I got a suspicious delivery on the fourteenth. Luckily, I was not fooled and destroyed it with a well placed hex.

My aurors need to learn from that. Do not trust your mail. You never know when someone might be trying to kill you or lure you into a trap.

I swear...the new aurors get more and more idiotic as the years go by. They do still make them pass tests, right? They don't just stick a sign up sheet on the door of the Ministry? If you can write your name, you're in? And don't worry, spelling doesn't count? Seriously? Aurors are dark wizard hunters. They need to actually possess something resembling a brain. If you want to go pull cats from trees and pretend to have an exciting job to get shagged, go be a hitwizard.

Even money half of them quit or get themselves killed in some monumentally stupid way by year's end.
