So, there are some things I need to share with the lovely people of the wizarding world.

First, New York is just as amazing as everyone says it is. I mean it's loud, and crowded, and some of the people are unnecessarily unpleasant, but the whole experience was one I shall never forget. Never in my life have I seen buildings so tall - and built without the aide of magic! Extraordinary! You get used to the persistent sound of car horns after the first day, though getting used to which side of the road they're coming from almost got me run over more than once. Thankfully I was able to put up a charm at night to block out the noise. I can understand now more than ever why they call it the 'city that doesn't sleep'.

I'm also happy to report that the conference was also an experience to remember. I was in the same room as some of the most brilliant healers from all over the globe, and I was one of their peers! It was just...it was amazing. I'm still in awe.

While I was on the other side of the globe, I also paid an old friend a visit. I can't believe how many years it's been since I've seen Em - it's been too long, really. She has a beautiful family! I, of course, had to show off pictures of my own.

I'm still trying to get settled in, having only returned home on last night. I spend my day sifting through candidates for my trial which officially begins next week, so I still have things to be unpacked, and photographs to share. For now, I'll just leave you all with this.

Bloody hell, time flies.

In 2 weeks I leave for the states, and just a few days after I return, I will begin my clinical trial at Mungo's. I've prepared a presentation on what kind of results I'd like to obtain within a year's time, and Eliza has helped me with some charts and visual representations.

I need to figure out how to condense my speech. Last thing I need is for them to fall asleep while I ramble on about percentages and theories. I just have so much to say on the subject.

So I have some news. News that I need to run by you, because it's big news.

There's a conference being held for healers in my field in August. I've done a lot of research on it, and only the best of the best are asked to attend.

I've been asked to attend...but the thing is it's in New York, and it would mean being away from you and the kids for about 2 weeks on the other side of the world.

I don't know what to do.

Eric is going to be 2 years old in 2 days.

How the hell did 2 years fly by already? Dana has already been with us for 3 months, and I feel like I've just blinked since Eric was brought home from the hospital.

I'm the father of two, and sometimes I feel like I'm still at Hogwarts. Merlin knows a time-turner would do me a hell of a lot of good outside the castle walls, having kids and a wife who want my full attention when I get home from a shift at Mungo's. All I want is enough time in the day for a nap.

And now I'm daydreaming about naps, which is absolute torture.

This is as close to 'celebrity' that I'm ever going to get.

I don't think I could handle the stress of being a celebrity - people keep staring at me when I walk into rooms. Makes me concider how much attention famous people receive on a daily basis.

You have my pity. Unless of course you're one of those people who like the attention. If that's the case, than good on you. You can have it.

It is pretty cool, though. I can't deny that.

I can't believe I've been so busy that I haven't had the chance to tell everyone the good news until now.

Eliza and I are expecting again. A baby girl, due in October.

Eric doesn't quite understand the concept of being a big brother at the moment, but we're sure he'll get used to all the pink and fluffy things that are sure to be coming into this house as the months go by.
