History: Allison came from a calm and quiet background in a small town in Connecticut. She was the brightest girl in her school easily not even trying in addition to being a star athlete. She even briefly dated Leo Hall near the end of her senior year of high school. Her natural talents and skills attracted Shield. She quickly proved herself to be an exceptionally talented agent, even earning Nick Fury’s respect and some of his trust. However she soon found herself bored doing this and went rogue. Shield tried to capture her but they always found themselves ten steps behind her. She has since taken up as an international thief already proving to be the best at what she does. Finding most of this too easy she has taken to leaving clues as to what her next thief will be just to try and see if this will add to the challenge. In spite of everything Allison is not malicious or evil and is more just doing this for the thrills and has not betrayed anything she has learned while a shield agent.

Abilities: Allison is a high-level genius level intellect who excels at planning. She has the full Shield training and has become a master thief in her own right. Allison is almost always ten steps ahead of everyone.

1. Toltec sets up shop in New York City going after drug dealers after chasing all the way there from Mexico. Causing several blood baths where he kills a bunch of drug dealers.

2. Street level heroes start looking into it. Investigation both the drugs and the person who is ritualistically killing them.

3. Heroes happen upon a massacre in progress. They rush in not realizing what they are dealing with and get their butts handed to them but also note he could have killed them but didn't.

4. Now better prepared for what is going on confront Toltec again. Exact outcome of battle or talk doesn't matter to much but they mange to drive him out of New York City.

Mathemagician NPC

Name: Professor Anthony Carver

History: Anthony Carver was once a brilliant Mathematician. He was searching for a new type of mathematics that could explain reality he became obsessed with finding the math and was fired from his job because of it. He then left the grid and when he came back he was insane but had discovered the math he was looking for.

However he did not get the recognition that he felt he deserved for his find and his out for revenge and a way to make others understand his math.

Powers: Discovered a new type of mathematics which allows for the creation of loopholes in reality by creating math proofs. This allows him to proof that a wall does not exist allowing him to walk through it or proof that the weapons someone is typing to use do not exist making them vanish as long as Carver is in the area. This math is real and does would but only will make sense to someone who has gone completely insane.

Anthony has not powers himself and must create the proof in order to use his math powers. He has a few simple prepared proofs but usually must do the math on the spot and can be pretty quick at them

Thieves Guild(Order of St Nicholas)- A loosely organized group of thieves, Mainly a bother for independents but can cause issues for others especially in social settings, They run the gambit of being dangerous and highly skill to not so much of either. None of them have powers and if caught they are usually set free quickly thanks to the influence of the order.

-Shadow Dealer- The Boss, Steals secrets to sell to the highest bidder

Name: Unknown, Goes by Shadow Dealer

History: Not much is known about the man who leads the New York City Chapter of the Order of St. Nicholas but he is very good at what he does. What he mainly does is sell secrets and information how he gets all of his information is as mysterious as his past but sometimes he sends other members of the order to find more information. He has no moral inclinations and will sell the information he has to the highest bidder. He probably knew the identies of most of the heroes in New York though won't sell the infomation because of the grief he knows it would cause him.

Abilities: The Shadow Dealer does not typically act in the field and prefers to act in the background. He has connections everywhere which he is very willing to use. He is highly intelligent and a master planner.

History: Alaric comes from a very humble past wear he learned how to steal in order to survive and his natural skill at it caught the eye of the Order who recruited him. They trained him and he quickly learned as much as he could about stealing and how to fight.

Abilities: Alaric is a master thief who specializes in getting past the most advance security systems with ease. He does not typically steal for himself but rather gets paid to steal something or simply to test his own skills. Alaric is also a highly skill at hand to hand combat and will typically use it to make a getaway rather than to win the fight.

Physical description (face, build, weight): Leo has blue eyes, they turn white when using his power and dark blonde hair. He is 6’ 1” and 165lbs. Leo typically dresses casually and in a way not to attract attention or notice.

Abilities: Psychometry- Leo can see the past of any object, person, or place. When reading an object Leo much touch it with bare skin this lets Leo see moments of important and high emotion that were directly related to an object. When reading a person he can see important or emotionally charged memory from the point of view of the person he is reading. When reading a place Leo can only read a place that has been marked by very strong emotion like for example the scene of a mass murder.

