katniss is a total bitch but she's supposed to be. think of all that she's been through, the life they live in district 12 and panem in general and what she's faced with every day. she's selfish and selfless all at the same time but she's also only 16. i can see how she rubs people the wrong way but i could never hate her considering for the demographic the hunger games is aimed toward she's a very impressive female lead being strong, independent, a caretaker instead of a damsel in distress, and she doesn't place romantic love as a priority
