When it comes to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Lyndzie Statler is your girl. She may have grown up on the wrong side of the tracks, but Lyndzie had always tried her best to find good in people wherever she ended up for the night.
Shortly after her 19th birthday, she made a wise choice to abandon her alcoholic mother and flee the quaint apartment to search for a new place to rest her head. Moving in with her grandmother seemed to be the best choice she'd ever made. Or so she thought. To her, it seemed as though she could not get away from her life on the streets of Queens Boulevard for very long, but she knew moving to Illinois was going to be different; it just had to be.
Through the years, Lyndzie kept to herself and immediately became the town loner. One day, while minding her own business, her eyes caught the attention of her next door neighbor -- the boy who practically had her falling heels over head. Nicolai Vittori is his name, and in her eyes, he was only one that mattered. Just as any other friendship, the both of them started to share their deepest secrets with one another. And Lyndzie's heart sank directly to the pavement when Nico told her about the hardships he had to endure with his younger brother. When she can, she helps the Vittoris out in any way possible.
The only obstacle she had come to find was the feelings that began to grow toward her best friend. She also feels she should make the first move, but is very hesitant. She might be afraid of rejection, but more importantly, she realizes they both come from two different sides of the tracks. |