Leo is skilled enough with this power that he can have it stay turned off and not read everything he touches however if the reading is overwhelmingly strong he will get the reading even if he has his power off. He can also search for a reading that has information that he wants to find but doing so takes longer than just a standard reading. He can typically sense highly charged objects that would make him read them if he touches them and can work to avoid them as he needs too.

Mind Overload- Leo can use a reversal of his Psychometry to make a person relive their worst memories at the same time causing the person to lose consciousness. How long the person is out varies from person to person based on the memories, mental state, and mental fortitude. This ability requires contact for several second to do. This power is not without repercussions to Leo as he gets a glimpse of the memories he is forcing the person to relive and also drastically lowers Leo’s blood sugar.

Skills: Leo is a capable Private Investigator and has all the skill associated with that including lock picking, tailing, reading body language, ect. Leo is also a skill shot with handguns but he prefers not to use them if possible. Leo is a capably brawler but has no formal combat training other than basic self defense.

Weaknesses and flaws: Using his abilities causes Leo blood sugar to lower while he can use Psychometry multiple times before it causes any problems but Mind Overload take his blood sugar for a massive dip so he cannot use his powers again without putting himself in danger. To offset this Leo typical carries around hard candies like lifesavers and jolly rangers to eat after using his powers. When using his powers he is completely unaware of what is going on around him. If a reading actives by itself then Leo has no control over what happens during it and is stuck in the reading till it runs its course. However one he has had the reading it cannot active by itself again. To lessen the chance of reading occurring by themselves Leo will wear gloves and cover up as skin that way it won’t active on contact but typically Leo does not have to do that has his control is very good.

Backstory: Born in a small town in Connecticut that didn’t even have a Dunkin Donuts, Leo’s childhood was fairly quiet. This quiet never really suited Leo whenever he went to the city his eyes seemed to light up and he just seemed happier there. Life in a rural town was just not for him he and his parents knew that at an early age.

Leo’s powers developed at an early age causing problems for him as he had no control and with his ability activate sporadically throughout the day. This made him a bit of a loner in elementary school and early middle school has he was afraid to touch people and objects.

However as he started to gain better control of his ability he slowly started becoming more sociable. By high school he was once again interacting with others like a normal person only having an occasional unwanted reading.

But his ability still caused issues with dating as his ability made it hard for him to get intimate with people. Whenever he did start to get intimate with someone his power would active showing him things that he didn’t want to see like the last intimate things the person had done. This made it very hard for Leo to have relationships with people and is a problem that he still hasn’t been able to fully get over.

After Leo graduated from high school he told his parents that he had decided he was moving to New York City and that he wanted to open up his own business as a private investigator that he would be going to community college for the classes he would need for it and maybe even get a degree. Leo felt that he could use his ability in a productive way by doing this.

Four years later Leo is running a relatively successful business as a PI and while he wasn’t rich he does have money to burn. Leo has recently gotten a case investigating the activities of the supposed Kingpin of crime in New York City.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Private Eye investigating the Kingpin.
What are you planning to do with this character? Have him work on taking down the organized crime organizations in New York City.
What do you want to see happen with this character?: Have Leo work on his intimacy issues.

Sample post:

Leo had spent most of the day tailing a woman for a client. Apparently He thought his wife was cheating on him and wanted proof for either she was or wasn’t cheating on him. While this wasn’t Leo ideal job the money was good and easy plus he had done a read on the woman’s watch which showed him that she was being secretive because she was planning her husband a surprise party and she was very excited for it.

Still his reading can prove anything to other people since they can’t see it but at least he knew that this was an easy job and could hopeful prove to the husband that he was just being paranoid and that his wife loved him. Though it wasn’t he could really give out relationship advise given how much of a mess his usually ended in.

Though it wasn’t like it was entirely his fault usual the problem came when his power would active itself and show him stuff he didn’t want to know or ever see about his then girlfriends. Sometimes it showed him something that she lied about and sometimes it showed more intimate moment that she had shared with other people. To make thing worse it usually seemed to happen whenever he was starting to get intimate with them.

His power was really a mix of curse and blessing for Le it made his job easier but made it very hard for him to get close to other people. But for some reason he still did keep trying thinking maybe this time thing will work out better.
