In the wake of the Charlie Hebdo attack in Paris, and the subsequent siege that ended in the deaths of brothers and perpetrators Said and Cherif Kouachi, our thoughts turned to the history of siblings acting as co-conspirators in terror attacks. In April 2013, following the Boston Marathon bombing and pursuit of the Tsarnaev brothers, Slate's Forrest Wickman wrote about this trend. The piece is reprinted below.
