Ears were ringing and eyes were blurry. Steve was just coming back to his senses after...something. What in the hell just happened? he had been delivering supplies to...somewhere? Where was he going? He wasn't on the helicarrier when...where was he? on the street in New York? No, that didn't sound right, it was too warm for that time of year.
"Ugggghhhh...what hit me and who can I sue," Steve muttered as he looked about, trying to get a handle on the situation. It looked almost like a lab room, considering just how clean and very...white everything was.

It had to have been a long day for Yelena, so it was up to Steve to make damn sure that, after such a tense day (of which he didn't know much, other than it involving AIM and their regular shenanigans)he had to make certain that she was nice and relaxed afterwards. it's what someone is supposed to do for their significant other, yes?
And yes, significant other. Not girlfriend. Girlfriend was a bit too immature to describe Yelena in that regard. So he had a Bath drawn for her with her favorite soaps and candles ringing the tub, her favorite meal on order and making it's way there, and everything cleaned and tidied to ensure she didn't have to deal with any other crap.

Don't freak, don't freak, Don't freak...
This is what Steve had said to himself time and again and again. the first was when he first asked her out. The second time was when they spent their first night together. The third was when he went into that store, looking for the small band of metal.
This is now time number four. Here he was, dating Alice, a Dugan, and now he may well be marrying into the family. Weird he's thinking about her family more than her at this moment, but when she's related to Dum-Dum Dugan, there was a good chance Steve may well get a personal visit from him.
As if this day wasn't already stressful. But for now, in the midday sun of New york City, he was driving up to her apartment, on their third anniversary, getting ready for a nice dinner. At least as far as she knew.

C. A change in staffing requirements (plus some annoyance at the shenanigans of the lab staff) led to Steve being assigned to the lab as their paperwork jockey. Akward flirting (from Steves end) led to some time as friends, then a relationship. Eventual marriage plans were sped up, what with her getting pregnant.
D. James Franco (ala Pineapple Express)
E. 1) Joseph was diagnosed ADHD and <a href=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oppositional_defiant_disorder>ODD</a> and, while rarely "bad" was often questioning of things.
2) Did not work well in the Coulson household, but loved SHIELD. Why this was...no one knew.
3) Was tested to be a genius and did well in research and development.
4) To those he likes, he is known as the "Cackling Minion" for his like of laughing when given assignments.
5) Has been under suspicion of drug use multiple times, but has not been caught.

Relatives (living/dead?): Phillip "Phil" Coulson (Father, Alive), Amanda Kerris (Mother deceased), Nicole "Nikki" Coulson (Twin sister, alive)
Backstory:Steve was born ready to be an agent. The son of the long term Avengers liason Phil Coulson and his paramour, a concert cellist Amanda Kerris (who died in childbirth). Often one pushed by his father to some greatness (with his patented "conviction" speech), Steve has been a member of SHIELD since the ripe age of 18, the lowest legal age allowed for agents. After some grunt-work, Steve moved away from fieldwork (and possible life-and-death situations) to take up a much more comfortable desk job, one away from superheroes and craziness.
Until his dad suffered a career ending injury, and with the last name of Coulson he was in the short list to replace the somewhat legendary Phil Coulson as the liaison to the current Avengers. Steve is...decidedly unsure as to how to feel about it, but if assigned he will accept it.
