appearance he is a giant cross between a human male and a great white shark.
Age: 24
Birthday: November 14
Codename (if using one): King Shark (Junior, but not to his face.)
PB: (If using one.) The original King Shark
Abilities: King Shark is superhumanly strong though not to the level of his father due to further dilution of his godly heritage, lifting between 10-15 tons on the surface. Underwater this increases to unknown levels. He is superhumanly durable and possesses a healing factor that allows him to take a lot of damage. He can even regenerate lost limbs over the course of a few days. Missing teeth regenerate within a minute.  His teeth are very sharp and durable, capable of biting through  and chewing nearly anything. Consequently he has a powerful digestive system capable of breaking down even normally indigestible items. His godly blood grants him a slower aging process.
Weaknesses and flaws: Mano tends to act first and ask questions later, counting on his powers to see him through potential problems. While much more knowledgeable of modern society than his father, it's still behind the times of more recent innovations. ..He's a f*%king shark, makes it hard to move around in public. If he exerts himself too much he often requires time in water to rejuvenate himself, if he can't then he gets steadily weaker. He also shares his father's temper, and if sufficiently provoked can fly into a feral rage.
Character location/Home: Originally whatever ocean he chose to reside in. Currently prison and soon Suicide Squad HQ
Alignment (villain, hero etc): Anti-Villain
Team: Suicide Squad
Relatives (living/dead?): King Shark, Sr (alive) An Unknown sea goddess (alive)

Backstory: Born from a fling between the infamous King Shark an unnamed human woman, Mano was dropped into his father's lap after birth with his mother leaving as mysterious as she came. Lacking imagination, King Shark literally named his son "Shark Prince" and proceeded to school his son in what it meant to be a giant f*&king shark in the modern world. Mano took to his father's teaching, being the best damn giant shark he could be while at the same time learning what he could of the modern world by listening in on the conversations of passing boats. However, Mano inherited his father's rebellious, irreverent personality and soon disregarded the obvious fact he was a giant shark to explore the surface. It didn't take him long to cause chaos with his sudden appearance, and not too long afterwards for the humans to irritate him with their yelling, guns, and obnoxious pop-culture to send him into a rage. He ended up in a fight with Superman, almost an echo of the fights his father once had with Superboy years before. After a brief brawl that caused considerable property damage, Superman knocked Mano out and handed him over to the authorities. Mano was sent to a prison specializing in containing metahumans. During a mass-breakout attempt, Mano declined to participate, deciding he didn't want to fall into the same supervillain trap his father had fallen in to..more for practical reasons than moral ones. I mean who needs superheroes dogging your steps every time you break out of prison? Intrigued by his decision to stay in prison, Mano is considered for the government's Suicide Squad program.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Mano is offered freedom in exchange for serving with the Suicide Squad until the government agrees to release him completely.

What are you planning to do with this character? Enjoying causing chaos with government approval
What do you want to see happen with this character?: Learning more about his human side, becoming (somewhat)less obnoxious, and even coming to like his teammates.
